MMR Makes Lower Divisions Harder Than They Should Be.

MMR is broken and should not be used to place players. I am currently playing with bronze players and I am at least a Gold lvl player at my lowest. The fact that I have to play with players who, don't know how TP works, don't know how to end games with 20k gold leads, and are just plain oblivious to all of the simplest parts of the game is just wrong. Instead of learning from their mistakes, or listening to other people's advice, they just keep banging their heads into a wall and get nowhere. It is not possible to carry these people. They do not listen to anyone, just run forward for that 1 kill on their own agenda. You can go 20-0 at 10mins in and they will still find a way to lose the game for you. This just goes to prove that MMR is a horrible system. It doesn't judge your actual skill as a player, just if you got lucky enough to win a few games in a row. I know that someone will comment that carrying bronze is easy, but they will obviously be some diamond player who has never actually had to play in bronze games. It is called Elo Hell for a reason. Getting an account out of bronze shouldn't be twice as hard as getting out of gold or plat, but it really is.

Maybe Riot should help these low skilled players learn the game better or something before they get into a ranked environment. That way lower elo would be less about luck and more about actual skill. I'm not saying skill wont get you out of low elo, but you need a lot more than you should, and on top of that skill you need a lot of luck as well, which shouldn't be the case. Way too many negative variables to work around compared to higher elos, who don't have to deal with that many variables.

If anyone has any pointers to get out of the lower divisions, let us know. I know there are people out there who fought threw the hell and got lucky enough to get out. What can you tell the people doing the same to help them advance? Whether you believe it or not, you can get stuck in a lower division as a higher skilled player, and it is a lot harder to get out of these lower divisions than most people think it is.

I usually don't agree with these "ELO hell" threads. Looking at your match history, you do seem to have a good case.

It is more about adaptability than skill - most of solo queue is - is it not

adapting to your teams behaviour rather than following a standard mindset and all that stuff

also wards

I will just be happy with the team builder ranked next season. Getting so tired of people not getting the role they want so you end up with 3 adc, or mid ect. Or a support that is super aggressive, and constantly hits minions or doesn't buy a sight-stone.

But yeah, seeing some of the things people do at bronze is cringeworthy, like chasing someone into a bush right after 2-3 enemies walked into it seconds before. Also, not warding their own lanes, and yelling at the support when they get ganked, like they expect supports to just ward everywhere 24/7. Even if you do ward, and ping mia or incoming they don't back off, get ganked and blame the rest of the team.
