Hi there!

Ok, so the purpose of this forum is exactly what the title describes, to help people set up their best line up possible heading into the next week of games. We've all experienced a moment where we are choosing between two players, not sure which one will have the better turn-out with regards to their current match-ups, their record, if their on a losing streak, new subs of the team, etc. This can now become a place where the fantasy community can help each other out with their rosters so that they are receiving their full potential each and every week. This can also be a place to discuss possible Add/Drop possibilities. Anyway, everyone can understand the purpose behind this forum now.

Just simply post a question about who you are deciding between, along with your reasonings behind why you should and shouldn't start them. Then hopefully a fellow fantasy community member will be able to respond and help you make your decision. Anyone can help out! Multiple opinions and beliefs are better than just one! Remember, Strength in numbers.

Week 8 Analysis

Well, Here we are. The final week of the spring split. Everything is on the line for this week, both in the LCS standings and Fantasy respectfully. Week 8 could be summarized up into these two things. In EU: if you had either/or a UOL or FNC player, congrats on the free win. NA: Oh my GV and C9. GG EZ? Otherwise all other teams played rather average games. Nothing to noteworthy. If anything it was a bit of a letdown. I mean, IEM winners TSM lost to GV. What do?

So if you will bear with me for one last time, below are the teams I like heading into the final week of the split. Here we go!

EU:

  1. FNC. "Well no duh Nural. Everyone knows that they're one of the best teams." And you're right! This shouldn't come as a shock to many of you. However, the reason why i'm mentioning them here is because of the H2K vs FNC matchup this week. They both are very strong teams at the moment, both in fantasy and actual LCS standings. However, if I had to choose between an H2K player and a FNC player, i'm giving the edge to FNC. FNC during week 8 focused HEAVILY on the team fight. (I mean, just look at the UOL game). FNC this split have never not shown a hesitation in wanting to get into the fight, where as I felt H2K last week toned it back and played a more conservative/safe play style. (Most likely due to how high they are in the standings). This is simply me reassuring you that FNC should once again do well this week. As a side note: Im not saying H2K wont do well, I just dont think they will be getting 50+ points this week. (Unless UOL decides to go all out again.) H2K is a Safe pick here. I just like FNC better between the two.

  2. SK I think this will be a GREAT week for SK. They looked REALLY strong week 8, putting up great points in fantasy. And now they are looking at a fairly great week 9 (MYM, GMB), this should be a 2-0 for SK. MYM games usually tend to have, on average, more kills in their games. And due to MYM's desperate need to win these next games, they may be willing to play a little more risky and aggressivly to get a lead. However, I have no fear that SK wont be able to handle said aggression. SK is the better more cohesive team, and should easily be able to stand toe to tow with MYM. And now as for the GMB game. GMB really has dissapointed me these past two weeks, Expecially last week. They should have had no problem coming up with two easy wins last week, and they just simply looked out of it. And im sure their confidence is shattered after what should have been a very easy week. SK already has beaten them earlier on in the split, they are primed to beat GMB once again.

  3. UOL SOO. MUCH. LOVIN. UOL has been putting up some GREAT points over the past three weeks. W6 and W8 both were 40+ point weeks for the majority of the team. W7 was a little average, but wasnt terrible. Coming off of an insane win over FNC, their confidence is high to say the least. They now face a more conservative H2K and a demoralized GMB. Expect them to get some points again this week!

NA:

  1. TSM After all of the IEM hype, they had a very disappointing week 8 with their loss to GV. However, They now get their chance to take on the Punching bag COAST and C9. C9 had a very strong showing in week 8. However im still gonna give the edge to TSM here. TSM tends to do very well against the top teams, (CLG, C9). TSM has now 2-0 CLG, and they already beat C9 earlier this split. Granted, C9 is well known for adapting to the new patches, but TSM now has had a week to study up and come up with their own compositions as well. Expect TSM to win this one here in my opinion. TSM! TSM! TSM!

  2. TIP TIP is coming off another successful week! Apart from XWX uncharacteristic performance, they all had a great week 8. Apollo in particular has been playing out of his mind recently with three back to back 50+ point weeks! TIP's confidence is peaking, and they're gameplay is showing it. They should have no issue in topping DIG this weekend. And as for the CLG game, well, TIP is the hotter team at the moment. TIP has had three back to back successful weeks, and are showing no signs of stopping. If they continue to play the way they've been playing, win or lose, there will be points to be had by them in week 9.

  3. WFX This is my ultamite sleeper pick for this week. WFX looked better after bringing back gleeb. Altec and Gleeb together have been playing really well with their synergy. Now they face COAST and TL. Coast is self explanatory. TL in my opinion is one of the weakest teams in NA. Yes, they're last game in week 8 looked good with piglet on vayne. But To me, I see no synergy amongst the team, and that there is a lot of Chinks in TL's armor. I think WFX has the potential with gleeb back in to capitalize on TL's weak play right now and score a fair amount of points.

I just want to take this time to once again thank you all for the support this split! When I originally made this forum, I had no idea it would become this successful. Thank you all once again for the support, and a special shout out to all of those who also took time out of their day to respond to those in which I couldn't! Its great to see all of the discussion amongst the community, which is one of the reasons why this was created.

Hey there again ;) I have posted question in post below but I think i get no attention there My opponent has: Wickd Jankos Nukeduck Rekkles Xpecial Forg1vengre and EL So I decided to go with: Dyrus, Santorin, Soren, Hjarnan, nRated Steelback and TSM

Well for me is now shaky jungle - Santorin or Reignover and ADC - Hjarnan or maybe Vardags or Apollo? Do you agree with rest? Or shall i make any other changes ?

I would keep in santorin since tsm have an easy weak and since even when fnc does well reignover is their lowest scoring member (only 52 points last weak compared to 59+ the rest of the team and 74 from Huni). I would go Vardags or Apollo over Hjarnan (personally I would say apollo but an arguement could be made for either). Hjarnan just isn't explosive with points compared to the other two. On another note I think dyrus and soren are very risky picks since they aren't sure fire prospects. Dyrus is a target for those facing TSM (0/6/0 vs GV) and hes facing Balls this weak who is a very strong laner with Meteos being able to bring a strong presence to top lane (not to mention the aggressive top lane dives they have been doing on c9) and Soren only does well if the rest of cw does well. see if you have any other mids or tops available to you that would be better

I would like to keep Dyrus bcs I´m convinced that TSM will win against C9 ;) + They are facing CST - free points I believe I have as alternate: Cabo but GMB has shaky matchup this week - UOL and SK. And these top laners are free: Youngbuck, Avalon, Hauntzer, Odoamne, Calitrolz8. Well that Soren thing: I feel like CW are gonna win both of their games. In the second half of the split they stepped up and improved their performance. I have Link but CLG is going against pumped TIP - which I feel like this is gonna be shaky ... For mid laners free are: Powerofevil, FeniX, Ryu, Keane, Hai, Betsy And finally ADC i feel like this is most tricky part of my team this week ... Also Sneaky is free to pick up but C9 are worthless in fantasy points I think - usually when they win they have clear games with least points. So going one of Hjarnan Apollo and Vardags seems best option.

The way I see it is like this.

Th good news for you is that you cant go wrong with either Reignover or Santorin. However, Im inclined to go with santorin this week. Statistically, they are even as can be. So it does come down to the match-ups. And as @Aragorn has mentioned above, I too believe that TSM's Schedule is easier. There both great choices this week, just think I like santorin in this instance better.

Mid: Go with POE here. As you probably read above, I really like UOL heading into this week. And in my humble opinion, POE is their star player. He can single-handily carry that team if he gets going. When UOL does do well, he gets SOOOOO many kills. (Im going to touch on the CW side of things in a comment up above).

ADC: Apollo 100%. As you read above, they are on a hot streak. But Apollo in particular has really shined these past three weeks. I mean cmon, three 50+ point weeks in NA??? What even is this? His gameplay has grown immensely throughout the split, and its about time you get to cash in on it!

Hello again Nural, nice to see your post right when i started making changes in my leagues for week 9. So, in the top lane should I choose fredy122 or Huni ? Also do you think Freeze or Soren will get more points in week 9? (Btw why didn't you mention CW?... they have a very easy week 9)

Hey! my opinion would be to go with Huni for top lane. Huni is the number one top laner this split. His total points this split is 100 more than the 2nd best top laner. Yes he had one week where he got 28 points but compared to everyother week, I think it is a safe bet that Huni is going to over perform again. Now Fredy does have an easy week, but he has never scored over 45 points this split.

For Freeze or Soren, who are you comparing to for more points?

Top: Huni. He will be known as the best top laner in EU 2015 Spring split in my humble opinion. He is THE powerhouse for points in FNC and in the top lane position. I mean, he got 74 points last week!! Even if he does do poorly, he still is able to grab at least 30 points or so. He is a must have.

Here is why I didnt mention CW. Granted, CW's week is very light! I was originally gonna put them down as a potential sleeper. However, I was looking at the trend of the team since W5, (Or the last time they were scoring 50+ points). What once was a hot streak is now more of a warm streak. They've taken their foot of the pedal a little. Im not sure if its a confidence issue, but they arent making the same bold, aggressive decisions as to those back in weeks 4 and 5. Week 6 and 8, the highest scoring member on that team just was above 20 points. Week 7 was fine, but nothing spectacular with the highest member scoring 40 points (Which is a good score, just think its a little underwhelming after being on a hot streak.)

But if i had to choose between the two, I'd go with freeze here. Freeze tends to play very consistently, and has been scoring the highest out of the two of them for the past 3 weeks, and consistency is really the only thing you can go off of with this team this late in the split,

Well let me first say that your opponents line-up is VERY "interesting." EL is not the kind of team at the moment to go all in on. In other words, I think with the addition of apollo in over freeze, you should have NO trouble coming out with the W for this week.

And absolutely! And Ill definitely be back for the summer split :D

I still like apollo here. I feel that TIP are hot enough right now where they can stand toe to toe with CLG. Even if they lose, He should still bring in more than enough points for you!

Hey all, To tie for first, I have to win this week. It's gonna be hard. Here's what I have: Overpow Svenskeren Fox Forg1ven Lustboy Freeze SK Gaming Bench: Hauntzer, Fenix

He has: Vizicsacsi Reignover PowerOfEvil Doublelift Kasing Link CLG Bench: Quas, Saintvicious, Team Liquid

My only questions this week are Svenskeren or Santorin, and do I play Fox, Forg1ven, and Freeze or do I throw in Fenix? And do you believe in ROC or CW this week? I can grab Youngbuck for Overpow.

Although I'm not Nural I recommend you to use Santorin over Svenskeren, Freeze as your flex (keep Fenix benched) and CW have a fairly easy week so they must be a better pick compared to ROC.

Jung: I Like Santorin here. Primarily because of the coast match-up. MYM, while they may be one of the weakest teams in EU, they have shown some new fight and life in the past couple of weeks. Where as Coast has been doing what coast does best... losing the game. Also! Since they are already locked in for 10th place, so I wouldnt be surprised If coast decided to go all out this week and have fun with these last 2 LCS games. (This also happened at the end of the 2014 summer split with a Milennuim game. Because the standings were already set in stone).

And between the two, CW. I've been going back and forth on the whole CW debate this week. Personally, I think their hot streak has come to an end, but yet again, they were facing some hard teams as well. But I will agree, if there was a week to bet on Cw, it would be this one due to their light schedule. Plus, I think CW is more of an explosive group than ROC if they get going. So keep freeze in there.

Are there any other available top laners?

If not, Stick with Overpow. He is statistically the better top laner between the two. And thats all that matters at this stage in the game. Best to play it safe here.

C9 isn't known for their liking team fights, though. I was thinking the SK-GMB game would be bloody and Sven has an amazing kill participation, and even if MYM wins, SK surely won't roll over and give in without a good effort. What do you think?

I'll keep Freeze in as Flex, but should I keep Fox in over Fenix? PTL called Fenix a sleeper pick for the week, and he does have an easy week.

The only other top laners are Hauntzer, Avalon, Wickd, Cabochard, then scrubs like Gamsu and Cris... I could maybe manage a trade for Calitrlolz but I don't know if he's better than Overpow this week.

All right time for the final stretch! I managed to win last week despite getting only 200 points (thank god my opponent had Liquid lol) Depending on how things go this week, I may be able to scratch in 3rd place.

MY ROSTER

Top - Hauntzer (GV) Jg - Santorin (TSM) Mid - Link (CLG) ADC - Apollo (TiP) Supp - Yellowstar (FNC) Flex - Doublelift (CLG) Team - CLG

Bench - Adrian (TIP), Porpoise8 (T8), Betsy (GMB)

FACING Top - Fredy (SK) Jg - Xmithie (CLG) Mid - Fox (SK) ADC - Pinoy (GMB) Supp - Lustboy (TSM) Flex - Xiaoweixiao (TIP) Team - TSM

My biggest issue is with top laners. I decided to drop Cabochard due to GMB's slump, but should I pick him up again to match my opponent's Pinoy? Should I stick with Hauntzer or pick up CaliTrolz (T8), who both looked really good last week? Or maybe look at Overpow (ROC), who seems to have an easy week vs MYM and CW?

Also, for support, should I stick with Yellowstar, or take a risk with either Gleeb, Adrian or Hylissang (UOL)?

Top: This one is tricky because they both inconsistent, but i'm leaning more toward hauntzer this week. He is the more consistent one between the two. Hauntzer has done well against both of his opponents this week, (Scored 23 against C9, Scored 28 against T8). Where as calitrols was underwhelming. Not to mention calitrols is a coin flip each week. One week he scores 40+ points, then he scores 10+ the next. Hauntzer has been performing well these past 2 weeks, that should carry over..

And Stick with Yellowstar. Not only has he been one of the most consistent supports, he's been on the the best in fantasy scoring as well. Ride this FNC hype train all the way to the end my opinion.!

So I'm going yolo because for all intents and purposes my opponents roster is stacked and I already won the league I just want the 8/0 (joined week 2). I'm running the full TIP roster + cop and sk gaming. I am wondering if it would be better to run uol or another available team (fnc tsm gmb clg and sk players are the ones that are all taken theres like a few that are not on those teams but not many) to see if I can cash in on insane points just for this week.

I applaud your bravery sir. But in all actuality, I think you've got all the compnents to an explosive team, (Aka TIP XD ). I think they are gonna have a very strong end to the split, and they will come back even stronger in the summer.

thanks haha my opponent has fnc's mid and bot and has their team as well as bjerg in flex and gmb's top/jg so its gonna be close. No average week would win this match up.

Jungler: As much as it pains me to say this, Go with rush here. I Love Kikis. I think he has performed incredibly well over the course of the split. But I think TIP is on a hot streak right now and sometimes that the best way to go about this. Rush has performed equally well these past 2 weeks, nailing two back to back 40+ point weeks, and I think that will carry over into this week.

So here it is for the final week! Dropped P1noy picked back up Freeze. Dropped Hjarnan to pick up Apollo. Im still iffy on playing H2K as my team this week but dont really see a much better option; c9, TIP and CW are still available

Mid: Put back in Ryu. Im not totally sold on the CW this week. They just have been underwhelming in the past couple of weeks, and I think its too risky to run two of them here. While I think H2K will have a hardr time, I think that they are still a team to be reckoned with. Ryu has been solid these past couple of weeks and it would be a better calculated risk here than soren due to H2K's recent success.

H2K is still my team to have in the team slot due to their incredible focus on the objective game. But if you are wary of the H2K here, TIP is a great replacement this week. I think TIP will be able to stand toe to toe with CLG. They are a hot team, and hot teams are hard to beat at this stage in the game.

I stuck with my gut and went with Soren. I had a strong feeling it would be a good showing by CW and Freeze and Soren helped me out nicely to finish me 5-0 :) Thanks for all the help!

Hey, What are your thoughts.

Top: Hauntzer or Combochard or Odowamne Jungle: Diamond or Kikis Mid: Febiven Adc: Apollo or Altec Support: Yellowstar Flex, Soren, Altec, pobelter, piglet Team, H2k Winterfox, Impact

I am thinking of going with Hauntzer for top. Kikis for Jungle Apollo for Adc I am going back and forth between pobelter and Soren for flex. And while H2K has a rought schedule , I was thinking of choosing them for my team.

I need some help deciding who to put in for top and flex for top I can choose between: hauntzer, odoamne, youngbuck, zion flex: rekkles, power of evil, pobelter, cop

My team right now is: Top: odoamne Jungle: reignover Mid: Febiven ADC: steelback support: yellowstar flex: power of evil team: clg

Im up against an sk team heavy this week with SK in every role but support and flex which are kassing and freeze

Well with that opponents roster in mind...

Top: Odoamne. H2K have been solid these past couple of weeks. They did let they're foot off the pedal a little bit last week, but its definitely a safe pick here. Plus, he is also running one H2K player as well, those two should cancel out if anything were to happen.

Otherwise I love the team right now! I mean in all honesty, what it will really come down to is whether or not SK will perform. If they do, you may be in trouble. If they lose 1 of their games, or if even one turns out to be a dud of a game, you will win.

Hello again! Here is my starting lineup for the last week!

Top: Vizicsacsi Jungle: Kikis Mid: Link Adc: Forgiven Support: Lustboy Flex: Rekkles Team: TSM

My bench include: Powerofevil, Freddy122 and Xmithie.

The only thing I'm concerned with is my flex and mid pick. Not sure who to start at mid, Link or Powerofevil. POE has come off of an amazing week (that UOL vs FNC game was insane!) but Link does have a slightly easier week. Do I keep Rekkles in at the flex spot or put in the other mid laner, since they've been producing more points than Rekkles? As always, your input is greatly appreciated and I hope you all finish strong this week!

Flex: Put in POE. You said it yourself, He has been outperforming Rekkles and is coming off an insane week. He can single-handily carry that team if he gets going. When UOL does do well, he gets SOOOOO many kills. He is definitely worth running this week.

Otherwise I love the team!

Jung: Sven. (Read above for SK reasoning). Im not sold on the CW this week. The only people I would consider even running from Cw at the moment is Soren and Freeze. Airwaks has been a massive dud this season in points. Sven has the easier week and should do way better!

Flex: Apollo. As you read above in the analysis, they are on a hot streak. But Apollo in particular has really shined these past three weeks. I mean cmon, three 50+ point weeks in NA??? His gameplay has grown immensely throughout the split, and its about time you get to cash in on it!

With these changes, I think you should be good to go!

Wassup Nural.

So my roster's pretty solid this week. My only issue is with my "team" slot. Should I play TIP or CW?

TIP is definitely the stronger team, but they play against CLG and I'm not sure how many objectives they'll get/if they'll even win. CW is not the hottest team right now, but they have probably the lightest schedule ever this week. What's your take? If I win this week I'll be 9 - 0.

I really like TIP this week. CW does have the easier week, but them as a team dont score many points, for they are a more kill-oriented team. TIP are on the hot streak, they have scored back to back 40 point weeks in the team slot, and are your safest bet heading into week 9.

I think your line-up looks great! You got my stamp of approval. I think the only thing im war about is your mid, but soren is the way to go here with whats available in my opinion.
