###Lore

"Our world is corrupt."

"For years I lived in Shurima, among my people. We were not abusive to our world. We took what we needed and gave back. We lived in harmony. Among our people, it is a great honor to be given the title 'Voice of the Elements' and speak for nature itself. Like my ancestors before me, I was given the ceremonial totem pole and trained myself to speak with the earth."

"Unlike my ancestors, however, the voice I heard was crying out in pain. I was perplexed: Why was there such turmoil? We lived in harmony, what could hurt the earth so? The only solution was to embark on a spiritual journey. With naught but my totem and tomahawk, I ventured into the vast desert of Shurima. The thirst was maddening, the hunger was agonizing, but I persevered."

"Finally, at my utter limit, I had a vision from the spirits. A great hall of stone and magic. In it, elementals were bound in chains and forced to fight for petty humans solving disputes among tribes. I was moved to tears, seeing great beings of ice, earth, flame and spark reduced to nothing more than pawns in the game of humans. This had to stop."

"When I awoke, I was surrounded by people I had never seen before. Pale of skin, wearing ornate robes in the Shurima desert. They offered me food and water, but I knew better. I demanded they take me to their great hall so that I may fight against their tyranny. They called me a 'champion' in the making, but I knew better."

"I am Fangor. I am the voice of the elements. I cannot return to my tribe until the elements are at peace . . . and I will stop this madness."

Basic Stats:

  • High defensive scaling
  • Low damage potential
  • Ranged but encouraged to get into melee range.
  • Primarily a Support with focus on initiation and disrupting (CC)
  • Lulu-style mix of help ally/harm enemy decision making.

###Abilities

Reminder: I am bad at numbers and balancing, so 90% of this kit focuses on the kit's interaction and how it would play as opposed to straight numerical balancing. Generally think of these skills as having low-moderate AP scaling and medium-high mana costs.

| Keybind | Name | Effect | |- | Passive | Elemental Empowerment | Upon ability usage, Fangor strengthens his weapons. This stacks up to three times and gives a 22/44/66% slow based on stack count, along with dealing a small amount of bonus damage. This slow lasts one second if applied at range, two if applied in melee. | Q | Earth's Embrace | When cast on an ally: A shield of rocks is enacted around them, blocking 1/1/2/2/3 auto-attacks or single-target spells. This completely negates the on-hit effects. When cast on an enemy: The ground clamps down upon their feet, snaring them for a short time. | W | Flametongue | When cast on an ally: Pulsating waves of fire shoot off in an area around them. The closer the enemy is, the more damage dealt. When cast on an enemy: Sears an enemy, dealing damage over time and applying grievous wounds for the duration. | E | Aquatic Grasp| When cast on an ally: A torrent of water gushes around the ally, healing them and knocking back all enemies in a small radius. When cast on an enemy: Encases the target in a ball of water. While in the ball, allied spells/abilities cannot target the trapped ally and the affected champion has reduced armor. The ball breaks when an ally attacks it 3/3/4/4/5 times. | R | Totemic Storm | Channeled: Fangor slams his totem in the ground, losing his melee attack but summoning a lightning storm in a large radius emanating from the totem. In the storm, allies have greatly increased HP regeneration and movement speed while enemies have reduced sight and are periodically struck by lightning once every 6 seconds. Every second active increases the mana drain. Fangor must pick up his totem to cancel the effect.

###Play-style/Context

Fangor is meant to be a champion who is always calculating the risk-versus-reward of an engagement. The support style is more akin to a "burst support", for lack of a better word. When an engagement happens, Fangor is meant to unload almost all of his abilities as soon as he can . . . well, if it was that simple. When a fight breaks out, Fangor must make a split decision on every single ability at his disposal and figure which one is better suited to the engagement. A good Fangor will blow all three abilities on one enemy. A great Fangor will save his skills for just the right time and apply them exactly where they need to be.

In lane phase, Fangor works extremely well at counter-initiation or buff-heavy supports. When an enemy engages, Aquatic Grasp and Flametongue greatly discourages encroaching enemies from staying close to the support, as this 1-2 combo will both push away enemies and deal periodic fire damage. Earth's Embrace also prevents supports who have strong "one-hit-wonder" effects if timed correctly, negating that clutch hook or flare that would otherwise spell death. Alternatively, Fangor's strong mix of anti-buff tools means that things such as clutch-heals or life-saving barriers are negated for that all-in attack.

In teamfights, Fangor excels at follow-up initiation. While Fangor can catch one or two enemies out with a well-timed bubble, snare or slow, he works best when following the tank who started the fight. Totemic Storm serves as the perfect tool to buff up a decent initiation to an amazing one while also cutting off enemies from fighting in certain areas. Perfect for ambushing a team at baron or in a cramped zone. Late-game the mana costs are not nearly as big of an issue, meaning that Fangor should be applying his skills left-and-right to maximize effects at all time, be it ally or enemy.

Playing against Fangor, one has to focus on chipping away at his summoned defenses. Fangor's kit revolves around denying hits, meaning that poke supports or carries prevent him from keeping defenses stacked on his ally or enemy. Along with this, Fangor's skills are all very "clutch". If one were to wait out his effects or quickly get rid of them, Fangor's effectiveness drops rather greatly. In a teamfight, one must be constantly aware of Fangor's debuffing/buffing and get rid of them as soon as possible. As long as Fangor's abilities are carefully kept in check, he is reduced to little more than a walking ultimate.

| Fangor does well against | Fangor Struggles against | |- | Fangor excels at dealing with enemy supports who are focused on one-hit initiations or burst attackers. Supports like LeonaThreshAnnie will have their initiation tools overridden or directly ignores while supports like SorakaJannaMorgana will have a more difficult time out-buffing their carries. | Conversely, Fangor does very poorly against supports with a focus on poke and rapid-fire application. SonaNamiLulu are all champions who can quickly disperse Fangor's defenses while also constantly buffing or unbuffing enemies. Fangor also has a unique weakness to characters who don't need to target allies to apply buffs, such as KarmaLux. | Enemies who have strong, single spell burst damage. Champions like ZedVeigarKassadin could waste a full rotation or a single, very important spell upon a shield. Along with that, Fangor's buffing capabilities mean that getting close to the carry and sticking to them is a fair bit more difficult than it is in other cases. | Poke-heavy or sustained champions like EzrealRyzeSwain will have absolutely no problem quickly breaking through the buffs while getting right to the characters. Along with that, these characters are rarely close enough to have Fangor's defenses affect them to the point of danger. In this regard, they're going to be some of the biggest threats Fangor has when protecting his teammates.

###Personality/Sample Quotes

It seems too much like Udyr But may not be bad if it connected to Udyr in Lore

Based on the looks and skills, sounds like a Udyr|Olaf|Nami|Brand take, all rolled into one.
