He just needed a little bit of love and a meta shift.

We finally landed in a meta where Aatrox is competitively viable, but instead of giving him the love he needs he's just been removed from the game.

"but his kit is stat checky" so is every fucking top laner, including Kennen who they literally just buffed a few patches ago, and Aatrox's stat boosts are on hit ult (like a lot of stat boosts are) or are conditional on his passive (like Jax's and Irelia's).

"but he's a drain tank" who has to be in melee range and attack every 3rd hit, and his healing is based on missing HP so its less effectively while at high HP. That's so many weaknesses

"but all he does is auto attack" so does every fucking AD carry. Ever consider that some people enjoy auto attacks and that playstyle?

"but his kit is too similar to other top laners" That contradicts him being a "drain tank" because no one else is a drain tank, therefore he can't be the same. Also, no other bruiser has around 400 attack range, making Aatrox very unique.

"but he's difficult to balance" says who and what proof do they have? He's not ranged like Vladimir whose been left broken for a long ass time. Removing Aatrox while not totally gutting Vlad seems contradictory.
