Would it be fine if...

The new yellow gold income item that has supports collecting coins? Not sure if it's still called Ancient Coin. Anyway, When I first was playing support and also now when I'm the bottom lane ally of his I wonder: Why not let the support share the blue coins with his lane partner?

Would the extra mana for your lane partner be too much or would it be fine? I mean, whoever picks it up first gets the coin. However, the distance for the lane partner to pick up the coin should be about half the distance so they don't accidentally take it as much. Obviously, it wouldn't work very good with melee lane partners because then they'd be taking your coins all the time I guess.

As a support player, no. I budget my mana with the knowledge that if I have this item I will get sudden bursts of mana every so often, and play around them. I don't want to deal with sharing with an ADC who is already outperforming me in gold and will be getting all the kills, and given my elo, stealing all the ward kills off my red trinket too. It would just be difficult and irritating for the supports to deal with, since they're given so very few resources to work with as is, and then here comes the ADC stealing their mana.

Well, I am not fond of the idea either, but I think it's an interesting one and I liked reading your opinion on it. I'm just a little surprised that I got a response like this but I guess I didn't need to be.
