Hi there!

Ok, so the purpose of this forum is exactly what the title describes, to help people set up their best line up possible heading into the next week of games. We've all experienced a moment where we are choosing between two players, not sure which one will have the better turn-out with regards to their current match-ups, their record, if their on a losing streak, new subs of the team, etc. This can now become a place where the fantasy community can help each other out with their rosters so that they are receiving their full potential each and every week. This can also be a place to discuss possible Add/Drop possibilities. Anyway, everyone can understand the purpose behind this forum now.

Just simply post a question about who you are deciding between, along with your reasonings behind why you should and shouldn't start them. Then hopefully a fellow fantasy community member will be able to respond and help you make your decision. Anyone can help out! Multiple opinions and beliefs are better than just one! Remember, Strength in numbers.

OK. So I know I posted a week 5 thread earlier this past weekend. I did that because I was supposed to be traveling and etc. BUT I MISSED MY FLIGHT SO NONE OF THAT MATTERS ANYMORE LOL.

So this is gonna be the actual week 5 forum.

So lets get into it, shall we?

Week 4 Analysis

A couple of things.

  1. It feels like I always have something to say about CLG. Last week I was praising them for having an easy week. Hell, doublelift injured his hand and THIS WAS THE WEEK HE GOT THE PENTA? Rito Pls. Well. This week is the opposite. They face TL and TSM. Aphromoo even said it himself, "This next week will be like our super week." Its gonna be a true test of CLG's might. TSM is the only team thus far to have beaten them. And while TL kinda dropped the ball this past week in their game with DIG, (They just didn't end correctly. And were punished... It was an awesome game), TL is still a top tier team. CLG has looked hot this split, so this will be truly a test of their capabilities. Im not saying that you shouldnt start your CLG players, but I highly recommend those who are "All in on CLG" to bench a couple of them and play it safer this week.

If things go south for CLG this week, dont be surprised to see the fall off in the following weeks. This may just be the week where CLG's honeymoon phase comes to an end.

  1. Im gonna talk about NME right now. So NME's split is not looking as good they hoped it would be. Granted, 3-5 isnt the worst place to be in the standings. But I will say this about them. They are scoring well in fantasy despite these 0-2, and 1-1 weeks. In fantasy, the magic number we look at to say a player did well in fantasy a given week is 40 pts. If all of your players got 40 points exactly, were looking at 280 point week, which is a pretty good week. And NME have been floating around this mark 3 out of their 4 weeks. The fact that they are meeting this milestone each week while going 1-1 is very telling. Everyone is still waiting for NME's break out moment this split, and when they do, they will be HUGE.

They face T8 and DIG. While I think the DIG game will be hard, they have proven they can still get points in losses. Not to mention they face T8. (I don't have to say more than that right?) I consider them to be safe picks. Not sleepers necessarily, just safe solid picks.

SO! Who are my biggest sleepers heading into week 4? (Warning: WALL OF TEXT INCOMING)

  1. DIG. I was very, very skeptical of DIG coming into this split. Last split they were fighting to not be relegated, so needless to say one should be skeptical. However, all of my worries regarding DIG have all but subsided after their performance in week 4. They are 6-2, and thats not just by random luck and coincidence. While their early game needs some work, they somehow find a way to come back into it mid game and win the late. Don't believe me? Watch the TL vs. DIG game yesterday. (No seriously, watch it if you haven't. Its one of the better games this split.) They are looking hot, and now they are facing the two newcomers to the NA LCS (NME and TDK). While I did just praise NME int he paragraph above, I do think its gonna be a bloody game; a game in which DIG will win however. And TDK is just being punching bag TDK. DIG are primed to be huge this split. NOT TO MENTION GAMSU PLAYED LIKE A GOD THIS PAST WEEKEND. He was THIS close to having 100% kill participation over the course of the weekend. He came up big, Highly recommend you pick him up!

  2. UOL...Again. So UOL played pretty well this past week, and once again they have an easier week in facing GIANTS and ROC. ROC probably had the easiest week last week, but the addition of Mr. Rallez probably led to a complete synergy break down in their squad. And GIANTS are becoming a shadow of their former selves. They really hit the brakes and lost all of their momentum. UOL had a very good week last week with a 1-1 record, and they have a great chance at the 2-0 this week going up against these struggling teams.

  3. EL. THIS ONE IS BALSY. IF YOU REALLY WANT TO LIVE ON THE EDGE THIS WEEK, EL IS YOUR TEAM. Out of all my sleepers this week, this is my least favorite. I almost didnt throw them in here due to their inconsistency... But their match-ups this week cant be ignored. They go up against SK and GIANTS. Giants is the the same reasoning as above. SK, while they did go 2-0, Im not sold on them just quite yet. They did score well, but that was on a 2-0 week, which we expect. However, Froggen and Jwaow scored 50 and 43 points this past week respectfully in going 1-1. SK showed signs of life, and I expect that to be a sloppier game due to how low these teams are in the standings.

Yoohoo all! My opponent this week has the strongest team... Huni, Xmithie, Bjergsen, Hjarnan, Lustboy, Quas, DIG I have higher estimated points this week, but I don't think they've been updated. I am wondering: Should I start Soaz or Flaresz (Gamsu is also open, I could drop Flaresz) Amazing in the jungle, only available decent ones are Kikis, IWD, and Trashy **Febiven **mid. **Rekkles **at ADC. MITHY OR KASING I CANNOT DECIDE **Otter **or **xpeke **flexed? this depends on who I start top. **TIP **as the team. Could pick up TL or NME

I would pick up Gamsu, Dig has a very easy schedule (TDK and NME who I am projecting them to beat) this week. I also have Mithy and Kasing, and I am starting Mithy because H2K has a harder schedule than OG this week because they are going against FNC.

I know OG-FNC didn't end up being this way, but I think the H2k-FNC game will result in good fantasy points for both teams. I don't want to lose faith in OG, but let's be honest, they got steamrolled by FNC. Idk if that just showed the power of FNC or if OG is slipping (ROC loss too)... I was leaning toward Kasing this week, but I'm still not decided. I think Gamsu is a good idea this week though (inb4 NME wrecks them, with my luck)

Those are all good, valid points. I just remember putting in Mithy in when they faced FNC (because I wasn't paying enough attention to the scheduling) and I regretted it. I don't think OG are slipping and I think they will do well against Gambit and SK. Gambit is looking better but I thnk OG will take them. I actually considered putting in Kiwikid but Mithy and Kasing are such a good duo to switch in and out in my opinion. I usually look at who has the easier schedule, unless the particular player (like all of FNC) is constant no matter the team they are playing.

Just FYI, OG plays GMB and CW this week. I expect the CW game to be bloody actually, but for some reason I see the GMB game being pretty much a slaughter.. but it's freaking EU LCS, what's the point in trying to predict xD I think I'll go with Mithy this week because I have Amazing. If OG loses, I'll lose this week. But if they go 2-0, I should be able to take it. I gotta take the risk hehe

In regards to the OG vs FNC game, in all honesty, I expected OG to lose that one. FNC is a hard team to beat. Now granted, OG in their losses do usually get steamrolled, but that is because they continue to choose to fight even when they are behind. And while I admire the "Never say die" strategy, its usually hard to win team fights when behind. (Or at least thats what its like for me in soloQ...) Not to mention, they came back and steamrolled EL.

So I, for one, am still a big believer in OG. They should 2-0 this week.

What about my flex? I think Xpeke is the lowest scorer on OG right? And like you said about NME they put up decent points. I'm leaning toward Otter. Or I could flex Gamsu and start Soaz, if you think that's smart.

Basically should I put Soaz top and flex gamsu/peke, or start gamsu top and flex otter/peke/innox?

I'd stick with OG this week. TL has another rough week ahead. So Soaz/Gamsu, Amazing, Mithy (H2K vs Fnatic so Mithy > Kasing), and xPeke. All 3 teams will score around 20 pts this week.

Hey Nural! Currently #1 and 4-0 in my league, and planning on keeping it that way :) My opponent this week isn't too much to worry about... Vizicsacsi, Rush, XWX, Apollo, Bunny Fufuu, Altec, GV.

My roster

Huni Reignover Febiven Niels YellowStar Hjarnan DIG

Bench: Gamsu, Ryu, H2K

Was just wondering if I should sub in **Gamsu **for either **Huni **or Hjarnan, as **Gamsu **has particularly easy (and bloody) matchups this week.

Should be an easy win either way. I'd replace Huni with Gamsu if anything.

I'd be perftectly fine with the Gamsu swap this week as well. You've already got three FNC players in your line-up, I think this would balance it out in case FNC drop one of these games. Plus, Gamsu is primed to have an explosive week after his god like performance last weekend!

Vardags for CoreJJ. I'd go with CoreJJ this week. 2nd choice personally would be Altec. I'd also consider dropping Im,pact and picking up Xmithie.

Altec is a GREAT pick-up. He has consistently been playing well. (40-50+ pt weeks). If anything, I'd drop Vardags for CoreJJ and Apollo for Altec Not to discredit those other players, but these Altec is too good to pass up if you've got the chance. And coreJJ because of DIG's recent success and easy week ahead of them.

And as for your line-up, GO ahead and place Altec in the ADC slot, and CoreJJ in the flex. TDK should be a stomp, and teams tend to score really well against NME's bot lane whenever NME loses. There are a lot of points to be had with CoreJJ this week.

I'd stick with your current roster or swap Huni with Gamsu.

I think youre roster is fine. Regarding your top lane, it depends on what your individual match-up with your opponent is like.

But in all honesty, You've already got coreJJ in there, no need to take out you're one lone FNC player. Huni still does very well! So I personally think your fine with huni, but if he's running DIG players this week, GO ahead and put in Gamsu to even you guys out.

So I was thinking if I need to change my current roster for this upcoming week especially with respect to top/jungle/flex/team. (FNC/OG heavy roster, while FNC is facing H2K, which might be their first loss this split)

As previously mentioned to others, expect Dig and its players to do very well this week.

There's really no reason to keep 2 teams especially in what looks like a 4man league unless everyone else is hoarding teams and trying to strangle the 4th player.

Drop Mithy and pick up Kiwi; more variety and and likely to score more. Drop CLG and pick up Gamsu. Start Gamsu over Huni.

Thanks for the advice. I dropped CLG for Gamsu. Wouldn't it be an option to sub DoubleLift (playing vs TSM and TL; pretty tough matchups), move Niels from flex to starting ADC, and Gamsu as flex? Or just stick to DoubleLift (with respect to his recent form even when suffering from his pinky injury) and sub Huni for Gamsu? Not sure though about Kiwi.

Im personally a BIG fan of Mithy. I think he's one of the better fantasy Supports and you shouldn't drop him because there's a high chance he could get picked up. Even in a 4 man.

What I would do is,

Top: Gamsu ADC: Niels Flex: Bjergsen

I Still like Bjergesn here, because He is the Carry on TSM. He is like the bet, if not already, mid laner in NA. He deserves to be put in! :D

Niels and Bjergsen tend to be big scorers even when they lose (iow - they get usually get kills regardless). I can understand the concern about Mithy and to be fair, I have no experience with 4-man leagues since I prefer the depth of 8-mans. However I would say the top 3 supports are Aphromoo, Kasing, and Yellowstar followed by Mithy and BunnyFuFu. So I don't see how big of a threat of someone else picking up Mithy assuming the other 3 players are starting the top 3. I do still feel Kiwi will score better than Mithy this week/is a safer option to have various teams in case OG has an off-game. Niels and Gamsu are definite starters this week. But otherwise, I do agree with Nural's advice.

So what you need to worry about is 1) OG throwing a game and 2) Fnatic losing to H2K. I'd consider Kiwikid this week and if you're afraid of Fnatic losing, start Niels and flex xPeke.

I agree with Solnaga about the two concerns, but we cant lose faith in the FNC hype train. Remember, they are the team to beat. Not to mention Rekkles has had very, very consistent weeks, not to mention two of them were explosive.

This being said, I'd say Put in Rekkles in the Flex over xPeke. Xpeke usually is the lowest scoring member on OG, where as Rekkles is most of the time the top scorer on FNC. Even if FNC drops to H2K, Rekkles should still do very very well.

And with this set up, you're pretty safe from being totally f**ked of either OG or FNC drops their games.

But Solnaga is right, OG does have the easier week, and if you feel like you want to bet youre money on them this week, go right ahead! My option is just one of the more safe options.

What I need help with:

Top: Is there anyone worth picking up in the top position in the free agency right now? And should I start SoaZ or Gamsu?

Jung: I'm pretty confident in Amazing and Move, but should I consider picking anyone up in the free agency? And who should I start in the Jung position?

Mid: Shiptur, Fox, and Froggen all scored pretty high numbers compared to Ryu in week 4. Should I consider picking one of them up? And if so, who should I start?

ADC: I'm confident in WildTurtle and Hjarnan, but Turtle is going up against CLG and Hjarnan is going up against FNC. Should I consider picking someone else up in case they do poorly?

Supp: Should I start YellOwStaR or Mithy?

Team: I'm pretty confident that OG will score huge points this week, but is there a better option than OG right now?

Top: Gamsu and SoaZ are solid choices right now. I would start Gamsu. OG always has a small risk of throwing a game in their do or die style whereas Dig seems pretty solid and Gamsu explodes in his 2-0 weeks.

Jung: I would start Amazing. Expect 40+ from Amazing and 20+/- 10 from Move.

Mid: Like Gamsu, Shiphtur should have another explosive week. In both 2-0 weeks, he scored over 60 point. I would not advise picking up Fox or Froggen. Pick up Shiphtur and drop Move.

ADC: Hjarnan ~30 if they lose to Fnatic ~50 if they win. Roughly the same with Turtle with CLG though with a lower ceiling for points. CoreJJ looking to have a 50+ week. If you're going to drop an ADC for CoreJJ I'd drop Turtle however TSM still seems a stronger team overall so I'd expect Turtle to score better overall for the rest of the league. Tough to say who to start.

Supp: Mithy has the easier week.

Team: Dig would be the next best option but keep starting OG.

I'd consider flexing your Top laner over your ADC and if you choose to pick up CoreJJ, I'd start him this week over HJarnan (and drop Turtle).

Not to mention that Turtle may not start this week. TSM are saying that They are trying out KEITH "THE GOD" MCBRIEF. So if you were gonna drop someone, drop the player who may not play haha.

My Team Top: Quas Jungle: Santorin Mid: Bjergsen ADC: Doublelift Sup: Mithy Flex: CoreJJ Team: H2K Bench: Gamsu, Shiphtur, IWDominate

Opposing Team Top: Odoamne Jungle: Rush Mid: Pobelter ADC: WildTurtle Sup: Kasing Flex: Piglet Team: Fnatic

Decisions I don't know whether to start Quas or Gamsu at Top. Gamsu looked amazing week 4 and Dignitas has a very easy week 5. However, Quas has been consistently getting more points than Piglet so if TL has a big week then I can shut down his flex by playing Quas.

For my flex I don't know whether to go Shiphtur or CoreJJ. Both seem like great choices, I'm just not sure which is the best choice for this week.

H2K has a really tough week ahead of them so I'm debating switching them out for a team with an easier schedule (Dignitas is available.) However, he has two H2K players on his team so if H2K beats Fnatic it might benefit me to have H2K as my team so I can get some points back.

Match Breakdown Santorin will get more points than Rush CoreJJ will get more points than Odoamne

Quas will get equal points to Piglet Bjergsen will get equal points to WildTurtle Doublelift will get equal points to Pobelter Mithy will get equal points to Kasing

H2K will get less points than Fnatic

There's a small chance Keith starts instead of WildTurtle. It just isn't confirmed. That being said, I like NME over GV this week. I would go Innox or otter, up to you, they score the same, but I would go with Innox because IMO shiphtur is weaker than CoreJJ/Kiwi duo. Hope it isn't too late.

I can't decide on who to start this week! Right now I can't figure out who to put in my flex position, but here is my entire roster: TOP: Huni JNG: Santorin MID: Xpeke ADC: Niels SUP: Kasing FLEX: Xmithie (unsure of) TEAM: Dignitas BENCH: Altec, Quas, Fox

My decision to put Xmithie in my flex position is the fact that, even being a jungler, he still has a higher points per game average than the other two. Also, CLG is playing TL and TSM this week, and I think both games will last very long. This would mean that Xmithie would rack up a lot of assists in both games. However, I'm torn between that decision and putting in Altec. GV is playing TIP and TL this week and even though its easier than CLG's week, I can see GV playing inconsistent against both of them. But, Altec and Bunny are the dominating factor on GV, so it is a hard decision. That's my opinion! Let me know what you think!!!
