Alice, The Demonic Doll Maker

Any and all suggestions are appreciated. All numbers are flexible and if you have any suggestions for her base stats please leave a comment. Any and all critique is welcome, and for now enjoy my rather awful and overly complicated attempt at making a minion commanding champion. :)

EDITS

1/9/14 - Added passive. "Stitch" is currently used only for her ultimate which is still in development.
1/10/14 - Mostly grammatical and formatting changes. Changed "Stitch" to "Stitches".
1/10/14 - Added Alice's ultimate: "Mesmira, The Doll of Change".
1/16/14 - Formatting, spelling, grammar, etc. Added "Ragnerock" to "Mesmira, The Doll of Change" and "Pay the Price" to "The Doll Maker's Mastery".

Lore

Alice has always been jealous of, who she considers to be, her only rival. Annie, The Dark Child. Annie's impressive magic had those of the Gray Order constantly praising her magical strength. Alice, whose parents where also members of the Gray Order, was always overlooked.

Alice wanted to destroy Annie and prove that she was the superior sorcerer. She vowed to obtain enough power to do so no matter what the cost. In her quest for power, she found herself drawn to the League of Legends. Alice spectated multiple battles at the Institute of War, and was amazed at the strength they wielded. That was until she Annie participating in the fights. This only enraged Alice more, she stormed out of the Institute of War in a fit of utter rage. She sat in front of the Institute pitying herself until she was approached by a figure exiting the building.

The man that approached was Nicodemus, a champion in the League. He suggested that Alice become his apprentice if she was in search of power. Alice instantly agreed. She trained with Nicodemus for hours on end in the art of puppetry magic, but it wasn't enough for Alice. She needed more than the Dark Puppeteer's training.

After many hours of research, Alice made a journey the darkest and most corrupted region in Valoran. The Shadow Isles. No one knows what happened during her journey except for Alice herself, and she's never spoken a word of it to anyone. When she came back from the Isles she was accompanied by three life-sized dolls, each of them containing a demon born of the Shadow Isle's twisted atmosphere.

In a final attempt to gain more power, she tried to summon three demons from the underworld. She managed to call upon two of them but the third's summoning was interrupted by the Noxian police. The portal was closed and only a portion of the demon's power had come through. It blasted wildly throughout the room until it found shelter in one of Alice's dolls, Ragne.

No one knows who Alice fights for; whether it be for the full revival of her teacher Nicodemus, the Shadow Isles, or the underworld's demons that lend her their power, but one thing is certain, is anyone is going to destroy Annie it will be Alice.

Nicodemus, the Dark Puppeteer

Stats

Range: 500 (Ranged)

Passive: The Doll Maker's Mastery

Stitch and Sow: Each time Alice uses and ability or her dolls do damage to an enemy champion, she gains a stack of "Stitches"(Max. 10 + 5*current level)(Tracked on the resource bar since Alice is manaless).

Rising Demons: When Alice maxes her skills the skill's respective doll gain a bonus effect.

Jaka - Jaka gains Alice's critical strike chance. Instead of criting, Jaka basic attacks all nearby enemies for 75% of the normal damage(Non-crit damage).

Eri - Eri's heal is increased to 40% of the basic attack's damage and heals a nearby champion for 30% of the damage.

Ragne - When Ragne's second active is used she will also shoot a secondary shot at another nearby enemy champion(Will not shoot the same champion twice, prioritizes champions that have recently attacked Alice).

Pay the Price: The pact Alice has made with her demons is absolute. In order for her to use their power, Alice must give up a portion of her own strength. Alice's basic attacks do 10% less damage on hit(This does not apply to on-hit effects for items/buffs/etc.)

**Q: Jaka, The Warrior **

Passive: Alice summons Jaka, a doll created to rip Alice’s enemies to shreds. Jaka is melee and does 10/20/30/40/50(+50%Bonus AD) (+30%Total AP) in physical damage when he attacks.

Active:
First Cast: Alice pulls Jaka to her current location, dealing a small amount of damage and slowing enemies he hits.

Second Cast: Alice throws Jaka to a target location, dealing damage in an area around him. For the next few seconds Alice can use “High Strung.”

High Strung: Alice uses her puppets strings to pull herself to Jaka’s current location, slowing any enemies she hits along the way.

W: Eri, The Caster

Passive: Alice summons Eri, a doll created to assist Alice at all times. Eri only attacks when Alice does. Eri fires magical bolts that deal 10/20/30/40/50(+50%Total AP) (+45%Total AD). Every 9th/8th/7th/6th/5th attack that Eri does will instead heal Alice for 20% of the damage the attack would have done.

Active: Alice launches a bolt of dark magic into the air. When it lands at a target location it explodes, dealing a minor amount of damage and heavily slowing enemies caught in the blast.

Reactivating this ability will cause Eri to shoot a bolt of magic at the same location, dealing damage at the impact site and to all enemies it hits along the way. If Eri’s bolt does damage to anyone still effected by Alice’s slow then the slow duration is refreshed.

E: Ragne, The Sniper

Passive: Ragne is a doll that was created to finish off Alice’s foes, should they get too far away. Ragne’s attack speed is greatly reduced (35% of Alice’s Total Attack Speed). Her attack damage however, is increased (120% of Alice’s Total AD). Her attack range is slightly larger than Alice’s(550). Ragne’s basic attacks against targets lower than 40% of their max health are slowed by 30/35/40/45/50%.

Active:
First Cast: Ragne goes down on one knee, becoming immobilized and increasing her attack range by 10/15/20/25/30.

Second Cast: Ragne aims at a target champion and fires a shot that deals 20/30/40/50/60(+65% Bonus AD) and slows them for 50/55/60/65/70% for 2 seconds. The target champion also bleeds for 4/5/6/7/8%(+4% Total AD) of their missing health over three seconds.

R: Mesmira, The Doll of Change

Cost: 10 + 30% of Alice's max "Stiches"

Active: Mesmira is a cloth doll that Alice uses to empower herself and her other dolls. Activating this ability will cause the demons imprisoned in Mesmira to alternate, switching between three distinct demons. Each demon passively alters some aspect of Alice and/or her dolls. The range of Alice's tethers is always 10% larger than her current range. Alice has vision of any enemies tethered to her.

Demons:

Drak'lem
Alice - Alice now basic attacks by impaling Mesmira (In other words her normal basic attacks are no longer projectiles, inspired by voodoo dolls). Critical strikes against enemy champions are made with Alice's puppetry strings, binding the target champion to Alice, dealing 1% of their current health each second (The binding and the damage do not stack). Max 1/2/3 champions can be bound to Alice at once.

Venerosa
Alice - Casting a spell binds an allied champion to Alice, giving them increased health and mana regeneration. The same effect applies to Alice and increases for each ally bound to her. Max 1/2/3 champions can be bound to Alice at once.

Dolls - Alice's dolls gain increased health regeneration the lower their health is. The doll's basic attacks also apply a poison that slows their target by 0.7% for every 1% of their missing health (Ex. If a champion is missing 50% of their health then their slowed by 35%).

Ragnerock
Ragne - Ragne temporarily sacrifices her current form in order to empower Alice.

Alice - Gains bonus range on her auto attacks(25/40/55). Whenever Alice attacks a target she tethers herself to them. Alice's Ragne, The Sniper ability now becomes "Death from Afar". The longer the target is tethered to Alice the more damage they will take from Alice's next basic attack or "Death from Afar". Alice also gains increased movement speed when walking towards her tethered enemy.

Death from Afar
Passive: Alice's basic attacks against targets lower than 40% of their max health are slowed by 30/35/40/45/50%(Varies on the level of her E).

Active: Alice goes down on one knee, becoming immobilized, and fires a shot that deals (110% Bonus AD)(90% Total AP). Slows the target for 70% of their movement speed.

Idea for her ult: She turns an enemy champion into a helpless doll for a short time. Can be recast 2x in 1 minute. Not sure of the cooldown time.

I like this alot!

For an ultimate you could make something like the Ultimate on the Champ I designed. Nicodemus the Dark Puppeteer has an ultimate that essentially makes an enemy one of your minions temporarily. And first when I designed Nicodemus he was going to have abilities smiler to Alice but I could not come up with the abilities. I greatly enjoy your character design and tip my cap to you.

Also for the Physical design of Alice I would make her around the size of Annie and appear almost like Annies Goth skin.

For Background she could be Annies childhood friend or rival

I would like to start by saying I like the idea and think you have a good start.

For her ultimate, I propose the following: summon two or three minions, different than the ones above, that are stronger. One could play a support role (healing and restoring mana) while one could go on offense attacking anyone nearby, and the third could function as a tank to draw enemy attacks away from you. I find this to be a good ult for a minion user because it focuses on her ability to control minions to do various things.

For a passive: I agree with other posts about having the minions gain something at max rank.

this is an interesting concept, but how are you actually controlling the dolls? are they automated or do you have to direct all of their actions.

have you thought about if it was only one doll she used? or whenever you use a skill a new doll replaces the old one?

I like it, its like ap yorick.

Do the doll's health scale?

also, do u think she can be built ad, Ragne has some nice ad and good range, she has some decent cc, in lane sustain, and you specified a crit animation.

For Ragne, i think he should generate an aura or like a passive when he is activated to give Alice an attack speed bonus.

Garen: Alice gains 100 bonus range and 100/200/300 more health and Ragne gains 30% more ad (increasing scaling to 150% ad)

Doll Maker? you know, You could always think of an Ult that Mimic's a targeted champion's Ult?

Sicorz1/8/2014, 11:08:08 PM1 votes

maybe the passive could be that the Puppets gain a special ability once they are max lvl. and the R could make all 3 pop up and do a super thing :D
