[League Judgement] Jinx, The Loose Cannon
Candidate: Jinx
Date: October 18th, 22 CLE
OBSERVATION
Jinx's arrival is prepared far in advance. Due to her unstable nature and extremely volatile state, three summoners of moderate power are escorting her. Oddly enough, Jinx does not seem the least bit worried even as she is flanked in a triangle-formation by these summoners. No, she is skipping merrily and enjoying herself.
While we were unable to confiscate her weapons, we were at least able to get her to holster them. One really must admire Jinx: The combined weight of both "Pow-Pow", her mini-gun and "Fishbones", her hextech launcher should be over a hundred to two hundred pounds. Still she skips, ignoring (perhaps ignorant to?) the weight of these weapons.
As Jinx approaches the door, she takes a moment to "comedically" pull on it to no avail. She then grumbles something about the decline of chivalry in Runeterra. She only enters the reflection chamber once one of the summoners actively opens the door for her. She returns this with a mock curtsey and one of her "flame chompers" with the code of her hextech phone, "call me~♥" scrawled upon the chomper in crude, pink paint.
The flame chomper was confiscated once Jinx left the room. It was set to detonate exactly two hours after Jinx handed it off. Estimations say forty to fifty summoners were saved from brutal injury and/or death.
REFLECTION
In their household it was a familiar sound: Screaming and arguing. Every night when they'd fight, it'd wake her up. She used to be able to go back to bed when Vivianna told their parents to be quiet but...well, she wasn't here anymore.
The young girl with long, blue hair stumbled out of bed. She couldn't have been older than six, perhaps even younger. One arm was clamped around her stuffed fish, "Fishbones", as she tip-toed her way to the living room.
Those were her parents, sure, but their faces were blurry and black. She was unable to distinguish features as they yelled at each other. She hated when they yelled, she hated being the only one left in the house.
"You're driving our family apart with your drinking!" said Mom. Mom always yelled. She missed when Maggie would help Mom be quiet. But Maggie wasn't around.
"Get off my back woman, we have useless daughters who abandon our damn farm!" Dad replied. Dad was mean. Vivianna used to get between her and Dad. But Vivianna wasn't around.
The young girl looked between her parents. "Can you two stop fighting? Fishbones hates it when you guys fight..." she whispered softly. She missed the warm days on the farm, just outside of Zaun. She missed her family of five. Now it was three...Fishbones excluded.
More yelling. Screaming. The black blotches on Mom and Dad's faces turned into swirling pits. The young girl sniffled. She was terrified. Harder she clamped onto Fishbones, curling on the floor. Usually, after that, the pain came. The screaming. The pain. The crying. Rinse and repeat.
The pain never came, however. Now the young girl, who had aged many a year, stood in front of her house. It all became clearer now. For years she put up with those two idiots, taking out their problems on her. Well, now they weren't around. The house was in flames, the only thing she had saved were blueprints ("She's such a bright girl." Mom always said) for weapons and a singed, torn up Fishbones.
Intently, Jinx stared at her old stuffed friend. Yes, Jinx, that was a good name. "Why do you wish to join the League?" asked a voice. Turning, Jinx saw a man in dark purple robes, watching the house burn with her.
Jinx shrugged, tossing her sole friend into one of the windows, roaring flames engulfing the old fish toy in seconds. "I'unno. I guess 'cuz it lets me play with my toys?"
Again, he asked: "Why do you wish to join the League?"
"Because it's fun?"
"Why-"
"Because I don't know?"
"Why-"
"Ohmygod GET OFF MY BACK."
"...Why?"
Jinx stared...and then pouted, like a child being told her punishment. "Because they left me. They left me alone with them, left me to die pretty much. It's why everything has to go boom or burn or whatever. I had to suffer while everyone had fun so now they have to suffer while I get to have my fun."
The summoner finally nodded. "How does it feel, exposing your mind?"
Jinx snorted, arms crossed. "It feels like you're a pervert, dumb robe face butt." Gone was that momentary glimpse into her deepest feelings. Already, like a stain on a rug, she threw a cover over it.
The summoner grimaced, irritated with the informal and jovial tone. Still, Jinx hopped behind him, away from the burning wreckage of the home. She walked and walked into the light.
There was so much to do and only the rest of her life to do it...
