Your towers are too weak

When no one interferes, people can 1v1 the inhib towers.

Buff that shit.

Granted, it takes a while if you are tanky enough to do it.

I have been saying this for months. Tower damage in the game is a complete joke once you hit level 8. They literally need to at least DOUBLE the damage on the inhib and inner lane towers.

It's the strongest it's ever been in league. In S1 towers didn't even have armour penetration. S2 and S3 towers got the stacking damage buff but it took longer to stack it up, and S4 pretty much had similar normal towers but no laser towers. Since laser towers are much stronger than normal towers it's an overall buff.

The problem is that the champions have outscaled the towers. They have more armor and health than ever before. That is why the towers need buffed. A carry should never be able to dive a turret solo for 5+ seconds to kill someone. That happens pretty regularly right now.

You are so full of it. Carries don't have more health or armor "than ever before". Carries have rarely recieved hp/lvl or ar/lvl buffs and newer ones don't have more hp or armor than the older ones. I mean Graves is from S2 and he's still near the top in terms of hp and armor when his passive is fully stacked. Lifesteal has also been nerfed pretty hard since season 1, back then some carries could tank towers a lot longer than 5+ seconds because the towers were so much weaker and lifesteal was so much stronger.

And if you're talking about tanks then you'd be wrong. Most big armor items have recieved nerfs and while cinderhulk helps you stack HP the really huge HP items(like old Warmog's with 1350HP) aren't nearly as strong.

If you think the current towers are strong then you simply haven't seen Season 1 and 2 tanks completely ignore them for almost a minute. Some tanks could even out-regen tower damage with Force of Nature.

Towers aren't supposed to protect you mid and lategame, they're objectives that you should protect. If a team is ahead they should be able to dive you(and they always have been, in every season). If anything, laser towers are so strong they're stopping strategies that rely on splitpushing and solodiving an underfed enemy. They should be nerfed, not buffed.

Azir, Jinx, Tris, Fiora, Heimer, Jax, Kog, Yi, Nasus, Trundle, Trynd, and Xin all melt towers so quick. Lifesteal isn't as powerful as season 1 but ADCs are almost unkillable with it right now unless you have 3 or more people focusing them.

You have to be out of your mind if you don't think tanks have WAY more health now than ever thanks to cinderhulk. They don't even need armor to tank towers anymore. The items don't need as much health because with cinder, they actually end up with more.

The towers have really never been strong relatively speaking. That is why they need buffs. Make it where people have to juggle aggro and use some actually skill to dive someone.

If towers aren't there to protect your team, why even have them at all?

No, they don't. Cinderhulk gives you 25% bonus HP. I've never seen someone get more than ~600hp from it, you'd have to stack up over 2400 BONUS hp to even get that. I don't know how you'd even get 2400 bonus HP pre-cinderhulk with a reasonable build. The difference between old warmog's and the current one is 550HP, that alone almost makes up for cinderhulk and that's if you're STACKING health. Add to that how strong Atma's was back in the season 1 and 2 METAGOLEM and you got champions stacking up like 5000HP while still doing ridiculous damage and having decent resists. And since cinderhulk is a jungle enchantment you'll mostly see it on junglers or some toplaners. And Cinderhulk only starts being good when you're nearing full build, you can't just rush it for a massive health spike.

Towers are objectives, they're only there to protect you earlygame, lategame you're supposed to protect them. In fact, a lot of people used to complain that towers are too strong compared to Dota or Hon as lol towers are actually really deadly earlygame.

As for champions that wreck towers... Jax, Trist, Nasus, and Trynda were always very good at wrecking them, they were actually even better before Riot buffed tower armor. Yi could legitimately backdoor(without creeps) 2-3 towers before he needed to heal up.

I'm not sure where you are getting your numbers. Warmogs was originally 900, was reducted to 850, upped to 1000, and then dropped where it is now 800. At 800 health, cinderhulk grants 200 health, so there isn't a net loss at all. If you figure in the passive now, it is actually stronger than ever.

I can see your point of view on the towers just being objectives. I just think the game would require more skill and actually be more fun if the towers were stronger. Then you would have to use a little more strategy to dive someone, that is all I'm saying.

I'm getting my numbers from actually playing the game. Warmog's was 900 flat health but it had a passive that permanently gave you 4.5 hp and some hpregen every time you killed a unit, capping out at 100 stacks or 450hp. That's 1350HP in total. And that bonus didn't reset on death like the old Bloodthirster, it was permanent.

I double checked. I stand corrected.

Still, towers need to be buffed, not nerfed. Double so since there is so much mobility in the game. It's quite simple to get out of range now. Nerfing towers at this point would make them fall so quick that games wouldn't even make it to 20 minutes. That would would make the late scaling champs completely useless.

Except that games are actually longer on average in S5 compared to S4 according to statistics from pro play. I mean, towers have been buffed and games go on longer, if you buff them even harder every game will last 50 minutes and earlygame bullies will be completely useless as they won't be able to snowball their advantage with dives.

Lugg1 votes

I think the reason for the longer games isn't due to the towers. It's due to the larger player base. The more unskilled players you have, the longer the games will go.

Frikgeek1 votes

What part of "statistics from pro play" did you miss? If you're trying to argue that S5 professional play is worse than S4 professional play then you're completely ignoring how much more structured it is.

Lugg1 votes

You are discounting the fact that the competition is better this year and that players are better coached and understand strategy better. It's crazy to think it is due to towers being strong, because they are not.
