Stop pushing ranked banned players to normal draft!

So, I've been playing normal draft games for some time now. I liked the mode because the community it had. People were nice and didn't flame on mistakes. It was completely different than ranked or blind pick.

Not anymore, though. Now that all these players banned in ranked are forced to play normal games to get back to rankeds again the community's got a whole lot worse. In a week I've learned to know about 20 different trolls/afkers/flamers etc. who constantly ruin games and are there just to get unbanned. The mode that had nice and friendly people got contaminated and is no more. Now it's just like every other game mode, if not worse. The quality of games has fallen and with it, the whole experience of playing the game has got quite bad.

What I'm asking is that do not ban these people from ranked and force them to play normals instead. That's just moveing the problem away from it's source. 30 games and they'll be back trolling in ranked again, wishing death upon others just like they did before. If you just move them from one gamemode to another, you ruin experience for both of the split communities that like the different modes.

I'd suggest to just straight out banning people with timeouts that deserve bans from ranked. If they aren't allowed to play ranked because they ruin the experience there, why would you move them to ruin other games instead? That's just lazy design and a bad solution. Give us the normal draft back that we used to like.

They should just ban them out right, with a new ban system. Simple fix would be....

1 time ban = 24 hour ban 2 time ban = 72 hour ban 3 time ban = 1 week ban 4 time ban = 2 week ban 5 time ban = 1 month ban 6 time ban = Perma ban

Some of you might disagree, but if a player gets to the 6th time. They have truely become a toxic and unwanted part of the playerbase that no one wants to play with. That being said they have become such a problem by that time that they have caused other players "Summoner's Code" abiding players to leave the game.

How many by 6 you may ask left? that a possiblity of a min of 24 players. The real number would be unknown because its prob over the course of over 100 games or more that these players have made a bad gaming experience to others.

What do these bad player cause to Riot?

Less players which results in them earning less money. So the only solution is to get rid of the problem.

Honestly, I don't see your point.

If ranked restricted people are trolling and being general asshats in normals they won't get back into ranked and be punished further. If that still doesn't stop their behavior, then them intentionally feeding, afk'ing and the like will happen no matter what happened. Now at least, people will only lose time (and maybe a bit of faith in humanity, but that requires some to begin with :P) and not LP.

Essentially, I think you're confused on how ranked restrictions work exactly. 30 normal games completed are required yes, but if their behavior continues they're not getting back in, they're going to punished further. Like, for example, temporary bans as you suggested.

These people should just be stuck in a "league hell" mode. Away from people just trying to play the game, they've got no choice but o deal with the sickness they spread

There was a thread a while back comparing draft pick to the new prisoner's island, and it's pretty accurate. The toxic turds want to play draft cuz it resembles their "esupruts" more than teambuilder, and it gives them more excuses to flame their team if they're doing it intentionally. What Riot needs to do is actually create a real prisoner's island because this move unintentionally made draft pick that, except that innocent low level players and ranked breakers are getting sucked into this toxic environment, and there's no public service announcement saying "hey, you're now playing with the worst league has to offer, good luck champ!"

Riot, I know you mean well, and you've got all these ideas, but John Romero had a ton of ideas too, but look how well Daikatana turned out. Don't turn League into another Icarus Flight. Sometimes you've got to sacrifice awesome ideas for practicality.

I touched this subject a while ago and people just disregarded it.

Riot seems so freaking afraid of the prisoner island's idea, what's funny is that they ended up doing it, but in the wrong way, pushing toxic players into a perfectly fine queue who now have to deal with them.

I disagree. I don't think people should be banned at all. They pay money and they can just make another account and continue trolling.

Instead don't tell them anything just put them in a new secret MMR division called bronze 6 or wood tier 5 whatever. All the toxic @%&@s can be together in peace.

Draft normals are just as toxic as they've always been, you're just looking at it through rose tinted lenses now that you've got an excuse to claim you've seen a difference.

You know the reason that Riot will never truly remove these people right? The reason they only move them or give them way too may second chances? Its simple, They are a source of income. Lets say roughly 1/5th of the community if just down right toxic players (as an example) and each puts around so and so amount of money (give or take at around $10-$15 into league a month). Now how many people play league again? more than a million at least. Think about how much money they lose in the aspect of banning such a large amount of people. No mater how you look at it, That is a large sum of money just down the drain to them and that is the main reason issue like this are never going to go away. Maybe riot views community arguments as an easier thing to deal with than pay cuts to their company.

( Riot isn't some evil company, They are just businessmen looking for profit)

I don't think you should have to WIN the draft matches.

I got banned from ranked because of verbal abuse, now i'm treating my team like gods in draft and losing isn't my fault yet I still have to pay for it by that match not helping towards my punishment at all...

Honestly, if they got rid of the hate breeding tribunal system, this game would be amazing. Instead of riot doing their job, they let "players" take the hate and the blame and we attack each other instead. Try telling me people who get banned don't go on the tribunal and just punish everyone for revenge? The % numbers people on here and riot spit out are a joke, hell sometimes I have to report people just out of defense, they openly laugh in the chat about reporting everyone every game that even farts sideways. It's a flawed, terrible system that no other game uses for a reason, and is the sole reason this game has the worst community on record.

the restrict system is killing the game .. im playing this game since beta but now.. i will get restricted Ban each week.. i dunno why .. no one answering me.. but i hope they remove this system or doing something its really worse and i will leave this game soon..if this type of bans keeps going on... u know u will get banned or restricted and u dont know why !!

where do you want them, normal blind? i'm pretty sure no one wants them in the biggest mode in the game. aram? that's a joke, only a moron would flame in aram so there's no chance to catch repeat offenders. 3v3? dominion? maybe, but that's just gonna make them make smurfs or stop playing altogether bots? that'll scare away new players

and actual bans from the game in its entirety will once again encourage smurfs, which will only scare away new players

I think most of the problem is the requirement to WIN in draft instead of just playing some games there. It creates a tense and frustrating atmosphere and thus makes players rage at mistakes more. Having such a results oriented mindset is the opposite of what is needed for rehabilitation. After all, most people rage because they take the game and their results too seriously.

Seriously I went to Draft because I enjoy the idea of practicing and replicating on the fly team construction. Now I just get people who don't care even more. They just say "don't worry its normals and I'm banned from ranked so enjoy." then they mute. Send them to Blind Pick the literal most "Fun" mode LoL has. At least there the idea of random teams and random player experience is expected. My entertainment and competitive nature is being undermined by others poor decisions and lack of similar game play philosophy due to their bans. Just ban bad players, don't feel so sentimental about your player base. Make it serious and make examples.

That's what they used to do. The result was toxic players making new accounts and wrecking the new player experience.

look my problem is i have flamed alot a time ago but i stoped with it if i now wanne try to help people maybe it looks like flaming but i didn't meant to but if i do then i get a ban instead its just not fair i can't get away of the ranked ban if 2 people report me i need to play 35 draft games its just to hard i getting tiered of it how can i get that away just mute everyone and say nothing or starting over i don't wanne leave my acc with 60 skins?? just help me guys plz this is my 4the ban what must i do ;////

Well make sure you are reporting them. Hopefully they'll get banned and won't be able to play in any game mode.

I did stop playing normal draft after they started sending the baddies there tho. Ruins everything lol

Honestly, there is a magic mutton button. I don't usually mind trolls/flamers in normals as I don't play to win, and communication isn't important, so you might was well mute and ignore any trolls you run into. However, I do understand where you're coming from, and the situation's tough, but there isn't really a great way around it.
