The name is just a placeholder until I come up with a better one, or if you guys think it's a good name for the champion please say so. I'm open to all ideas, be it name, ability details, stats, and the like. I look forward to seeing your reaction to my first champion idea, and I already have a second one on the way, thanks :D

Background: the tales of the chain warden are told even today, and everyone knows just how cruel thresh was to his victims. However, no one remembers his brother, Cry, who worked along side him. Cry was thresh's younger brother, and was much more compassionate than thresh; he preferred to execute the inmates quickly rather than torture them like his brother did. Using his favorite weapon, the scythe given to him by his father, he would decapitate inmates quickly, often without them knowing he was there until after they died. Though they had their differences they were a great pair, thresh chaining the wards down while cry sharpened his scythe, waiting for the right time to end their suffering. Many of the wards liked cry and respected him, but when they broke out they knew he would turn on them for killing his brother, so a few wards took his scythe and pierced his heart, ending him as well as his brother. The burning passion he felt for ending dark lives kept him alive however, and he ascended, sprouting his wings and taking the scythe from his chest, he was able to now heal his wounds with ease, and than he saw his brother, hung by his own chains. Cry used his new healing abilities to revive his brothers soul into a new form; it's current form, than flew off in search for new victims. Now he comes to the league to find more dark souls to reap, and to once again stand beside his beloved brother. "everyone knows of the chain warden, but no one remembers his brother." -Cry

First off, I think you are giving Cry way too much hard cc with a position reversal AND a grab. Maybe rework one of the moves (I would change the grab one "soul tug" to something similar to Lee Sin's mobility - either an ally jump, an enemy gap closer, or even just a free jump if you think it would be balanced - it would offer his kit an escape.

The passive health/mana restore is quite large, I think. The lowest amount of health and mana he would gain back would be 40, which is quite a strong heal and will provide overwhelmingly heavy sustain which would allow him to be similar to how Nasus is right now (prior to patch 3.14) - able to stay in lane indefinitely by playing passively and just farming. And on top of this, he will have no mana costs ever, allowing him to last hit with his moves or his basic at NO COST! That is wayyyy too powerful. Consider reworking his ult to be more aggressive than sustaining OR lower the healing and mana regen effect significantly. --- In my opinion I would rework the passive altogether. ---

The Q seems a little too similar to Darius. In fact, Cry seems to somewhat resemble Darius (grab, nuke ult, spin aoe q). Maybe make his q more unigue to his character and more in sync with his passive somehow. Maybe using it could grant more armor/mr per enemy hit, since his E will place right in the middle of the enemy?

I really enjoy his E with the position reversal and I think Riot definitely could create a really unique champion with fun and new ways to use a position reversal, since all we have now is Urgot (right?).

The ult seems way to powerful and doesnt really offer any trade-offs. You get armor pen on the passive, true damage, missing health % damage, AND a chance to deal double damage if they are below 50% health. I'm no expert on this game so I may be wrong, but it seems like that is too powerful of a nuke that has no trade-offs (examples of tradeoffs: olaf loses defense and gains offense, veigar's ult scales off enemies ap, darius has to have blood stacks, etc).

Lastly, Thresh already has an "arch-enemy" - Lucian. I think you should rework his story to apply to someone else (Zyra's enemy?) OR create a whole new branch in the LoL world, with Cry having his own story.

I think this is a good start, but it definitely needs some fine tuning, in my opinion. I look forward to seeing more!! Good job :) Let me know if I am making sense or if you have some questions for me.

Cry 1.1: Nerfed his passive to 1/4 instead of equal, changed his w to be a dunk instead of a pull, and changed his ult to be more of a 'target acquired' instead of a full on execute nuke. I also buffed his e a little, because in a team fight it would land him right in the middle of the enemy team, so he now steals some armor and MR so he can have a chance to walk away.

Although this Champion would be so fun to play, you have got to play with the numbers. I love his kit, everything is so cool, the way you could Spin Sickle someone and then jump back to your original place with Soul Tug would make for an awesome combo (not sure if you meant for that to be a thing). Cry's base mana is really high, so is his armor, and the damage of all of his abilities. I know it is really had to get the numbers right, but you gotta work on them. With a rank five Q you can instantly kill mage minions. The armor and magic resist steal for his E is also very high. The numbers just need to be fine-tuned.

cry 1.2: numbers got tweaked, base mana and mana per level reduced, base armor and armor per level reduced, and the base damage of his Q and W have both been reduced. The armor and MR steal from his E has also been reduced. I have also added something onto his R's active: killing the target will let him choose a new target within the next 10 seconds, effectively giving his ult a reward for killing the target. his ult's CD has been set to a static 100 seconds, and the ult would not go on cooldown while it is active, or during the 10 seconds after killing the target. Only after all effects of his ult wear off will it go onto CD.

cry 1.3: I decided to make him have more use to his soul mark, so I replaced his old passive with his old W passive, so his passive now applies soul mark. I gave his Q and W effects that interacted with his new passive, his Q now slows marked units, and his W will only damage marked units, though I may change his W back if I don't like how it would work. his R was much to close to poppy, so I changed it to fit with his new passive, his ult now detonates marks around him. Let me know if these changes are too drastic or if I should make more changes to his current kit, thanks guys :D
