Hi there!

Ok, so the purpose of this forum is exactly what the title describes, to help people set up their best line up possible heading into the next week of games. We've all experienced a moment where we are choosing between two players, not sure which one will have the better turn-out with regards to their current match-ups, their record, if their on a losing streak, new subs of the team, etc. This can now become a place where the fantasy community can help each other out with their rosters so that they are receiving their full potential each and every week. This can also be a place to discuss possible Add/Drop possibilities. Anyway, everyone can understand the purpose behind this forum now.

Just simply post a question about who you are deciding between, along with your reasonings behind why you should and shouldn't start them. Then hopefully a fellow fantasy community member will be able to respond and help you make your decision. Anyone can help out! Multiple opinions and beliefs are better than just one! Remember, Strength in numbers.

Week 7 Analysis

OH BABY WE'RE BACK! Yes, thats right. Its been about a week or so but I think everybody's ready to get back and wrap up this 2015 Spring Split. We've only got two weeks left, and this is where things start to get interesting (In respect to fantasy at least). So here are a couple of things...

By now, everyone should know where they individually stand in each of their respected leagues, and your decision making from here on out needs to be in respect to where you stand. If you're sitting comfortably at the top of your league, theres no need to play it risky anymore and just play it safe. However, if you're more near the bottom, If faced with a decision between two players, you gotta take the more risky option here. Playing it safe near the bottom at this time in the split is pointless. You gotta now take the risky decisions here to try and eek out these last two victories. (This also applies to the people in the middle of the pack as well). So for those who need some calculated risk choices, Below are my sleepers for this week.

SLEEPERS!!!

  1. TIP: ALL ABOOOOOOOOOOOOOARD THE TIP HYPE TRAIN. Im pretty sure you've heard me say this once or twice before, but now this time has a little more weight to it. TIP had an AMAZING showing week 7, (Apollo, Rush, and XIX in particular), in landing 50+ points. And that was including facing C9 as well!! TIP are now facing punching bag coast and WFX, both are teams that are just simply struggling. As I said earlier in the split, TIP had the components to being a top tier team this split, they just needed to get the communication and teamwork polished up thats all. And now I think that time as officially come. Expect them to be BIG powerhouses for points this week.

  2. ROC. Yes. You saw correctly. Now let me say something before I go any further, ROC is the riskier sleeper pick between the two, and if given the choice, you should choose a TIP player over a ROC player. Only pick a ROC player if you need to take a risk this week. Ok, now with those disclaimers out of the way, let me tell you why. ROC's week 7 looked daunting to say the least going up against UOL and SK (Given how they've been playing the past couple of weeks). However! They were all able to land 40+ points last week! Granted, they are up against FNC this week. But if they were able to take down SK, whats to say they cant take down FNC? Not to mention they are also up against Giants, (And a general theme with Giants games is that they do tend to be more bloodbathy). Not to mention ROC showed fantastic amounts of team work in week 7, (Which is something they've been struggling with for the last 3 weeks of the split). They have the potential to carry over their success in week 7 into week 8.

  3. GMB. This is not so much as a sleeper, but more of a reassurance. Week 7's hottest question was whether or not to start a H2K player or a GMB player. They both were on a winning streak, and H2K came out on top. However, that does not mean you need to jump off the GMB Hype train! Even in their loss to H2K, they were still able to come out with 30+ points in week 7! And now they are facing EL and MYM. There week, on paper, is fairly light, and they should have no issue in overcoming the EU punching bag MYM and the Roster Changing EL. Pinoy has been playing out of his mind, where he is consistently scoring roughly 40+ points for the past 4 weeks!. I love GMB this week.

Very important week this week. I am tied for first and I play** that guy**. Right now, I'm starting: Cabochard (Also, Odoamne is free agent) Diamond Febiven Cop Kasing Fox SK Bench: Santorin, Overpow, Freeze

He's starting: Huni Loulex Ryu Hjarnan Adrian Steeelback H2K Bench: Betsy, Yellowstar, TiP

The plan was to start Diamond and Kasing this week, but after seeing TSM at IEM I amVery tempted to start Santorin and Lustboy. I don't know what to do! I want to start kasing in case H2K has a phenomenal week and I can leech some points, but if they don't then support isn't that big of a deal. At the same time, if H2K has a great week, I don't know if there is much I can do to win. Cabochard vs Odoamne is another tossup. H2K may do better, but Cabo tends to get more points. Also, I'm not sure if I should start Fox or Fenix in Flex. I don't expect Cop to have the best week but there really aren't other viable choices for this matchup. Rekkles, Woolite, and CoreJJ are the next best choices... This week looks really intimidating for me and if I lose this the chances are I'll lose the League. And vice versa. Feel free to comment with any and all advice you have, I need it! Thanks guys.

We gotta take the risks here if we want to beat him. His line up is very strong heading into week 8. Jung: Go with Diamond. Both santorin and diamond have been pretty much equal in the fantasy scoring realm. However, Diamond has more potential than Santorin to get the big 50+ point week. (Week 5: Diamond got 70 points!!!). Plus GMB schedule is a lot easier than that of TSM. If there was a week to go in on GMB, its this one.

Supp: Stick with Kasing If H2K does do well this week, at least you'll be able to share in some of the points they bring in. If they dont, He's now down four players to your one. Not to mention Kasing does tend to score higher than that of lustboy. AND H2K's schedule is very light.

Other than that, I think you've got the best line-up possible my friend. Hope all goes well for you! GL GL GL!!

So I'm pretty limited in terms of top laners. I dropped Odoamne back in week 5 and I'm regretting it now... but anyways, I have Quas and fredy112 on my starting roster and on the bench respectively. Quas didn't look great last week, but fredy hasn't exactly been crazy amazing either. Overpow is open currently, as is most of the rest of ROC. Who do you think I should start/drop/change??

Dyrus Loulex Bjerg Altec (in ADC position. lol.) nRated Betsy SK

I know my roster looks stronger than his, but I'm currently undefeated and this guy is the one guy I don't want to give a win too. I'd never hear the end of it. he may switch in Woolite for Altec soon as well

Ill try my damnest to make sure you come out on top! I know how the grudge match feels haha.

Top: Put in overpow. Ok, so out of the three top laners you mentioned, they all have been performing pretty average as of late. So what Im looking at is the potential of the three of them. And Overpow potential is a lot higher than the rest of them. What I mean by this is if ROC does win, he's gonna get you a lot of points, where as someone like fredy is pretty minimal. Week 7 for example! SK and ROC both had very good weeks, but where as fredy only got 33 points, Overpow got 50! Basically: If both ROC and SK were to go 2-0 this week, ROC will score more points out of the two of them.

Otherwise I like the rest of your roster! Hope this helped!

So I'm running: Vizicsacsi Santorin Febiven P1noy Yellowstar Steeelback TSM vs. Dyrus Diamond Bjergsen Keith Lustboy BunnyFuFuu Elements

I think I definitely look better on paper, but I worry that if FNC have a bad week I'll be screwed. Do you think I should switch Vizi with Odoamne. I've stuck with Vizi through thick and thin all season, but I feel like it might be time to let him go. And Ryu is open. Would you switch Febiven for him? I'm tied 3-4 with 2 other people, and first place is 5-2.

Top and Mid: Go ahead and play Odo and Ryu this week. Never thought I would be saying this, but H2K is one of the top teams in EU right now, and their schedule this week is VERY light. They're facing MYM and EL, in which both of these teams are struggling to find their footing. RYU has been scoring consistent 40+ point weeks these past 3 weeks, he is a strong mid laner heading into week 8. And while I think Odoamne is the least impactful out of the H2K roster, He has made leaps and bounds this split. He is not only a great pickup heading into week 8, but a safe one at it as well.

Hope this helped! You're roster looks strong in comparison to his. You should win (Expecially if he keeps keith in Kappa) :D

I really need a win this week for first.

My Roster: Huni Rush Fox Steelback Kasing Apollo H2k

Bench: Santorin Betsy Fnatic

His Roster: Odamne Reignover Ryu Hjarnan Lustboy keith TIP

Bench: Soren Loulex Dyrus

My main concern is my mid i cant decide between Fox Betsy or XWX who is also open ( i dont want a heavy TIP team tho) i could always switch out rush for santorin and put XWX as my mid. What are your thoughts?

I personally believe you should drop your entire team and put in the MYM players. They're lined up to get a nice 0-2 this week which should bring you in an easy win. Or if your feeling a little ballsy put in team coast. As they are known as the best team in NA they should also bring in some good points. Best of luck :D :D

Just as a quick note, it looks like your opponent is playing Keith. And everything I've heard/read seems to indicate that Piglet will be playing this week.

Or in other words, even without roster changes, you've got a good chance at victory.

Top: Odoamne or Huni Jungle: Svenskeren or Kikis Mid: Ryu or Febiven ADC: Steelback or Apollo Support: Yellowstar Team: H2K Flex: top, mid, ADC, jungle?

Fnatic tends to draw out their wins and not close quickly, hence leading me to wanting to put them in despite H2K's relatively easy week (it may be too easy, and they'll win quickly with no points). I'm really torn on this one. I'm tied for 1st, and this should be only be a semi-competitive match (projected 270 to 230, but those numbers have lied before).

Hey nural,
I had a question. I'm in a full 8 man league so most things good are unavailable. Top - odoamne jungle - diamond mid- ryu adc - forgiven support - kasing flex - freeze team - gambit

Alt- jankos, overpow, and nukeduck.

My question is really about my flex pick. Should I put in nukeduck over freeze. And any other suggrstions?

Yes, put in Nukeduck over Freeze. Freeze is a phenomenal adc, but his matchups this week are going to be rough. CW isn't known for their upsets. Nukeduck should do well in at least one game, but it is EU LCS, and he might go 2-0. Your team looks solid. Starting Lineup for Week 8:

Cabochard Loulex Betsy Hjarnan Lustboy Rush Team Impulse

Bench: Link Freeze Team Liquid

Playing Rush in the flex because I really need to keep Link and Freeze secured on the roster for their very good Week 9 matchups, but they don't have good matchups this week either. Keith, however, is also a free agent and is estimated to make 42 points compared to Rush's estimate of 31, but well, Impulse is Impulse right now. I do intend to pick up Keith for his favorable Week 9 matchup (can't right now with Hjarnan and Freeze on roster, someone else in my league is a huge Freeze fan) and sub out Betsy, Hjarnan, Rush, and TIP for Link, Freeze, Keith, and Team Liquid (Impulse playing CLG is a worse choice for me, considering Liquid is against Dignitas and Winterfox).

Opponent for Week 8 is starting:

Vizicsacsi Reignover Bjergsen Cop Kasing Forgiven TSM

Thoughts?

Keith isn't starting week 8. We don't know about week 9 yet. Also, drop TL. It isn't worth it to have two teams, and TiP is just fine. You can swap them out next week. Your team looks just fine to me. It'll be a close matchup, but I don't think there's much you can do. Mine's the same way. XwX is probably your best bet between the two. Given TIP's recent rise, not only is XwX looking like his former self (being a world-class mid laner), but TIP is really riding a hype train, which is good for confidence. Gambit has been doing well also, but Betsy doesn't have the experience that Xwx does, and so I wouldn't consider him as reliable. I'd even dare to say that Gambit's performance at IEM may have hurt the confidence and morales of the players going back into the LCS this week.

What I need help with:

Should I replace Huni with Overpow? Huni's point average has gone down considerably and I'm not sure whether or not he can improve his play.

Reignover's points per game have been sub par recently, and Loulex looks very tempting right now. I am considering picking him up.

Should I start Soren or Betsy? Or should I pick up one of the Free Agents? All the mid laners in free agency (except Mancloud) had very good stats last week.

Although Hjarnan and WildTurtle are extremely good ADC's, Apollo has been playing very well recently. Should I pick up Apollo?

kaSing has been playing very well recently, but Vander's stats last week are looking very nice. Should I pick up Vander and drop Edward?

Also, should I drop Fnatic and pick up TIP?

Sorry for all these questions; I really want to win the next two weeks. The standings are extremely close.

Any help is appreciated. Thank you for taking the time to read this.

I'd stick with Huni in the top. It's true he's had a bad last two weeks, but in the first 5 weeks he averaged 58 points a week, which I think is very noteworthy. Fnatic should have a fairly easy week, and if anything, Huni should preform regardless of if they win or not. Should be an easy 50+ point week for him.

I'd also suggest swapping out Reignover for Loulex. Reignover had an amazing first three weeks, but hasn't been all that amazing since. But more importantly, H2K has an easier week than Fnatic, giving Loulex way more room to shine.

Personally, I'd keep Betsy in. The biggest thing to note might be the difference in schedules. With CW going up against SK, I can't say Soren will be likely to get a ton of points this week. While he did manage to squeeze out about 40 points combined against the same two teams, his game against SK only yeilded 3 points. Betsy is still a bit new, but I feel he's been improving (as a player, though his points may not represent it).

Honestly, I'd probably keep Hjarnan and WildTurtle, but I don't think any of your options are bad. Due to IEM I honestly expect TSM to really make a statement this week back in LCS. So despite them having to face CLG, WildTurtle should still have a great week. But if you were to swap one of those ADCs, WildTurtle would be the one (for Apollo). TIP have an easier week and have been headed for a great finish to the split.

You'll probably be better off keeping kaSing in. In the weeks he's gotten to play, he's done amazingly well for a support and with H2K having an easier week than ROC. As for the trade with Edward, honestly Edward has put up some impressive numbers as well over the weeks. But given the schedules, if there were a trade, you might do well to pick up Vander for W9.

As for teams, I'm not really sure what to tell you. Fnatic has been more consistent in points but the TIP Hype Train is real and so while it may be a little riskier, TIP will have the opportunity to yield more points this week.

Just wondering who I should start this week at Top and Jg.

Should I start:

  1. Cabochard and Rush
  2. Impact and Xmithie
  3. Cabochard and Xmithie
  4. Impact and Rush (Kinda don't want this since I'm also starting XiaoWeiXiao, just incase TiP massively screws up this week I don't want to bet roughly half my points on them)

Any advice is appreciated!

How could I forget! I mean this week they are only going against Impact and Winterfox. Easy wins. Next week yea they are going against TSM but they are going to be too focused on beating C9 that they are just going to lose to Coast!

Your roster is very TSM heavy. While they'll probably do well this week, there is the potential for them to under-perform.

Swapping Dyrus for Cabochard would be a good choice based on your roster/alts. Dyrus has been pretty consistent, but he never really has huge weeks in points. After the first two weeks, Cabochard has really taken off, having two weeks with nearly 70 points. I suppose Dyrus is a little more reliable, but he will probably only give you around 30 points this week while Cabochard has the potential to yield 40-60+ points.

I'd also suggest swapping TSM out with H2K. TSM may be #1 in NA, but they're facing CLG, the #2. And frankly, CLG kind of had them on the ropes most of the game the last time those teams played. Even if TSM wins that game, they might not do so well on objective control and it certainly won't be a win in under 30 mins. So in other words, TSM probably won't score too high, while H2K has an easier week and is currently one of the best teams in EU.

I'm not sure what other players are available, not that the rest of your roster is bad, but there may be a few picks that could help increase your points this week. Your opponent has a pretty strong roster this week so you don't want any players that could have a bad week on your roster.

Honestly, the only other player I think you may want to consider swapping this week would be Santorin. He's still new to TSM and the LCS. I think he grew a fair bit as a player at IEM, but there are other junglers out there that generally do better than him in Fantasy.

Link is another possible swap. He has kind of been on the decline and with CLG facing TSM this week, he's up against Bjergsen (and last time he didn't do all that well. After IEM it'll probably be harder to win against Bjerg). Froggen might be a good replacement, but he's unreliable this split. Betsy is probably going to be another suggestion, but he is still new and while Gambit has a whole has an easy schedule this week, Betsy will be up against Froggen (and while Froggen is inconsistent, he's still more skilled).

WildTurtle and LustBoy are doing great as a bot lane and against the same teams scored 70+ and 50+ points respectively last time. I see no reason to change them.

Don't really have any comments on P1noy to be honest.

I do think you will want to grab Freeze for next week. CW have an easy last week and Freeze has the potential to be unbelievable (as he currently has the highest scoring week with 90+ points).

It'll be posted later today! Yeah, last week was a flub in all things logic. E.g: To have IEM champions TSM lose to GV is kinda ridiculous.

Ya... this coming week is actually looking pretty difficult for me to decide on things.

One thing i did was drop P1noy and picked Freeze back up. He hasn't been a mega scorer as of late but history has shown on easy weeks he can score big :) Already won the league so no pressure but would like to remain undefeated :D

Hey Nural, where do you get your fantasy stats? This coming split will be my first fantasy experience so I can't look in any of my current leagues because I have none. I have looked all over the internet for anything resembling just a simple Spring Split fantasy stat bank (something that I can hopefully sort by average points per game, total split points, position, etc.). This would really help me work fill out my own spreadsheets before my draft comes around. Please help if you can, thanks.
