Did the assist timer change?

I feel like it's too short now. Did this change?

I actually really enjoy playing support, but I feel like I ONLY get assists as support, and even then.. I still miss out on assists.

It kind of makes me feel worthless :\ Like I'm not contributing, but I'm putting all my effort into that fight, with no result.
