[Champion Concept] Killian, Magus of the Sands
Forgive the lack of specific numbers. I'm more conceptual than actual number crunching. I could probably elaborate if "decent damage" isn't enough of a description but overall this is more of a lore base than a gameplay basis.

Lore
"Sand does not destroy. It only buries."
The Shurima desert was once home to a prosperous, ancient kingdom...now it is but a sandy wasteland. Far and away, in a small village, a young man was born to an aged couple. Killian, as they christened him, was told of his heritage the moment he could understand: He was a Sand Magus. The last, in fact. Royal advisory blood ran through his veins and he could bring forth a golden age to Shurima. His parents, however, died early into his childhood. Age had claimed them.
Killian wasted no time. He flung himself into the hundreds of tomes at his disposal the moment he could read. Days turned to weeks, weeks to months, months to years. He rarely left his home, absorbing himself in every little facet he could of Shurima's long and once-glorious history. During this time his mastery over the mystic sands only deepened, the young boy scrawling painful tattoos into his arms using Shurimian-containing sand. By the time he left his squalor, the boy had become a young man. All his ancient tomes, read. All his mystic arts, perfected.
However, an advisor is nothing without a king...or should one say queen? Killian has journeyed to the League of Legends to find the last heir of the Shurima throne, noticeable only by an ancient and mythical glaive that is said to give the owner undisputed rule over the sands of Shurima. Only after that person is found will Killian begin the arduous task of turning Shurima from purgatory to paradise...
Abilities
Killian's Abilities have...
- Moderate Mana Costs. He is not a spam-heavy character.
- Moderate-to-Long cooldowns (sans Q). Killian players should be planning and timing their abilities.
- Represent a character who starts the fight or sets up the team for success. "First in, last out."
- Are heavy WIP and require tuning and balancing. This is just a general idea of how Killian would play.
Passive- Mystic Empowerment: Part of Killian's ability power is added to his auto-attack damage. About 10-25%, theoretically. Enough to be a threat but not enough to make him too powerful. Should encourage staying in a fight and auto-attacking while also supplementing the long cooldowns of most of his skills.
Q- Sandstorm: Killian blasts a small arc in front of him, damaging enemies and applying a debuff that increases auto-attack damage dealt by Killian. The damage is low but the arc's cast time and animation make it incredibly easy to hit.
W- Shurimian Burial: Casts a field upon the ground, slowing enemies and dealing small damage. Should a unit (Ally OR Enemy) stands still upon the field for three seconds, that unit sinks beneath the sand, becoming untargetable and dealing damage if it's an enemy. Low damage, moderate slow, increasing levels improves size of field.
E- Sand Bulwark: Raises a massive obelisk of sand, blocking most skillshots and movement. The wall itself can be destroyed but it has a moderately high HP pool. Leveling this skill improves wall health, cooldown and wall size. (At max, about the length of two Trundle pillars next to each other)
R- Colossus of the Sands: Killian becomes untargetable before emerging as a massive colossus of the sands. In this form Killian suffers a large debuff to attack and movement speed but gains bonuses depending on his ability levels. Killian's abilities change when morphed. Lasts 30/60/90 seconds.
Colossus Abilities:
Q- Seismic Punch: Passively, Killian gains increased passive strength in Colossus form. Active, Killian's next attack smashes a wide area around the target, slowing and reducing magic resistance. Small debuff but can be consistently reapplied.
W- Mirage Vortex: Passively, Killian reduces the movement speed and attack speed penalty while in Colossus form. Active, Killian roots himself in place, draining mana but pulling enemies to him. Killian cannot attack and stuns himself and all units around him for one second after the channel concludes. Enemies not close enough are not stunned.
E- Ancient Strength: Passive, Killian gains bonus magic resistance/armor in Colossus form. Active, Killian places a shield around himself. If the shield breaks, Killian frees himself from any crowd control effects he is under and deals damage around him.
R- Deactivate Colossus Form: Killian deactivates Colossus form early. Reduces the cooldown of his ultimate by half of the remaining Colossus time.
Killian's Strengths:
- Strong teamfighting presence.
- Defensive Mid option for highly aggressive/assassin champions.
- Unique skills mean Killian is a selective pick with little champion overlap.
- Passive tankiness allows for some room to build damage/utility items.
- Sand Colossus allows transition from utility defensive champion to initiation tank champion.
Killian's Weaknesses:
- Lacks high damage and hard CC pre-6. Most ganks will likely fail.
- No instant gap-closer/escape. Flash is a necessity.
- Killian is punishing: Missing an ability or being caught without ult will result in death.
- Must be selective in leveling his skills or else risks weaker Colossus passive bonuses.
- Team must be knowledgeable with Killian. Failing to capitalize on his abilities will result in sub-par reward.
