Please balance NA vs EU scoring

Riot,

Can you adjust Fantasy LCS scoring to account for the devaluing of EU players due to the new EU format? Since EU players sometimes only play once a week, their value is way lower than NA players. When we draft a high-tier EU player, we must also plan to draft a lower-tier NA player to substitute when the EU player only has one match. Accordingly, it doesn't make sense for us to pick up EU players until late in the draft. Yesterday, Perkz was still available during the fifth round of a 6-man league. Perkz! In the fifth round! S-tier EU players are being treated as B-tier.

This may add complexity to drafting, but it also makes Fantasy LCS a shallower experience by limiting pick options and strategies. We must now use our Alternative slots to hold NA subs for every EU player we drafted, instead of using those slots for sleeper picks (or for any other strategy).

Last year, you balanced the NA (bo3 format) and EU (2-game format) regions by saying only the first two NA games would count. Why didn't you balance the regions this year? A simple solution would be to use "average points" instead of "total points" in a given week. If Bjergsen got 100 points over 5 games in a week, he actually gets 20 points. If Perkz got 40 points over 2 games in a week, he also gets 20 points. This would avoid the mess of who-played-more-games and would result in both regions being treated equally.

I agree. I want my substitution decisions to be based on which player I think will perform better on any given week, not simply on which player is from EU and has only one game to play. As it is, I have to either not pick EU players, or throw away strategic substitutions.

The current format reduces strategic diversity (yeah buzzwords!).

I completely agree, there should be some form of compensation points wise to make up for the EU plays who only play once a week. Maybe doubling their scores when they only play once? idk

"This adds a new level of complexity to managing your roster each week as you will need to add free agents and lean on your bench to make sure you get the most points possible."

They think they're ADDING a new layer of complexity for your benefit, not restricting your draft. Trump?
Rito pls.

Drafting does feel very weird now, with people avoiding great EU players in favour of worse NA players so they don't have to waste an Alternate slot on a must-have substitution. That's what this new format is doing: forcing people to pick a sub along with every EU player they pick up.

Using a points-per-game scoring system instead of a total-points system would solve this.

Realistically if bench space was larger than this would be a non-issue, but the reason bench space is limited is because a run of adc drafts could leave none on the table for some poor chap so he is missing a position.

The only way to get around this fact is to pick the best game scoring game type. Too bad the don't allow for you to change after you started you league...

You're right. But it is too late to fix it now. Most people's drafts were made considering EU players are less valuable. One person in my League only drafted the best EU players. If they changed the scoring at this point, those who drafted poorly by picking up mostly EU players would be rewarded.

It's my first time at Fantasy LCS so i don't know everything and because of the scoring i lost all the games i picked the best EU players but i lost for the 4th week and i'm not going to win any game

If anything, I find it silly that Bjergsen, the second best mid-laner in the world, supposedly has worse points (predicted) than Ninja, Hai, Ryu, etc.

Rito,

The great and all powerful Rito. As you know you have a lot of fans. But you also have a lot of fans that like playing your fantasy league. With that being said. Some of us don't play LOL anymore, as we have lives to live. Some of us only get to hang out and talk to our friends over chat systems. My group of friends and I play fantasy Every year. We get on and watch the match's. We discuss them and we talk about our fantasy League. The topic this year is how it feels so unbalanced. Because of the EU changes which is out of your control. But you can find a way to fix this. If you could many of your fans. Would really appreciate it. If not well, I know you don't make any money with your fantasy system. But you do off your fans. To a lot of fans it seems like you just don't care about it anymore. Or us for that matter.

Sincerely, Disgruntled Fan

I had it good, I was able to Draft Arrow and Smoothie in rounds 2 and 4. Which is a pretty good pair, scoring wise. Then I was able to pick up Zven and Mithy in rounds 3 and 6. Meaning when G2 Does play 2 matches in a week, I have an elite S teir bot lane, and on the weeks they have only one match, I have a very suitable replacement for them. Very excited about this league. I highly suggest on investing an 3rd or 4th round pick into a top teir EU player for this reason, Leave your top 2 picks for the Consistent good NA players though.

Average points per game is not a solution for week 10. NA only plays 9 weeks.

Better learn to juggle.
