That's not the problem,

The problem is how Riot thinks having a late game item as the counter for an early game champ is okay. It's like having GA as the counter for Panth, it just doesn't work.

And yeah, Zhonya is really just OP as shiet, it counters everything and not just Zed. At least GA doesn't provide AD, has a shiet long CD and the effect can not be manually controlled, you can't save it for later.

Except for the fact that a person can easily get the drop on you if they have some hard CC that can be procced right after you get out of stasis. It's not the best item in the game. It's good at its job, and fills much of the same niche as GA except with AP instead of MR.

That's the point it's an item is used to counter things. What's the problem?

Ya next time u go against Annie mid rush a zhonyas against her, all her spells are countered by it. Don't even keep your distance or play cautiously while she has her stun up, just predict her flash w or tibbers with your zhonyas to hard counter all her spells rendering her completely useless. GG all champions trash vs Zhonyas ff at 20 if they get it

Actually, delayed abilities hard counter zhonyas. They're guaranteed to work, because you can't move.

I love playing Lux and timing my ult to blast face as soon as Zhonya's wears off.
