Dark Harvest's slot should be replaced with an entirely new rune.

I say this because there is already an add to your burst rune, eletrocute. They fit the same exact playstyle so it will always be "which is stronger?" Predator does something entirely different and fills its own niche, and so should the rune in dark harvest's slot.

Infinitely stacking damage by playing the game with a rune is awful design also, and ruins skirmish modes like ARAM and blitz where you pop it an extreme amount more times than it's balance to be popped.

Better idea, remove keystones and bring back s5 masteries and runes.

Half of the runes reworked are just adding more dmg in different ways. That is not diversity. They should have more keystones like glacial augument or kleptomacy that actually do something unique.

The entire rune system needs changed. We need runes tailored for each individual champion reminiscent of the augment system from onslaught instead of our current one-size-fits-all system where a rune abuser either gets the rune nerfed for everyone else or they themself get nerfed specifically for their synergy with that rune and thus become dependent on it (which stiffles player choice)

If anything, replace electrocute with new DH. DH actually changes my mindset playing the game, as I start to care about my stacks and play noticably more aggressive for kills than I normally have had, with Kayn. Dark Harvest only scales well with it's souls, otherwise Electrocute beats it, so you actively need to be playing aggressive to keep it scaling, unlike Electrocute.

Nah I’d rather they merge the two: Electrocute’s non infinite damage scaling and DH’s method of proccing.

I really find the execute thing much better than electrocute’s combo restriction, you can use it in a team and it can be balanced around having a lower amount of damage (because it’s more reliable), and it encourages the assassin “clean up” playstyle and not the “3 hit 100-0” playstyle

It’s just not good when a rune is usable only in a burst combo to make it burstier in a meta with so much quick damage already. For a lot of its users DH functions as making harass stronger to those at a lower health as well, which makes it flexible without needing extreme numbers. But at the same time it’s not like comet which I think has other problems in that it’s undodgeable, but still has a telegraphed use case that lets you prevent that damage (respect their range when you’re lower)

it was unique before riot was dumb and buffed it and tried to make it for "jungler" so junglers dont stay in the jungle but they didnt think outside the box and didnt expect it to be used by laner when all the junglers were telling riot not to do it. Previously u had to wait till mid to late game for dark harvest to actually affect the game. (because u have a 30 second window to proc it otherwise u have to stack again). in terms of power previous version was weaker because u had to wait for 150 stack before you can actually affect the game and u must also AA someone not "damage" someone. Now u can proc it easily

They should just make it like Shadow Fiend's passive and have it so that it only applies to abilities, and all stacks are consumed upon dmging a champion and you gain stacks like it did previously

Dark harvest is a bad design rune, not only it is similar to electrocute but also easier to proc which only require to hit someone under 50% hp which can be activate by stuff like dot. Let not forget that you no longer require to collect the soul but instead get it free when you proc it.
