..They all have at least 3 of these:

  1. Immensely High burst. Leaves literally no room for counter-play. If the burst fails, they still survive because of #2 #3 #4
  2. Crowd Control, often times hard cc such as knockups, stuns, or slows... Often times AoE for no reason... [See Ekko]
  3. High mobility
  4. High juke-ability [such as Riven's and Ekko's entire kits]
  5. High survivibility because of the previous 4
  6. Ranged poke (often times totally free, such as Katarina's dagger spam)

Often times, they have 5/6, if not all 6.

Ekko Riven Kalista Katarina Leblanc Yasuo Fizz Ahri Zed Rengar etc.

Wait a minute... Those are mostly Assassins & Fighters?!? No way! Surely there isn't a trend of champions in those roles becoming ridiculous and annoying to play against in every single match!.. No no.. People don't make countless threads daily to complain about them for a reason. Nah. Riven Senpai is totally a weak champion. Katarina is fun to play against! Ekko is fun to play against! Leblanc is fun to play against! Right?

Well I'm silver so Ekko isn't a problem haha, and I main junglers soo Yasuo isn't a match for jungle Rammus although I will agree even with an Amumu Fizz and Kat are still OP and Lb just got nerfed I thought. Maybe the real question is should their burst be nerfed and their sustain be buffed?

Doesn't a certain Malphite and/or Shen build kind of put some sort of "Void" to this topic? dmg can get across to any of the stated champions, All I can agree with is the annoyance of playing against an overly chosen champion. Going into detail here is difficult because you'd be calling upon all my knowledge of League of Legends just to describe some aspect of roles. But, from what iv'e noticed Katarina gets fed very often and goe's into one hitting from there and not right off the bat, Ekko one hits off of a full Ap build, Fizz jukes overly aggressive players so very often, Lb is played as an assassin, Yasuo Abuses ability chains and cooldowns to what ever so extent given by Riot, Ahri will kill whatever she can, zed will toy with you until he can decipher your pick choice intentions but your dead by then alot of time, Rengar is just the choice of the century high mobility stealthy and a great jungler.

I find LB to be fun to play against now after her w change i honestly think her e needs love, she has lots of counterplay Ahri is fine without her dfg for free kills without landing any skillshots - if you eat her full combo its your fault However the rest have to be overloaded with potential to be even slightly effective- melee assassins. They need mobility and burst to do their job. Aside from riven and rengar, the cc on the champs that have it is hard to land (zed e doesn't count as hard cc.) The damage they deal is highly reliant on being right next to you, something that is hard to accomplish without being hit by cc and bursted down. These champions are NECESSARY to the meta because it means that every game you play wont be vayne and kog maw on both teams- I assure you an unthreatened kog will ruin your day more than any of these champs
