Wukong Mid sleeper op?

Yo this is not a QQ post, i'm just wondering why this champ has went so far under the radar

Lets look at what he has/how overloaded he is; invisibility, mobility, an escape, aoe cc that does a shit ton of deeps, Towershred, Burst, DPS(Q att spd), and finally passive tankyness that combined withitem 3812 and CotC makes him nearly unkillable during ult... The fact that Wu is so forgotten is insane, especially now with the lethality changes which he works so well with, you don't even need to build black cleaver anymore just dive the carries

item 3071 item 3814 item 3142 item 3812 item 3036 vs tanky teams or full lethality vs squishy, play him mid full damage and carry your whole team on your back with his overloadedness. Check my match history if you don't believe

Wu still does benefit from a BC, and if he takes CotC, he has no keystone pre-6. However, if you look at Nightblue's recent videos of Wukong, you'd realize that he now has a very quick and fluid combo that sacrifices some damage for speed and reliability, and it's actually relatively hard to counterplay. Because Lethality has granted Wukong so much excess damage, he can basically delete a squishy by Q'ing in advance into a ER and delete q squishy before the knockup ends. But he's still as balanced the same reason Annie is balanced; just position better, and he'll never be able to touch you without flash.

He does, but honestly I think Duskblade is way better midlane, due to the extra damage to squishes since i don't take TL and extra synergy with W

I don't think a Duskblade rush is a good idea, as the passive scales off lethality. However, if you find yourself backing with 1.3k+ gold, then by all means get to work on that Duskblade, because 1.3k gold backs are pretty big already.

IMO, the introduction of Shroud of Night (AD, Lethality, MR, spellshield) along with his tolerance of the Maw of Malmortius changes (from arPen to CDR) made him fare a LOT better against AP mids, as he can now survive trades a lot better with early access to a spellshield along with his other desired stats (adding in the invisibility/stealth changes to his clone, where you can't see him no matter what).

Did he really need the various defenses against AP, though? Was he not tuned to be a top laner, with top lane level of damage...

Wukong top has a 45% winrate, he getts shat on too hard by tanks and tanky fighters

exactly why you take him mid. He has just enough mobility to not be kited forever, and his supposed top laner kit should let him win trade vs mages rather easily. If all else fails, you can always just take a corrupting pot and farm to 6 for the all in, like how old Talon played.

Wukong has been sleeper OP since season 5. Riot and by extention the playerbase just don't care because he doesn't get played much.

Kind of like Amumu.
