[Champion concept] Mae: the void master (Feedback appreciated)

This champion still needs a few numbers and I'm still working on the backstory, but I wanted to put him out there to see if anyone has any ideas to help me out. His primary role is a health tank, focusing on poking with his abilities and farming his void energy using his basics on creeps. His basics would be either using his fists(see picture), or using some sort of weapon of the void. I envision him as a top laner, although I can definitely see him as a suitable jungler. I hope you guys like my second champion concept, as I have 3 more in development. I'll keep making changes as needed, and I'll eventually have all of his numbers filled and his backstory completed, thanks :D

Changelog: 1.2: I FINALLY FIGURED OUT HIS NEW E. it gives him resistance at the cost of movement speed, but allows him to get away by rooting anybody that hits him, the empowered gives movespeed as well as resistances, and the root length is doubled.

1.1: gave him his health regen stat, made his void energy a bit easier to charge at full health, cleared something up about his passive that would bring up issues if left alone, lowered his health costs significantly(from 50% of base damage to 20% of base damage) as well as getting rid of his void energy damage, but giving him sustain through his empowered abilities to compensate(his void energy at full health would have given him WAAAAAY too much damage), gave his shade/void eruption a slow, gave his shadow strike some CC of its own(effectively giving all of his abilities CC), and finally I made his ult a little more useful by getting rid of the 15 seconds of full void energy, giving his ult passive full void energy upon kill or assist, and making it fit his character as the master of the void, who wouldn't want to warship the master of all things dark and twisted?

Passive: void shift: Mae uses void energy as a secondary resource, his max void energy is equal to half of his current HP. When Mae loses or gains health his current %of void energy is kept. (If he has max void energy getting healed wont make it so he doesn't have max, he will keep his 100%) Mae does not regain void energy passively, instead gaining void energy by dealing damage to enemy units, void energy gained is dependent on his max void energy, for every 300 max he gains an extra multiplier(600 2x, 900 3x, etc.) At max void energy Mae's next basic ability becomes empowered at the cost of all void energy upon casting. Empowered abilities do not give void energy, but instead give back all damage dealt as health.

Q: shadow strike: Cost: 8/16/24/36/40 health

CD: 7 seconds

range: 700

Mae dashes forward, dealing 40/80/120/160/200 (+4% of Mae's max health) damage and pushing aside all enemy units he passes through.

Void strike: Cost: all void energy

Mae dashes forward and knocks up all enemy units he passes through, dealing 40/80/120/160/200 (+4% mae's max health)

W: shade eruption: Cost: 12/20/28/36/44 health

CD: 9 seconds

Mae causes a target area to erupt after 1 second, dealing 60/100/140/180/220 (+5% maes max health) damage to all enemies in the area and slowing them by 20/25/30/35/40% for 3seconds.

Void eruption: Cost: all void energy

mae causes a target area to erupt after 1 second, slowing enemies by 20/25/30/35/40%, dealing 90/150/210/270/330 (+5% maes max health) and shielding allies for 45/ 75/ 105/ 135/ 165 (+2.5% maes max health) for 5 seconds.

E: dark armor: Cost: no cost

Mae summons a heavy suit of armor around him, losing 20 movement speed but gaining 10/20/30/40/50 additional armor and MR for 8 seconds. being attacked for this time causes the attacker to be rooted for .25 seconds. The same target cannot be rooted more than twice every two seconds.

void armor: Cost: all void energy

Mae summons a suit of armor from the void, granting him 20 movement speed and 10/20/30/40/50 armor and MR for 8 seconds. being attacked for this time causes the attacker to be rooted for .5 seconds. The same target cannot be rooted more than twice every two seconds.

R: void collapse: Cost: all void energy

CD: 90/75/60 seconds

radius: 600

passive: void collapse cannot be activated without full void energy and Mae gains 50% more void energy as he deals damage. Getting a kill or assist on an enemy champion gives Mae full void energy.

Active: Mae uses the power of the void to force all enemy champions in an area to walk towards him harmlessly for 2 seconds while he channels. At the end of the channel he collapses the area around him, dealing 50/100/150+(4/7/10% of mae's max health) damage to all enemies around him and stunning them for 1 second.

I LOVE that passive, really cool concept, and I like how you want to stay at a high HP because it means your Void damage on empowered abilities will be stronger. really cool concept but I have a few problems.

  1. I'd suggest taking out the numbers and just use the abilities themselves. (for example the Q at level 1 [with 500 hp] will do a measly 60 damage before resistances [~45 if 25% reduct, not hard at level one] while take 20 damage. This means you deal VERY weak damage while taking almost 1/2 of what you dealt.

TLDR: Take off the numbers

  1. The E. It's WAAAAAAAAAAY too similar to morg's Q, the snare durations are even really similar.

  2. The empowered abilities: I like the fact that he uses hp to cast [will get to my gripes later] but with empowered, the damage doesn't seem that much higher so you are really just getting more utility. Also, I'd suggest making the empowered not cost HP, only the Void Energy, this way it seems like a MUCH better ability [Using the power of the void purely instead of HP]

  3. HP Costs. This ties in with number 1. Those hp costs are INSANE. Like... 100 HP to cast ONE spell, jesus. Also, every other HP caster [Besides Mord, but he gets a shield] has HP regen in their kit to counter balance the costs of the HP. Zac with his passive, Aatrox with his LS thingy, Vlad with his q, Mundo with his INSANE HP regen [you get the point]. I'd suggest that in addition to doing number 3, making the empowered heal him for maybe a % of the damage dealt [This way, non-empowered fuels his void energy, and empowered fuels his HP, makes it feel like the Void is keeping him alive with it's energy]

  4. Void Energy: I love that passive, it's a SUPER cool concept. Low HP means he can get more empowered abilities, while higher HP means the spells do more damage, its a balance passive [like old karmas, and Olafs] I love it. However, I'd change the ratio to which damage fills the V.E. at level one with 500 hp you'll have to do 250 damage just to get an empowered ability. Considering you'll be building tanky, you should EASILY get over 3k hp. That requires 1500 DAMAGE JUST TO GET AN EMPOWERED ABILITY. THAT'S INSANE. I'd suggest a ramping up passive.[Something like 2x/3x/4x/ or something along those lines]

  5. The Ult: It seems like a general I do damage ult. Add some flair, some utility. Right now its, I need to wait to use this until it can kill them so I can cast empowered abilities for a while afterwards. He feels like a tank kit, hell, the items you recommend are TANK items. The ult is what defines him, go Certainly T up its ass, overload that thing and THEN tone it down.

  6. The CC: He feels like a tank, yet he has little to NO cc besides empowered abilities [considering I hate that e, I'd change that into a cool utility, try to think of something that isn't really in the game.] he needs at least one GOOD non-empowered CC, and maybe another minor non-empowered CC [maybe his q can slow units that he dashed through]

Anyways I like the concept, work on it!!

Well that's their fault for attacking so much XD but yea, I see what you're saying, fixed it.
