Ahri- A dangerous creature. [Fan Writing]
In my time at the Institute, I've done much research on many of the champions. None rival the enigma that is Ahri, however. Many simply consider her a beautiful, divine fox-woman. Others insist she's more dangerous. Ahri tells the institute that she has regret for the lives she had to take and that it was only a recent time ago. The official transcript of her judgement was never released, however. I've attempted to speak with the Council of Ionia but most of them, again, refuse to comment.
My search seemed at an end until a council member who shall remain nameless insisted I check the Ionian Archives. In the Institute's Ionia section, which contain some of the oldest writings and legends, I found rather chilling discoveries.
For one thing, the tale of an essence-consuming fox woman stretches further back than one would expect. Thousands of years, even past the rune wars. Further more she did not merely consume essence to become more human. As her power enhanced, she needed to feed more to further her gains. What began as one or two old men soon became three or four gentlemen, then near entire villages of young men disappearing. Only to be found as husks, entire villages of widows existing in ancient times.
As my inspections went deeper into time's depths, I discovered that this "creature" loved to feed on the young and magically inclined. Not an important note until one considers that Ahri was welcomed to the League quite easily. Summoners who have summoned and spent time around Ahri are shown to become lethargic, sluggish, even losing some of their summoning prowess due to "unknown" means.
The most chilling thing, however, was an old nursery rhyme forgotten to the ages:
Nine Tails
Nine tails, nine tails, can you all see? Nine tails, nine tails, she's hunting me.
Claw and fang, she'll cut you deep. With claw and fang, she can easily creep.
One, two, three, you can no longer flee.
Four, five, six, you've succumbed to her tricks.
Seven, eight, nine, upon you she will dine.
Nine tails, nine tails, another soul to take. Nine tails, nine tails, upon your corpse she'll rake.
Nine tails, nine tails, forever on the chase. Nine tails, nine tails, her prey is the human race.
It's a simplistic rhyme and it was likely created on a whim but the message is clear: She is not going to stop. Suddenly, it makes sense that Ahri wanted to join the League. This is a chicken coop for her, hundreds of eager morsels to devour upon. I would not be surprised if the high summoners even made a pact with her. She may feast but they may use her in League matches.
Yet many don't know how dangerous she is. Time and time again, I hear young summoners fawn over her. How easily they're drawn to her with but a simple wink or a charming wave of the hand. For all their knowledge they don't know she will swallow them whole and spit out the bones.
I beg you, whoever reads this, STAY AWAY FROM AHRI. She is not just a cunning fox. She is a vicious predator and a huntress of human flesh. I know for a fact that the Institute will not stop her feasting, not when she is so useful to them as a combatant and a unique creature...
but I refuse to let others become a mere morsel for the most dangerous predator the League is home to. Only this predator gets to run free among the sheep.
