RUNES ARE TOO HEAVILY FOCUSED ON SCALING
People complain a lot about lane bullies being bad right now. As a Renekton main, I don't feel strong at all early.
It seems like with the new Rune system, the meta has shifted to a scaling type of playstyle, a lot of the runes are about scaling:
Precision: -Legend: Alacrity -Legend: Tenacity --Legend: BloodLine
Domination: -Dark Harvest -EyeBall collection -Ravenous Hunter -Ingenious Hunter -Relentless Hunter
Sorcery: -The Ultimate Hat -Celerity (The more the game goes on the more you get movement speed items such as boots, making celerity stronger) -Transcendence -Gathering Storm
Resolve: -Grasp of the Undying -Conditioning -Overgrowth
Inspiration: -Kleptomancy (accelerating scaling) -Perfect timing -Magical footwear -Future's marker (accelerating scaling) -Biscuit Delivery (Just like celestial body, making scaling safer and easier) -Celestial Body
21/60 (35%) of the runes are focused on scaling, isn't that a bit too much? it means that 1/3 Of the runes are focused on scaling. Why is there not more constant runes such as Unflinching or Sudden impact Or situational runes like Hextech Flash or Waterwalking?
Not even mentioning most scaling runes are either: -Forced to be taken, like Legend and Hunter series -So much better than non-scaling that they are always taken and the most popular by far. Like the 2nd slot in sorcery tree with Transcendence, Celerity and Absolute focus. Let's be honest here, no one ever takes absolute focus, and it's pretty obvious why.
Resulting in both scaling oriented champs and not scaling oriented champ having scaling runes, scaling oriented champ have a clear advantage.
Shouldn't be something done about that?
