It took me a few seconds to realize that it's not actually broken, the layering on her elbow is just done very poorly. It's not showing up, so the arm looks bent the wrong way when it actually isn't.

For that matter, wearing a thong in the desert at all seems like a bad idea. A lot of our desert peoples wear robes that cover everything. Plus, her being as white as she is, she'd probably burn to a cinder. At least she isn't a redhead though, they'd burn even worse.

its probably pretty dull actually, it is a boomerang after all, she needs to catch it after throws. can you see the easily grabbed not blade part of that. also note that she can't just be skilled, because at one point she would have needed to practice, that weapon type is unique and expensive looking, and obviously she has little enough money to have lived her entire life a thief, so she couldn't have just bought a different one anyway.

I'd be less concerned about her finger, and more concerned about her arm. Did it become double-jointed when I wasn't looking?

Yeah, you actually don't want to have a combat blade sharpened that sharp- it gives such a small cross-section that steel isn't strong enough to hold the edge, and you chip the blade with any resistance. You're better off sharpening it that far and then running the whetstone directly against the blade a couple times- keeps much of the sharpness but allows it to deflect from hard resistance rather than biting and chipping. If we had something much, much harder than steel it might work. But that's way past the probable technology of Shurima- it'd probably require titanium (I'm not sure if even a titanium/steel alloy would be strong enough) if it were to work.

But yeah, modern kitchen knives are much sharper than a combat-ready blade should be, due to better alloys and the fact that they aren't designed to be swung or to hit bone/hard resistance with force behind them. And you can press on a knife with pretty reasonable force and be k if you don't move side-to-side too much.
