I think I remember this being a queuing feature for like a week in season 4, does anyone remember what happened to the idea, and why it "didn't work"?
If I'm being too vague, it was where it would match you with teammates based on the number of games total that you had played. So a 1000 wins player wouldn't be matched with a 1 win player.

A Gold I player with 100 wins will generally be of similar skill to a Gold 1 player with 1000 wins.
One may have more experience, but if they are still at the same level of play (MMR) then there is no really reason to differentiate.
