IronStylus and Relaunch Team. Pantheon VU, With *Art*

This thread is already in the Miscellaneous section so I thought I'd fix my mistake and put it in the right section. Hope that's not a problem (new to this forum life)

Alright so I spent about a week drawing and concepting VU ideas for Pantheon. Now, I am not a good artist at all but i gave it my best shot. And I will love to share it with you guys at Riot, and the community, and to get some feedback.

They say at Riot they like to share their ideas with one another when concepting a new VU, champion, etc. That it multiplies the creativity and quality of product that comes out of that amazing process. I just hope its not too conceited of me to want to join (in a way) or just share in that process. Heck I'd be honored if they were to take these exact ideas and actually use

** General Notes:**

  • No Sandals. Just got rid of them. Mantheon shows no toes
  • Tried to give him a more "Mt. Targon" feel that Leona and Diana have already established
  • Glaive Warrior Pantheon is great as is. Best skin at the moment in my opinion, didn't feel the need to touch it

Classic Pantheon

  • Generally not a fan of helmet "mohawks" but i think I've changed it in a way that now i kinda like it

Myrmidon Pantheon

  • With this concept I didn't want any exaggerated look so i googled Myrmidon for influence and went with a more grounded look

Ruthless Pantheon

  • Went with a more gladiator feel so i google gladiator helmets for influence
  • In this concept i made him a lot beefier because, come on, this skin should be the one to show off the Mantheon if nothing else
  • Yes thats hair in the back

Perseus Pantheon

  • With this skin I felt Perseus was just a name they used back then, not really having any real influence on the skin so I took the liberty of just really trying to make him cool and a little closer to Targonian with it

Full Metal Pantheon

  • Have always felt disappointed by the model of this skin. The potential for the badass-ness of this skin is off the charts ( just look at the splash art), So i almost completely re-designed it with my own concept

  • Also had a friend ( who actually is a real artist) draw my design of Full Metal Pantheon

Well I hope you guys like it and want to discuss it and really give this enough attention so that the wonderful guys at Riot come here, give it a look, and talk with me about it : )

Reviving this thread.

I agree with the popularity Pantheon gets, he sure does deserve a VU (4 years and he still looks pathetic?) forget about the none popular champions the ones people use should come first in my opinion and everything about Pantheon needs a rework done.

Their is a long list of champions who could use a job done on them and I have to ask why Riot doesnt intensely focus on theirs to get 5 VU/Reworks a month or two.

Wow. You do not know how much I agree with you. The amount of VUs needed, and the pace at which they're being released, is not good. The thing I love most about this game IS the VUs ( you can tell by this thread), and it sucks that production is immensely slow. But man is the quality amazing. I'll just have to wait :(

I only start playing a few weeks ago. however I am surprised that Champion VU are not getting done, or even being listed as "we are designing VU/Rework list". Although with this surprise I am delighted to see that they release news everyday about nerfs and buffs, reworks like Soraka.

I dont understand the Soraka getting priority over Champions suchas Pantheon..(Urgot looks monstrous) Pantheon has a bad ability kit, when I play him compared to newer champions his Kit feels outdated to the new ways of the new Champions.

I also feel like Riot are just trying to ignore Pantheons problems of needing a new kit, because they release Dragonslayer Skin, sadly that doesnt change the fact that his ultimate sucks, E Q and ranges are disastrous also for a full attacking Champion. another example, realistically his spear should be like Nidalee' spear but becoming stronger the further away the Champion target is..

a pretty skin doesnt suffice for me :( Full metal Pantheon looks very enjoyable because badass yes, but mainly because that is how he should look in 2014, because it isnt 2010 anymore.

He's classified as an assassin but can't do what other assassins can do (Zed, Akali, Leblanc)

The Dragonslayer skin could look so much better AFTER a VU

I meant your one, minus some of the Halo pads on his thighs and knees. the upper body great lower body.. doesn't make much sense, unless he is an Iron Man.

I just tried playing with Pantheon to see if I could justice buying Dragon salyer SKin for him. But he falls off SO bad late-game I just do not see the point of keeping him, let alone buying a pretty skin for him.

While I don't have a problem with your redesign of the base skin for the most part, you forgot that Riot only deviates from the current skin designs if they were only recolors before. Usually they just up the poly count of the models since doing a drastic redesign of skins that were already purchased by people who liked them originally would likely create a lot of backlash.

As an aside note: ruthless pantheon is directly referencing He-Man and your redesign kinda throws the baby out with the bathwater.

I dont agree. Look at all the VUs they've done. Even the base skins dont have the same design it did before the relaunch. They may stick to the same theme but they definitely change up the skin a bit. They almost all get changed. Plus IronStylus said he wanted to give Pantheon more of a look that shows he can relate to Leona and Diana. Still, feedback is always appreciated, thank you

I should have clarified that the base skins do tend to change, usually drastically, but the skins you purchase don't usually. They only do with a complete character overhaul ala Trundle and Karma. Since your VU doesn't really change pantheon's theme nor change his character model drastically, I doubt the Riot would change the design of the skins already established. Myrmidon Pantheon is the only contender since its a recolor.

The skins you purchase do change, mostly. Look at Nasus, Garen, Master Yi. It doesnt have to be a recolor for them to change it, well not all the time. But I see what you mean
