Today I went afk from a ranked game for the first time ever.

After 2.5 years of playing League. My jungler, my own teammate harassed me in the chat because I wasn't doing very good in lane. Note that he ganked top twice and died. He spammed the chat, I muted him after a while, then started spamming pings. Tilted me so much I would rather go afk and face the consequences rather than keep playing with him. And so I did. This is our community. Instead of helping the teammate get back into the game, we prefer to harass him because we think this will feed our ego and make us feel good about ourselves, or that this kind of "negative reinforcement" will magically make him start winning. Sometimes, I'm not having the best day/game, which makes my tolerance for this behavior minimum. I know what I did is wrong and that I ruined the game for the rest of the players, and I welcome the punishment, but I did it because if I stayed I believe it would ruin my day. And a game should not do that.
