[Champion Concept] Wiggins, the Element of Danger

So, I've seen a boatload of 'elementalist' champions that control the 4 different elements. Those are great, but it got me to thinking: what if there was a champion who controlled actual elements? Not fire and ice etc, but elements of the periodic table like hydrogen and plutonium and arsenic. I'll admit I was a total chemistry nerd in high school, and I went to university for chemical engineering, so I do know a fair bit about chemistry and the periodic table. Nothing in Wiggins' kit is very deep chemistry, it's mostly high school stuff, but there are a couple of things I'll explain just for clarity.

##Wiggins, the Element of Danger

###Appearance/Character:

  • If Singed is a mad chemist, Wiggins is off the charts insane. He gleefully blows things up and uses the power of the elements to dominate the Fields of Justice. I imagine Wiggins' personality as a mix of Ziggs and Singed. He is average height with brown hair, much younger than Singed, and is amused by everything. He's always asking questions about stuff, like a true scientist should.

  • Wiggins uses a sword for basic attacks, and uses the various elements in his kit to his advantage.

###Abilities:

####Passive: Depleted Uranium Blade

  • Wiggins' blade is hardened with depleted Uranium, granting his basic attacks 5% armor penetration.

  • Every 92 (the atomic number of Uranium) seconds, Wiggins' next basic attack irradiates the target (because Uranium is radioactive), dealing 238.0289 (the atomic weight of Uranium) magic damage over 5 seconds.

  • Basic attacks reduce this cooldown by 1 second, but it is not otherwise affected by cooldown reduction.

Q: Helium Balloon (dash/jump)

  • Wiggins takes a running leap, rapidly inflating a Helium balloon that carries him over walls and terrain.
  • For (2/4/6/8/10) seconds after he lands, Wiggins' movement speed is increased by (1/2/3/4/5 + 0.1AP)% because the Helium balloon is less dense than air, effectively reducing Wiggins' weight for the duration.
  • Wiggins can release the balloon in this period, activating the ability again to skill-shot the balloon toward an enemy. If an enemy is hit by the balloon, they take (10/20/30/40/50 + 0.3AD) physical damage. Wiggins loses the remainder of the movement speed buff if he skill-shots the balloon.

W: Alkali Metals (targeted AOE)

  • Not to be confused with Akali Metals, Alkali Metals are dangerously reactive when exposed to oxygen or water. Type "Potassium in water" into youtube for a neat video.
  • Wiggins tosses down a chunk of an Alkali Metal, which after (0.5/0.4/0.3/0.2/0.1) seconds reacts violently from exposure to moisture. Enemies in the radius of the explosion take (20/40/60/80/100 + 0.6AD) physical damage and are knocked slightly outward, similar to Ziggs' Satchel Charge.
  • Leveling this ability upgrades the Alkali Metal Wiggins uses from Sodium (Na) to Potassium (K) to Rubidium (Rb) to Cesium (Cs) to Francium (Fr), increasing the damage dealt and radius of the explosion, and decreasing the reaction time.

E: Magnesium Flare (targeted AOE/vision)

  • Wiggins fires a Magnesium Flare which burns with intense brilliance, illuminating a portion of the map as it passes over.
  • Here's a picture of a strip of Magnesium burning:
  • The flare travels in an arc for 1-3 seconds and then lands on the ground, burning brightly for (4/4.5/5/5.5/6 - (1-3 seconds flight time)) seconds, dealing (5/10/15/20/25 + 0.2AP) magic damage per second to enemies in a small radius. In a larger radius, enemies facing the bright flare are blinded (the blind lasts as long as they are facing the flare, a minimum of 1 seconds and a maximum of 5 seconds, depending on the level of the skill and how far away from himself Wiggins shot the flare).
  • Lee Sin is immune to this blinding effect.

R: Carbon Copy (clone)

  • Wiggins summons an elemental Carbon Copy of himself to fight for his team. The copy has 100% of his maximum HP, attack speed, and movement speed, and (20/40/60 + 0.05AP)% of his AD.
  • The copy, made of Anthracite/[Carbon Fiber](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carbon_(fiber)/[Diamond](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diamond), has (0.25/0.5/0.75(armor))% of Wiggins' armor, and (0.25/0.5/0.75(magic resist))% of his magic resist.
  • The copy attacks whatever Wiggins attacks, or it can be controlled using the Alt key. Carbon Copy does not apply on-hit effects or duplicate armor effects or auras (sunfire cape/thornmail etc), and cannot heal or be healed in any way. The copy dies if Wiggins dies, or after (25/30/35) seconds.

###Additional Notes:

  • Wiggins is intended as a jungler or top-laner, as his Q gives him good mobility/gank potential, and his W and E are decent forms of crowd control. Carbon Copy gives Wiggins a solid presence in ganks and/or team fights (pun intended).

  • I intentionally made Wiggins as a hybrid champion so that there would be tons of ways to build him. Building attack speed will really help his passive, while building AD will work with most of his kit. AP Wiggins would have different advantages over an AD Wiggins, like increased movement from Helium Balloon, extra damage from Magnesium Flare and improved durability for Carbon Copy, while AD Wiggins would deal more damage with Helium Balloon, Alkali Metals and Carbon Copy. Further, if a person decided to go full tank Wiggins and stack pure armor/mr, Wiggins' Carbon Copy would be virtually indestructible (although it wouldn't deal very much damage).

  • Apart from questioning everything, Wiggins' joke could be "Elementary, my dear."

  • As usual, I'd love to hear what everyone thinks of Wiggins. Questions and feedback are always welcome.

  • If you liked Wiggins, check out some of my other champion concepts here.

  • P.S. If you understand my reference, let me know in the comments and I'll probably add you in game if you get it right (if you know it, you definitely know it; if you don't, don't even bother).

His name is too close to Ender's.

also, do I sense an "All of the above; RiotGirl Pls" meme coming up?

As another Chemistry nerd, I really like this idea! I'm not the best when it comes to balancing or "OP"ness or anything like that, but I'd LOVE to see something like this if the numbers worked out nicely.

I really like the abilities for this champion especially with all the chemistry involved. But I had a couple of questions. When Wiggen is using his Q does that mean that he can be hit by Yasuos ult? For his Alkali metals when you mean reaction time does that mean cool down or time for the move to go off after it is used? Last I like the idea of having something like his ult as his ult but it seems a little two close to either a shack or yorick ult. What about if the champion dies then the clone can take its place as the real champion? so the clone and the hero switch places. Once again I do like his overall concept.
