Played since season one: I've never been less excited for a new season.
New seasons should be an exciting time full of the joys of experimenting with the large changes to the game and trying to do well in your placement matches. Instead we have the joys of:
-
Increased homogenization. The only choices you have now to customize your champion is your item build and the choice of six runes. Compare this to previous seasons where we had the choice of 30 runes, 30 mastery points and an item build. I know which system I preferred.
-
The shortest games since I started playing most of which are just snowball fests.
-
Too much damage caused by unbalanced masteries.
-
Lack of defenses caused by the removal of runes.
-
Getting one shot by duskblade assassins.
-
Getting one shot by ADCs who are suppose to be sustained damage dealers not burst damage dealers. Remind me again why ADC have the cheapest final build in the game (bar supports) when they also scale the hardest? Just madness...
-
Paper towers.
I just feel no joy in playing the game anymore so I guess it's time for me to move on... Pity, league brought me a lot of fun times in the past.
