"Gold is Trash"

Gold is trash. Silver is even more trash. Bronze is beyond trash. We're all trash together! Some are just less trash than others! :D

You know what is really trash. The ranked system in general. It's probably only accurate at Platinum and up. I feel like in all honest Gold is there to say hey you survived the toxic people and climbed your way with luck into people who understand the game and don't necessarily mimic the pros every single game. I struggle to climb to Gold in this game not due to my own skill, but due to the enemy team being too fed half the time. In HotS I am at about rank 14. Which is top 38% with a 17/10 win loss in a game with less carrying. And I can't even get past top 50% in League lol.

Me and my friend duo'd and we could smash teams 2v5 in silver but you get that one guy who doesn't know when to admit they are unable to win their lane and feed the hell out of them and it ruins the climb. I usually try and say hey "This match up may be rough, I may need help" or ask for help. The only time I get mad is when the team seems to ignore you when you ask for help and you then start to feed because you know you can't win and are just trying to contribute and your team won't bail you out then complain.

Basically everything below Master/Challenger is trash. You'll find trolls, feeders, AFK'ers, etc in basically everything up until then. Even Diamond, while having significantly less than Bronze for example, still has It's fair share of trolls and feeders, some of which have the audacity to elo boost just to ruin other people's game when they worked hard to get the rank and deserve it.

What's wrong with someone below gold saying it? Not all Bronze/Silver players have the mentality they are gods and are held back by their team. Some of them accept they aren't good and genuinely try to get better.

Well when you consider the amount of silvers/bronzies that circlejerk eachother in G&B then yea, they will try to undermine ranks they cannot achieve.

Does it even matter? If this game tanked, would that rank mean anything? When you reached the Gold division, have you been able to take that to a company, a manager, or someone who is hiring people for work and be able to say you qualify for that specific job because you're able to reach some random division in a game?

On to the less drastic/radical point of view- Sure, ranks can mean something. Our ranking system is not entirely perfect, but it still does it's job. If you're gold you probably do have a better understanding of the game than those in lower divisions.

I personally find it to be pretty pathetic to flaunt around how "good" you are based off of what division you're in. To be a blatant shitter about what division you're in and how much better you are than everyone else makes you look like a maximum asshat.

Everything is honestly trash. No matter how high you go up, there's always going to be someone better than you. Then you're trash. And even if you climb to the best, you'll eventually fall. No question in that. You could be #1 challenger NA but if someone pulls out how faker is so much better than you, then you're "trash". Thing is when you call other people trash you have to look at yourself, did you achieve anything besides a glorified medal in a video game? Have you won worlds? No? Then why are you calling anybody trash? Oh, because you're "better" than them. Well news flash boy, you're fucking trash too because someone's better than you. A diamond player saying gold is trash is like a serial killer telling Hitler's he's an evil person and is never going to heaven. Like, you're both fucking inbred bastards who should be tied to a stake and burned alive, just as the diamond and the gold are both still bad at the game.

It's just us acknowledging that we're also trash.

Low plat is trash aswell. Even diamond V has boosted trash up there.
