Taliyah is finally playable
im so happy! I love u S7

She's been playable, though.
Typically a 40% winrate suggests something is horribly wrong with a champion. It was.
They barely changed her though. They changed around a few numbers on her E like a month ago, but that's about it. She was and still is sleeper op, people just suck with her. Which was how she was back when she was first released, then they tried to dumb her down so she was more accessible for everyone, and ended up making her completely broken for people that were already good with her.
She is not "op". She is pretty much balanced. Her Q is a bit too strong which is why she seems very strong and her W E combo a bit too weak, she would need a little power shift. Her ult is really nice, but has an almost 3 minute cooldown on level 1 with a compairable small range at level 1.
She seems slightly UP to me the few times I've played her recently. Not saying I know her as well as you, but compared to the "one rotation and obliterate the teemo" her damage seems somewhat weak, I would put her on the level of Ashe. Then again, whenever I decide to play her, I'm up against a Ryze, Zed, or Ekko with their stupid blinks, lol.
Taliyah has no chance against assassins. Champion that get close to Taliyah mean death. Which is why she is so hard to learn. You need to kite good. Slow them with rylais Q spam or/and the hextech ice item thingy. She was designed to be a control mage, not a burst mage. The 6.14 patch changed her a bit from control to burst. She can deal good damage, not compairable to ryze, syndra or annie etc. but still not bad. Her utility (E slow, Q spam, W knockback, ult zone/trap is what makes Taliyah. Her kit is overly fun to play and even though I lose my lane in 70~% of games, my roaming tools and utility bring victory in 60% of my Taliyah games. I could not wish for another champion. Taliyah is my favorite ever since release, she is perfect.
It was actually that control aspect I loved about her, not the burst playstyle of the dozen other mages. Her roaming is amazing especially when you can pull off the nice ult that splits the enemy team (or pin them to a wall, did that on a Katarina and it was just beautiful)
?? they gave hr a buff in 6.24
Mid-6.24 (about a month ago), they increased her E base damage and AP scaling slightly, but reduced the damage on subsequent hits by 10%. They also nerfed rylai's, which was a core item for her.
Edit: meant Q, woops. I was thinking her threaded volley, but typed E for some reason.
They buffed her Q* not her E. Changed the AP ratio of her Q from .40 to .45 and the base damage by about 30 at max rank, but decreased damage from subsequent hits from 50% less damage to 60% less damage.
It is a slight nerf tho if you have more than 730~ AP, which in most cases won't happen with the builds I use.
even this won't hit 730 ap.
Sorry, I don't know why I kept saying her E, I was thinking her Q but typed E for some reason.
Rylai's didn't affect her, he got the same thing from that item as she did before
100 less health, 25 less ap, and 20% instead of 40% reduced movement. How did significantly nerfing a core item on her that helped her kite easier not affect her? She still builds it, and the slow is still useful for kiting, but it's not as good as it was before.

A bit of an exaggeration - but I don't disagree with what you are saying.
wrong. Taliyah's low winrate is because of her learning curve. She is amongs the top 10 hardest to learn champions in the game
she's not even the hardest champion to play
She is one of the hardest to learn. Her W is one of the hardest CC to hit, as it is easily avoidable with a little movementspeed and reactions.

Nidalee :(
Nidalee? More like RIPalee haha... ha... [zombie-nunu-bummed]
Taliyah was pretty much playable before too
Always been playable. Unless you are referring to Taliyah being played in Competitive LoL, such as LCK as such. Or that she feels like she has a place in League, not the best spot in league, but a spot or role again in the greater scheme of things.
BUT, she did suffer after latest set of nerfs in different meta. Now meta is more control mage and she can do a bit of that to an extent and to roam bot to snowball the first brick, first blood tower gold and get a possible double from a 4 man tower dive, then Taliyah is perfect for that 4 man tower diving play. ADCs 2017 lul meme is helping bring her back. Also good at keeping some tankier foes at bay with slows and pushbacks to help kite or peel for allied team.
Seems those things might have helped bring her back overall.
Still not the best spot, but it isn't horrible relative to what it was.
Sadly, Riot does not balance the game around normal players separately from pros. Forcing us to one single thing. I'm sure otherwise, we can have a slight powershift in Taliyah's kit to allow her to be a bit "more" Solo Queue friendly (as she is now, more for higher elos with people that know what to do to win, instead of having a fiesta of people not knowing what the hell they need to do to win).
