Make LCS its own gamemode.
That way you can properly balance champions/items/etc for 98% of your playerbase without hurting your LC$BIGPLAY$. Seems like a win - win to me.

Did you literally think this up and then immediately type it out and post it without even giving it a second thought?
The game played in LCS wouldn't even be the same game the rest of us are playing... it would be confusing and nobody could relate to it because they'd be making these LCSBIGPLAYS on stream and then you'd go into the normal game and not be able to do that.
Not to mention it would make absolutely no sense... like how could you train to be in LCS if the normal game isn't like the LCS version? All of your skills and knowledge of the normal game couldn't translate over to the LCS game because champs/items/everything could end up wildly different. (especially over the course of say, a year or two)
Lets not even get into the fact that Riot would basically need to develop for two completely different versions of the same game. Putting unneeded strain on programming/designing...
For example, just take a SINGLE champ: Lee Sin. Since he is the most complained about "big play" champ... say they nerf him for the general public and then leave him the same for LCS. Now people are seeing Lee do stuff he can't do in the normal game, and they will get confused... and now the LCS version will DRASTICALLY be different from normal simply because of one champ... since then any future changes are going to take the Lee Sin changes into account... the two versions will get farther and farther from each other until the LCS version is literally unrecognizable from the normal one.
So you mean to balance champions around noobs?
I wish they'd do this so we can finally get more bans without someone crying "but Froggen's Anivia...."
Seriously this is the best fucking idea ever I thought of it myself a while back, but it would probably require a good deal of effort on riot's part for little monetary reward, and they only care about lc$ and skins, they don't give a shit about solo queue balance.
Another upset individual over lee sin j4 zed move along.
I am literally going to bump this until a Rioter comments lol.
It's good, but often meta champs emerge because of the LCS. The meta might get stale if sheep don't have a shepard to follow.
Hmmm... LCS is supposed to be the best players of the classic mode. The problem is that what's played on LCS isn't OP, they are just the best within the current meta. But RIOT has decided that they won't let players learn to counter and change the meta and, instead, insta-nerf everything that becomes popular.
and then people wont try playing champs they see in lcs because they are different than on live servers. yay :D
Except LCS shows the same trends towards picks/bans as live so the balancing isn't helping LCS either xD
But then they need like 2 balance teams. And a lot of people here think the one we have right now is incompetent.
