Story idea for a new Mount Targon Champion
Mount Targon's only got Pantheon, Leona and Diana, and I think we need something new thrown into the mix for them. Here's my attempt at it via a Champion background.
Deneb is the Matron of the Blackwing Harpies, the original denizens of Mount Targon who were annexed centuries ago by the first Rakkorians. The Harpies have ever since been bitter enemies of the Rakkorians, continually raiding their villages and farms to try and drive them to extinction. But the Harpies numbers have dwindled over the years, and they are no closer to driving out their adversaries.
Deneb herself is a powerful Harpy witch whose only daughter was slain during a raid by Pantheon. Vowing revenge for the loss of her chick, Deneb learned of a powerful spell that could "scorch the sky", something she knew would give the Blackwings the edge they needed to finally annihilate the Rakkorians. However, she knew she would never be able to obtain the items she needed for the ritual herself.
Seeking an answer, Deneb came across a silver-haired Rakkorian in unique armor and wielding a curved blade: Diana. Learning of Diana's quest against the Solari, Deneb told Diana of the spell. However, Deneb only revealed to Diana that the spell could "block out the sun", not that it would "block out the sky". Though Diana was untrusting of the Harpy witch, the offer was too tempting for Diana to turn down, and thus she agreed to help Deneb with her spell.
Deneb now prepares for the ritual, as well as preparing her own revenge on the Rakkorians' Champion, Pantheon.
I don't have a kit for this, but this topic is just to discuss the story idea. What do you guys think of it?
