Gambit: Was alerted to an investigation going on about TOXIC BEHAIVIOR. Guy gets suspended 8 days later.

Team Impulse: XWX gets banned as the investigation starts. No official ruling given other than the suspension.

And XWX's was for Elo boosting. I feel like Elo boosting isn't as bad to the game as toxicity.

I think Riot just doesn't want TiP to beat TSM in the playoffs or C9 in the Worlds tourney. But that's just a possibility.

Edit: What I mean is that, despite having a good idea of what Forg1ven had done, Riot didn't ban him until 8 days after Gambit was alerted about probable misconduct.

Well at least they're doing their job right, and still gives them the same treatment as those who got suspended & complain at Boards.

Yeah, but it kinda messes up competitive integrity when one team has about 10 days to get subs together, but another gets 3.

Forg1ven got an 8 day investigation, then a suspension. XWX got an immediate suspension, and then an investigation.

from the way it was put, it sounds like they asked him, he confirmed he did it, and now they are investigating how far it goes. i could be wrong though.

What I don't get is what more "investigation" there needs to be re XWX. He has admitted to the misconduct.

The only thing I can guess is that it may relate to his alleged duo queuing with Rush.

But unless XWX is trying to protect Rush, Rito should just deliver the sentence.

First, the bigger issue is the ability to list a new sub. Amazing was interviewed recently and asked about how he felt with Xpeke listing two junglers as their official Origen subs. His response was that because it is expensive to house extra players and not just the team many teams just list troll substitute players that they aren't going laying but want to help out with recognition so maybe the guys can find a team. If Impulse has to play with current subs and can't add one then they are in trouble if they don't have a mid sub.

That being said riot just did beginning of ban waves for elo boosting and xwx admitted to misconduct so they may have had less to investigate. Also if forgiven was reported in 70% of his games Nd they were valid reports why did the automated system not ban the account?

I think Impulse has that Gate guy playing mid. I'm not sure though.

I thought that was their new support, did they switch him to mid, or do I just have no idea what the new support's name is?

Gate was a mid laner, but you take whatever you get as a sub. So he was support. I have no idea who the support will be if Gate is the mid laner.

Adrian will be back next week, and Gate will sub mid lane according the the team's web site.

I dont understand why that is i play with some kid somtime named midiorifeed and he trolls hard core follows you around puts walls up to let the other team kill you and he does all this if he dosnt get mid and he still playing. How come they don't ban a account like this kid instead.

I don't like TiP. Elo boosting is not only a scummy thing to do but promotes toxic players into a position to become even more toxic. Boosting destroys players on the opposite team, falling destroys players on their own team along with the general toxic attitude they bring while showing off their rank that they didn't earn. The whole thing is disgusting.

2: This is not saying elo boosting is okay. This is saying toxicity is worse, and that Gambit actually got time to prepare for a different lineup.

I don't believe Toxicity is worse. It's a matter of opinion and perspective I guess. As far as prep time every team is expected to have reserves at any time. You never know when an emergency will hit, any pro team not prepared for such an emergency has no one to blame but themselves. In this case it involved blatant toxic behavior and disregard for the community that supports him. Not only was it not an emergency, it was brought upon his team by their own actions.

I think toxicity is worse because it directly worsens 4 players' experiences in the game. Elo boosting, on the other hand, is basically the same as a pro player smurfing on Twitch, except, at the end, somebody gets that boosted accout.

Boosting worsens the experience of every player they run into on their way up as well as every player the account owner runs into on the way back down, and if you think players that pay to be boosted aren't going to bring a toxic attitude along with their rank that they were willing to pay for at the expense of others you'd be sorely mistaken.

Also smurfing is a scummy thing to do as well, especially in excess even if it is allowed.

Boosting, at least, makes the players just think that the booster is a good player on that champ, or got lucky, or something else like that.
