Hi there!

Ok, so the purpose of this forum is exactly what the title describes, to help people set up their best line up possible heading into the next week of games. We've all experienced a moment where we are choosing between two players, not sure which one will have the better turn-out with regards to their current match-ups, their record, if their on a losing streak, new subs of the team, etc. This can now become a place where the fantasy community can help each other out with their rosters so that they are receiving their full potential each and every week. This can also be a place to discuss possible Add/Drop possibilities. Anyway, everyone can understand the purpose behind this forum now.

Just simply post a question about who you are deciding between, along with your reasonings behind why you should and shouldn't start them. Then hopefully a fellow fantasy community member will be able to respond and help you make your decision. Anyone can help out! Multiple opinions and beliefs are better than just one! Remember, Strength in numbers.

Week 2 Analysis

SO!

Week two is in the books, and everyone is starting to get a pretty good picture as to which teams are Da Bomb.Com. Like I said before, the first three weeks of the split are the most important as a fantasy owner.

Also! Ive updated the chart in respect of heading into week 3!

So with that being said, lets get into it, shall we?

A couple of points:

  1. This really shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone, but TSM and FNC both have very promising week 3 schedules. TSM recovered from their slip-up in week 1, and FNC has looked very solid over the past two weeks. However, both of their week 3 schedules are very light and action packed, they should both be putting up some major points this week in particular.

  2. Week 1, Elements raised a lot more questions rather than answers. They had one very explosive game and looked like they were going to pull a FNC from the Spring Split, but then their 2nd game went south to say the least. No one knew for sure which EL team was going to show up for week 2, so they were a team to watch out for. However, (SPOILERS), they went 0-2 last week and really looked uncoordinated. We got to remember that they are a brand new team and will need some time to adjust and get used to one another. This will be a very key week for elements in fantasy. Due to the nature of their opponents, (FNC and CW), EL should be able to score some points this week due to their aggressive nature, but I worry about the EL getting stomped here. Moral of the story: Be cautious about starting an EL player until we start seeing further improvement.

  3. Oh no C9. Oh nonononononono... It really is saddening to watch what was once such a dominant team in the NA region hurting this badly. It is no mystery as to how I feel about starting C9 players, but this split thus far in particular is raising a big red flag. Week 2 made something very clear to us about C9 as a team, That Hai's Shot calling was incredible. Think back to all of the previous splits, When C9 had a lead, they kept that lead. Their objective control was incredible, and they always got the better end of a trade. Since Hai has left, C9 look really dis-oriented. Not only are they not team-fighting and getting fantasy points, they are also losing that objective dominance that C9 is known for. In this previous TIP game, C9 had a lead but failed to keep it, which is extremely uncharacteristic of them. C9 is in trouble, and should not be making any appearances on your roster until we see them swing back in action.

  4. Lets talk about CLG for a sec. Before I do that, Let me say that below is a VERY ABBREVIATED SUMMARY of what I want to tell you guys. If you want to hear my full reasoning behind it, (Because there is a lot of analysis behind this), I HIGHLY recommend you tune in tomorrow to my fantasy show, where Im going to go very in depth about CLG. (See more details about it below!) But basically in a nutshell, Dont be shocked as to when CLG's numbers start to fall from here on out. Im not going to say its gonna be drastic, but I think that this recent loss to TSM is going to get inside the heads of CLG, more than a lot of people realize. I think that they will be a solid team, but they will start to lose their explosive side to them.

SO! Who are my biggest sleepers heading into week 2?

  1. CW. YES. THEIR WEEK 2 SUCKED. OH GOD DID IT SUCK. However! Thats behind us now. And its week three, where they are facing a really sad GMB and a uncoordinated EL. And as we all know by now, CW explodes when facing these weaker teams. Literally thats all there is to it. Expect them to go off this week, Especially freeze and Soren in particular.

  2. GV. Gravity looked good this past week. Like REALLY good. Both of their games were very clean and VERY decisive. Move really stepped up his game from week 1. Move made some very questionable decisions week 1, but he looked incredible week 2, and it really allowed GV to shine. The fact that they were able to have two clean victories, back to back is very promising, and they are looking like a top tier team heading into week 3. Their schedule is not necessarily the easiest, but if they continue to play like they did in week 2, they should have zero problem coming out with another 2-0 this week.

  3. Giants!...Again!. Guys. Giants is 3-1. Not to mention that each of their players are in the top 4 of their respected positions in Fantasy scoring. Let that sink in for a moment. They have had two very explosive weeks back to back, and now are facing a ROC team who cant finish and a aggressive FNC team. I dont think they will win against FNC so to speak, but Giants is a team that can score a lot of points even in a loss. Giants has my blessing!

What I need help with:

I'm looking to replace someone in the free agency with Impact. He's a great top laner, but I feel like there are better players in the market at the moment. Is this a good move? If so, who should I replace him with?

Froggen is definitely going to be cut from the team. I'm considering taking PepiiNeRO, Ryu, or Soren. Who should I pick up?

Should I start both YellOwStaR and mithy, or just one of them? If I should just start one of them, who should go in the support position, and who should go in the flex position?

Xmithie did well in week 1, but kind of dropped off in week 2. Should I replace him? If so, who should it be?

Adryh is looking very tempting right now, but I'm kind of scared about the FNC matchup. Should I still pick him up? If so, who should I drop?

Also, should I consider picking up any of the DIG members? They just went 2-0 last week and seem to be playing quite well.


Any and all help is greatly appreciated. Thank you for taking the time to read this.

Jungle: Swap Xmithie for move. Personally, I think CLG is gonna start falling off, (Reasoning will be made during my show tomorrow. Theres just soo much to it). And Move looked really good once he started making good decisions. Amazing how that works right? I think he's gonna grow so much this split.

Mid: Pepiinero (See Reasoning above in sleeper pick section)

Flex: Move Mithy to Support and Put in Hjarnan. OG is the best Fantasy team at the moment, because not only are they 4-0, but they are doing it with getting their hands bloody. They are the Powerhouses in fantasy at the moment, and Mithy is turning into one hell of a support. He has had two high back to back weeks, and deserves to be your main support.

And its always best to run an adc/mid in the flex position. And hjarnan, while he had a slow couple of games, went off this past week. Let him do some work for you on your roster this week! :D

Those are some disgustingly strong teams. Then again, I play in 8 mans, so... Also, Adryh is worth taking a look at right now, but since you already have 2 solid adcs, idk if its worth picking up for him. Giants looks pretty good now, but they can still fall while TSM and H2K are at least somewhat proven. Btw, you should drop Xmithie for Move, Loulex or Fr3deric. They're all better junglers imo and I think CLG is gonna fall into the middle of the pack pretty soon

I would start Bunny Fufuu over Adrian, and Hauntzer over Odoamne. Gravity looks really strong after getting many points against C9 and Team Liquid, both of whom are tough opponents to get points against.

Dude. I'm so frickin hyped for this new system you're doing. I've got finals this week, so I'm super glad I can follow your advice and just get it all out of the way. I'm pretty confident going into this week (one could see why in the picture). Once again, Nural, you do such an amazing job with what you do.

Though I'm currently 0-2 in my fantasy, I'm learning so much all thanks to you. I made some trades (Doublelift in exchange for Febiven, Huni + IWD in exchange for Santorin) that I'm quite sure went into my favor (I have Soaz also, so I'm giving away the worse top laner of the two). Hopefully I go 8-2 and win fantasy, but who knows. All I know is that I'm learning a lot thanks to you and I really really appreciate it! I'm looking forward to listening to your series!!!

Dude, I have zero clue as to how you are 0-2. You're roster looks strong as hell. (Hell, better than mine haha).

The only thing I would consider changing is putting in pepi for your flex over altec. I've been going back and forth between the two of them for like 10 minutes now, but my gut is telling me to stick to my guns and put in the Giants mid here. Pepi is the main carry on Giants, and they are facing an aggesive FNC and a questionable ROC. I think altec will do great, but I think pepi has the chance to do better. They both are even statistically and are on strong teams at the moment, you really cant go wrong either way here. But im gonna tip my hat in favor of the Giant of a midlaner. (See what I did there? XD)

Yeah... Im just a really big fan of Bunny Fufu I guess haha. I fixed the chart now!

My opponents just get 300+ points on me...pretty sure with my new and improved roster, I'll bulldoze. Here's my Week 3 Matchup. Do you think it's worth taking the risk of starting Pepii?

Seeing your matchup now, I think its definetly worth running Pepi here in the flex. Across the board, your players are stronger than his (In my opinion), but I could see adryh exploding and causing some panic. Putting in Pepi pretty much nullifies the chances of Giants screwing you over here, because you both are going to be running one of the Giants carries in your flex. Generally, when a team does well, the players on that team pretty much average the same amount of points, so this nullifies the flex match-up for you here. (Which is beneficial to you, because you have the stronger players!)

I think both trades would be beneficial at this point.

I think that Giants at the moment are doing really well in fantasy and you should cash in on it while they are still going strong. I dont think people are going to pick up forgiven with how poorly GMB are doing at the moment, But be prepared to pick him back up straight away in the off chance GMB does do well this week. (they have a fairly easy week ahead of them. If they dont do well here, it spells doom for them).

I think that You should put in Adrhy over Apollo. While TIP is normally an aggressive team, they've been very quiet and slow in the early game these past two weeks. (Or at least last week). And it shows in the points. But what is really intresting about Giants players is that they don't necessarily need to go 2-0 to get points. Week 1 they went 1-1 and Adrhy was still able to get 55 points! Giants get points even in losses. So Adrhy should definietly be put in!

I'll even go to say the same thing about GV and altec. GV just look strong and I really don't see them rolling over and dying to any team. I think Altec is the safer choice over Piglet. (Never thought I'd be saying that haha).

Changes I made after week 2: Dropped Incarnation and picked up Adryh Dropped Cabochard and picked up Hauntzer Dropped Fenix and picked up Keane

My Team: Top: Quas Jung: Santorin Mid: Bjergsen ADC: Doublelift Sup: Mithy Flex: Adryh Team: Team Liquid Bench: Hauntzer, Keane, IWDominate

Opposing Team: Top: Soaz Jung: Dexter (Note: Move, Frederick and Airwalks are available so he might pick one of those up.) Mid: Xaioweixaio ADC: Rekkles Sup: Yellowstar Flex: Pepiinero Team: Unicorns of Love (Note: CLG, Dignitas and Gravity are available for teams so he might pick one of those up.)

I believe that with that with lineup I have an advantage in three positions (Jungle, Mid, and Team), am even in three positions (Top, Support and Flex), and at a disadvantage only at one position (ADC).

The crucial decision in my mind is who is going to win the CLG vs Gravity game. I am leaning towards CLG which is why I am starting Doublelift. The other option is to move Adryh to ADC and Keane to flex (though I feel this is a riskier lineup.)

Top lane for me is a no contest between Quas and Hauntzer. TL has an easy week 3 and even though TL went 1-1 in week 2 Quas only had 5 points less than Hauntzer.

Jungle is a tough decision for me. Santorin is extremely consistent but IWDominate has the potential to get more points than Santorin, especially in an easy week 3. However, TSM is extremely hot right now and I feel like Santorin is a guaranteed 40+ points this week.

Hey!

So actually im going to slightly disagree with you about the top lane. TL's schedule these past two weeks were very light, and the games they won were against weaker teams. The only game they lost though was against GV none-the-less. GV, on the other hand, had a really hard week 2 going up against C9 and TL. C9 games usually never gat any points... like ever. And the TL game was gonna be a good one because TL was look hot coming into it. However, GV was able to cleanly win that game and score aprox. 40 points last week when they in reality should have scored more like 20-30. That speaks wonders in my opinion.

Now this week, TL is facing the "I don't want to have fun" C9 and TIP; two very hard teams to play against in fantasy. I know the records make them seem week, but C9 is a team you want to avoid at all costs when setting up your fantasy. So with that in mind, that is the reason why Im tipping my hat to hauntzer this week!

Otherwise I actually ok with you starting D-Lift. Even though I think CLG as a whole is gonna falter, its gonna be a slow one at that, and CLG loves to prioritize the bot lane. So I still think D-Lift is gonna so a-ok in fantasy this week.

This is the way I look at the matchup:

Adryh cancels Pepiinero (same team and similar points in Week 1 & 2) Mithy cancels Soaz (same team and similar points in Week 1 & 2) Bjergsen cancels Rekkles (both carries for the dominant team in their region)

Santorin beats Xaioweixaio (more points per game on average and an easier week 3) Doublelift beats Yellowstar (equal points when he does poor, way more points when he does well) Quas or Hauntzer beats Dexter (dominates him in points) Team Liquid beats UOL (more points per game on average and an easier week 3)

So in theory I should cancel out all his big point makers and still have four spots that should have a point advantage. Essentially I feel like I have more depth than him.

The problem I have with Quas is that if TL does mediocre then 2 of my slots will be mediocre.

The problem I have with Hauntzer is that since I also have Doublelift I'm guaranteed only one will have the potential to have a huge week (since GV plays CLG.) Yes I hedge my bets with Hauntzer but I also could possibly shoot myself in the foot with him.

Soaz, Pobelter, Pepi, or Altec for flex?

I'm reluctant to start a CLG because of the TSM matchup even though Pobelter has high stats and has been delivering. Soaz has been an absolute beast in points but he's a top laner and you can't depend on that every week, or can you..? Pepi is an awesome choice but i'd have to get rid of Pobelter and pick up the (yes, kind of crazy) open pepi. Altec seems good, but it's hard to tell how good with this new looking Gravity, and even so, Keane gets all the fantasy points from the team sometimes.

Flex: Go with Altec. Actually, based on the statistics, Altec is the main carry in fantasy for GV. Which is a good thing for you!! GV is looking really strong at the moment, and I think GV will be able to stand toe-to-toe and win against CLG. Think Altec is the best way to go here, at least in your case, thinking long term!

I need some advice on a few things. Between Odoamne/Hauntzer/Steve, which of them to keep? My team is like this: Top: Odoamne(Hauntzer for this week?) Jungler: Reignover Mid: Soren Adc: Piglet( Adryh?) Support: Yellowstar Flex : Pepiinero Team: Fnatic

Reserves: Adryh, Rush, Odoamne/Hauntzer/Steve(still available)

I like hauntzer for this week! I mean, overall, I like GV as a whole. They are looking incredibly strong, and they are going to be a top competitor this split. (As you probably read in the sleeper section above!) I think Hauntzer is the way to go.

For your mid, heading into week 3, I don't mind it at all. However, Looking at things in a long term perspective, I agree in that you need a more consistent mid laner. Who do you have available to you?

And I think you should switch Piglet with Adrhy as well. Not only for the reasons I mentioned above in the sleeper section, but TL is going up a very hard week in fantasy going against C9 and TIP. Think TL is gonna hit a bit of a slump this week. This will be a true test for TL.

I Think NukeDuck is a good mid here. ROC right now,despite their record, is doing alright for themselves. They arent doing great, but they arent doing bad either. And nukeduck is on the upper end of midlaners in fantasy right now at the moment. So I highly recomment you Swap soren for nukeduck once week 3 is over!.

Soren is good, you'll probably be all right with him. He just had a bad week last week.

Definitely don't start Steve this week. Roccat plays Giants and OG, and is gonna get destroyed. Hauntzer/Odoamne is a toss up. They're both decent, on decent teams, with decently difficult matchups this week. Whoever you like better.

Also, I would recommend starting Adryh at Flex over Pepiinero. Pep had a huge week last week, but is too inconsistent. Adryh is one of the highest scorers of the split, and you should look to capitalize on that.

Well, Truly, either choice will be good, since they are both coming from the same team. Usually, players on the same team roughly get similar amount of points to one another. But im gonna stick to my guns here and say, KEANE. GV as a whole will do well, and kaene will be at the fore front of all of it. Truly, I think its not gonna matter all that much on which one you are starting, since they are both from the same team. But mid's usually tend to get more points consistently!

Opinions on Rush vs Move and CLG vs Gravity

Rush vs Move: I like move here!. I mentioned in my show earlier this week that rush has been very lacking in the early game presence, and its slowed down TIP's aggression in the early game. Not to mention that TIP's chaotic nature, while it may deliever some insane point weeks, isnt the most consistent. And unfortunaly for rush, these past couple of weeks have been very underwhelming for him. GV is looking like one of the strongest teams in NA after their performance after week 2, and a lot of that was contributed to Move. He had so much presence on the map. He was always on the MOVE. (Ha ha. See what I did there?...)

So with that being said. I think putting in move will be a really good MOVE on your end. (I couldn't help myself.)

And I think GV is gonna beat CLG. For all the reasons I have listed and posted above in the sleeper section!

Its only a league of 4 so there are quite a few players still available. Any suggestions as to who to play/who to bench, or who I should be looking to pick up (regardless of if they are available or not) would be great. I have also heard a lot about CLG possibly having a worse score this week and was wondering if I should be switching my team. I also see that some supports have better scores than Hylissang so I'm curious as to whether or not there is a better choice. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks.

First and foremost, welcome to the community and the glorious thing that we know as fantasy LCS :D

So the three red flags, in particular for me, is your ADC, Supp, and team. With the notion of you being in a 4 man, I think there are some more explosive options available to you at the moment. Not gonna lie, your opponent's roster is stacked. Literaly, has ALL OF OG. In a way, that is somewhat beneficial to you, because all it takes is for OG to have one bad game and you pretty much win your match-up. But the issue is that OG right now are the kings of fantasy. So we gotta take some risks here!

Hi, thanks for the answer. I have already picked up Altec as I just noticed he was available and based off the chart above it seemed like a good plan. Here are what is still available ADC: Freeze, Sneaky, Otter, Tabzz, Forg1ven, CandyPanda, Woolite, Vardags, Corejj, Nien, Adryh (I dropped him for Altec but am wondering if he should be switched for Piglet..?), Emperor

Supp: Adrian, Unlimited, Xpecial, Gosu Pepper, Nrated, Dodo8, Vander, Lemonnation, Promisq, Bodydrop, Godfried, Smoothie, Kiwikid

Teams: Team Impulse, H2K, SK Gaming, Team Liquid, Cloud9, Copenhagen Wolves, Roccat, Elements, Enemy Esports, Gravity, Team Dignitas, Unicorns of Love, Team Dragon Nights, Team 8, Giants Gaming

I just listed them all off there. I agree that with my opponent having literally all of OG (slapped my friend for trading him people so that could be done), I need to take some risks and put my faith in possibly explosive options rather than safe bets.

Considering you're opponent this week, I think the better way to go about this is to put in freeze over piglet this week. You're in a 4-man, so I think you could get away with having piglet be a free agent. Expecially since you've got altec there as a consistent form of points. Freeze is primed to go off this week (See sleeper picks section for reasoning).

Supp: Put in Godfred. I know i've been talking up giants, particularly Adrhy and Pepi in particular, but Godfred I think is extremely underrated in my opinion. During one of Giants games last week, Godfred was on Morgana, and I believe he hit every single one of his bindings he threw out there. He really shined last week, and it also showed in his fantasy points. And due to your opponent, you need all of explosive power you can get. And I think Godfred and Giants have all the gunpowder you'll need to succeed.

Team: CW. Once again, same reasoning as before. CW has one of the easiest weeks heading into week 3. There is a very strong chance they will 2-0 this week!

Thanks so much! I checked the line up for games and I completely agree that CW has an easy week ahead of them. Your help was really appreciated as I am new to all of this and don't know the previous ways teams have evolved in different match ups in the past. And you are completely correct that I should be safe with Piglet being a free agent as the others in the league already have strong adcs. Thanks again :D

That game was ridiculous. In the words of Prof McWonderful, (One of my moderators),

"Its definetly one of the top worst three games Ive watched." "I regret watching it" "Is there a way both teams can be given the loss?"

No one expected that game to go that way :/

But they still got another game to go, hopefully they can recover.
