I'm dreading the inevitable AP Assassin Eve rework

This coming from someone who played her back before her first remake, including after the Yorick patch where Riot broke her legs.

Getting burst from stealth is awful to play against. And honestly I never thought it was particular fun to play as, either. There's just not much nuance to it. Just run up and perform a raw stat-check 'n they explode or they don't. I'm honestly hoping for more of an AP Skirmisher if Riot is dead-set on removing Eve's hybrid scaling. And I'm talking here a real AP Skirmisher, not whatever Ecko is.

But if Riot does go the full-on AP burst route? Expect Eve to get shit-canned with nerfs and then forgotten about.

I was able to do 1600 crit damage and armor shredding with Eve pre rework at level 12-15 with only three items. I get why she was reworked, because she was either broken or crap.

She's still really strong against people she might not meant to be. Like Olaf, you can 1v1 Olaf as Eve and win, if you do Eve right.

Some reworks bring good changes, like Poppy, and some are absolutely terrible like Rammus. I can't say for sure if this will be like Fiora pre-rw, where she was able to 1v1 anybody but not teamfight, to still not teamfighting but 1v5 with health and sustain. We'll have to wait and see. To be honest, I haven't purchased champion skins since the reworking process started a long time ago as protest.

AP only Eve sounds boring. She'll probably be brought more in line with Ekko, with lower cooldowns and damage.
