Enough of the god damn %max hp damage.

This is getting absurd, Riot. Every other new champ is getting it, its so laughable at this point, what is possibly the reason for this, so squishes don't get bursted? It's just stupid.

Enough of the goddamn base and scaling damage.

Enough of the goddamn mobility.

Enough of the goddamn crowd control.

Enough of every mechanic ever.

Actually, % health damage does kind of help squishes not get bursted to be honest.

The issue arises when people can reliably and repeatedly proc %health damage.

Because Riot loves tanky damage dealers. It makes team fights look better than glass cannons one shotting each other. This kind of damage promotes the kind of play they want.

It's dumb really.

It is dumb. Tanky damage dealers are AIDS.

percentage health damage is so that even when behind champions can still deal relevant damage. it's also easier to balance around since it's mitigated by resists (exception being fiora's vitals).

%Max HP damage is so that you can deal damage to a tank without instantly obliterating squishies.

If a tank has 5000HP to kill him you have to do 5000 damage. Which is almost 3 ADCs, even more after resistances. So %HP lets you damage that tank and beat him, without just giving you 5000 damage rotation.

It's because it makes tanks/bruisers easier to balance. If they have high flat base damages to compensate for their inability to actually build damage, their mid game becomes too strong because they annihilate squishies without building significant damage, then fall of hard in the super late game because their damage is no longer high enough. If they have moderate % HP damage, their damage can stay relevant throughout the game without ever being overpowering.

So for tanks/bruisers, % HP damage is a good thing. It's just bad on characters that are stacking damage anyway, because they will have a strong late game and be able to kill tanks without it.

Yorick is a bruiser, so it's actually good that he has % max HP damage.
