[Champion Concept] Hannibal, the Hextech Hologram
What's cooler than a robot? A FRICKIN HOLOGRAM, MANNNN. I just like the idea of having a champ that's not really there. You'll see how this plays out in his kit.
Hannibal was created for good (maybe a collaboration between some Piltover inventors like Heimy and Jayce?) and fights for Demacia. Appearance-wise, he's a tall, handsome dark-haired guy (lol maybe modeled after me Jayce?) in an impeccable tuxedo. His character is a witty, dark-humoured/sarcastic one, with lots of computer jokes.
(I'll just go out there and say, maybe he's modeled after Anonymous, cause it occurred to me that's what Anon. looks and acts like even though I didn't consciously do it)
Passive: Reboot
- Upon taking fatal damage, Hannibal's projected image retreats into his hextech core, which falls to the ground and goes into lockdown, gaining 30% bonus armor + MR. His core takes 6 seconds to reboot. If the core is not destroyed in this period, Hannibal is rebooted with 50% of max HP and Mana. (180s CD)
Q: Virtual Entity
-
(Passive) Hannibal is a hologram, meaning he can allow things to pass through him. Hannibal's collision radius is only as large as his hextech core. This means projectiles (such as spears, hooks, skill-shotted snares, grabs, bombs, large arrows/rockets etc) and AOE spells (such as Tormented Soil, Pillar of Flame, Singed's glue, etc) only affect him if they hit his core, which is a little smaller than Teemo. The core is a ball, but the collision radius is a column under and above the floating ball.
-
To clarify, basic attacks still damage Hannibal (with on-hit effects etc) when they hit his projected image.
-
Activate Virtual Entity to gain a shield based on AP. (He could just add armor to his projected image to illustrate his shield)
-
(Imagine you're playing Nidalee: who's easier to spear, a fully grown Cho'Gath, or a Teemo? Smaller collision radius = harder to hit.)
W: Photon Bomb
- Hannibal deploys a photon bomb that detonates after 2 seconds. Enemies in a large radius take magic damage, and anyone in the immediate vicinity is blinded briefly.
- (Sort of a tribute to Heimy's old grenade, but he places the bomb instead of tossing it.)
E: Dodgeball
- Hannibal pulls out his core (this isn't as dirty as it sounds lol) and skill-shots it, in effect dashing to a target location. The first enemy hit is slowed and takes combined physical and magic damage.
- The maximum range of Dodgeball is determined by a ratio of Hannibal's AP.
- As with most dashes, Hannibal's ball can be intercepted mid-flight by grabs/snares etc.
R: Software Upgrade
- Hannibal upgrades his core's software, permanently increasing his AP by 5/7.5/10 and spell vamp by 0.50/0.75/1.00%. (160/150/140s CD)
- This activates Reboot (regardless if it's on cooldown or not) and adds 60s to any existing cooldown on Reboot. Hannibal is defenseless while rebooting, and can be injured or destroyed. If he is destroyed while upgrading, the upgrade is not successful and Reboot's cooldown is not affected.
- For 20/30/40 seconds after a successful Software Upgrade, Hannibal gains 20% cooldown reduction on his Q, W, and E abilities, as well as greatly increased Mana regeneration.
Notes:
-
For his recall animation, Hannibal bounces his core like a basketball, jumping higher with each bounce until recalling.
-
An obvious skin for Hannibal would be Gym Teacher Hannibal, where he's in a silly track suit and his core is either a dodgeball or a basketball.
