Now she pushes the buttons but doesn't get the damages until later. It's hard-gated by a delay that does not encourage any form of interactivity, just waiting.

Same thing with Akali. In fact, the issue with Akali was tank akali, but now Akali players are more inclined to build tank so they can actually dish out the damage...
