Am I not allowed to play with my friends and have fun on this game?

I don't understand the matchmaking. I'll queue for normal games with my friends. I'm plat, they're diamond/plat. Every game I'm duo queue my teammates just feed out their ass. We're not talking losing their lane. We're talking about being blown away like they're bots versus faker.

I just don't get it. Why do I always get such useless teammates when I duo? I always have a great score, great farm, high kill participation and near top damage. Same with my duo queue partners.

Is the game compensating for us being duo queue by giving us the worst possible teammates it can find? Does anyone else experience this? I'm only plat. My friend is diamond III and still can't carry these kids.

I understand that its normals. But when this shit happens almost every single game it becomes straight up unfun to play. A plat and a bunch of diamonds shouldn't have to work insanely hard to carry every single game in normal. My normal games are harder than my fucking ranked games.

I don't know what to do. My friends have basically stopped playing the game because of how unfun this matchmaking is.

Well most of the time those that are plat or higher play ranked either solo or flex with friends. The amount of people that play ** normals** AT any given moment AND have plat + skill level is minuscule. SO i order to pair finding a teamates and enemies at approximate skill level in normals is beyond 1% so in order not to wait 1hour to get a good match, you get paired with gold that feeds like there is no tomorrow. So play Twisted treeline, at least you will have 1 more bad teamate vs 3 good or mediocre ones.
