So when is Galio gonna get some love?

I feel like he has a lot of potential to be awesome, with how he nobly sacrifices himself and what not. Should they rework him or not, what do you guys think?

He doesn't need a complete rework. I personally would love if they just lowered some mana costs.

No rework please. Feel like if they did that his ult would be the only thing which would remain. But do agree with the fact that he needs some love. Lower mana costs would be the easiest without pushing him over the top.

I play him occasionally to combat high mobility APs mid or any champion with a DoT spell. His W literally just heals you if they use a DoT on you.

He's still a good champion, and the buff he got recently to make his ultimate no longer affected by tenacity. That really gave him the buff he's needed for ages.

If anything I think he just needs some mana cost adjustments. His Q, while very strong, can be a very difficult skill shot to land and its very punishing to miss with because of its high mana cost. His E spell's damage is negligible, but the MS utility is nice., but the mana cost is ridiculous for what it does. I think his W and his R are his skills that make him shine.

Just be sure you always use your W on yourself before your R so you get that extra AP from his passive.

This used to all be solved by just building item 3028 because you got rid of the mana problems and you got MR which translates into AP through his passive, but since the mana regen changes with the new season, it really doesn't help the way it used to.

I think skill wise he's ok, but the mana costs really need to be addressed. His ultimate is still and always has been a game breaker, its just better now that it isn't affected by tenacity.

I feel like he needs a bit of a rework, maybe not total but definitely more than some number changes. They recently changed his ult so it's no longer affected by tenacity, which I think is pretty cool, but his theme has a lot more potential than what he currently has, imo.

Honestly, he wouldn't require a lot of work. He's got a strong and unique identity and is all fine on the conterplay side. A new passive (and adding MS scaling directly to his abilities) as well as some minor changes to his other abilities would be enough I think.

What if they changed his autos to ranged? Eye lazors. Makes for a safer and less spell dependent laning phase.

I feel he is somewhat okay as he is now. The only real issue he has is his high mana costs. His only other "flaw" is his ultimate, which makes or breaks him, but that is fine as is. If he pulls off a 5 man ult or hits the priority targets, he should win, but if he misses/fails it, he loses his ult and possibly the fight.

they desperately need to rework him and Urgot

They only thing keeping Galio back is his itemization. Every item that's good for him gets nerfed. Abyssal Scepter's range. Spirit Visage's CDR. Bulwark being removed. Force of Nature being removed. Athene's Unholy Grail being nerfed. Buffs to magic penetration. Still, he's a great counter to AP and DoT-focused champions. Him being melee but having mid-range abilities is a little counterintuitive, but those abilities allow him to thrive in lanes that would be hell for other (non-caster) melees.

they made the taunt on his ult unaffected by tensity, they also said they be change him so that his skill scale of mr and just give him a new passive. But, this was said some time ago

Galio is actually a really strong champion, with a few key issues that could be easily fixed. First, is the fact that his ult is affected by Tenacity. Meaning the entire enemy team can just grab Merc Treads and literally walk out of his ult. That's a problem. Making his ult not affected by Tenacity would help a LOT. The second issue is that he has an ult that REQUIRES him to jump into the enemy team, but has no way to do so unless he flashes. I think his E speed buff could use some help to help with that. Maybe make it so if Galio is on it he gains extra Tenacity so he can rush into the enemy team? Dunno, the guy needs some help getting his initiations. Then his last problems is REALLY high mana costs. He has a lot of trouble using any of his spells consistently unless he invests pretty heavily into some mana, which can hurt him in lane, and in teamfights. I don't think he needs a full re-work, just a few tweaks.
