He's ugly AF. The other analyst make an actual effort to look clean and presentable while this dude sits there with an oily Asian bowlcut and zits all over his face. I'm guessing he showers like once a month judging by the way he looks. Please don't ever let him on the desk.

Did you ever see him on the analyst desk ? Competitive sport and esport NEED trash talking to be enjoyable, it creates hype. Outside of this he's a real class act. If you don't know anything don't say anything.

Playground games and advertising need hype, commentary and analysis don't. I'd list humor, insight, exposition, and acknowledgement of bias/when you don't know something as good things for an analyst desk, but trash talking not so much. Trash talk is fine between teams, but unless you count things like analyzing C9 as a bad team compared to the worlds teams based on their performance and skills pre boot camp (damn they've made impressive improvement, their games look much more cohesive than they did vs NA opponents) trash talk then there isn't much place for it in professional analyst work.

Also trash talk is particularly low class when you don't have the skill to back it up. I'm not going to trash talk diamond players bc unless they were boosted I almost certainly can't beat them. Why should someone be trash talking teams that make it to playoffs after getting eliminated themselves (from what is generally considered the weakest group in the tournament to boot)?

You've never seen a professional wrestling match then. Commentary hype makes a lot of the matches even more exciting, and draws someone in.

I imagine that's an apt description and if you're talking strictly commentary I think that's a really good point actually. I've never watched a wrestling match given that I prefer more traditional theater, but I hadn't thought of this point and it's really good. However, I was trying to specifically address the analyst position rather than commentary/casting. I think that it might be fitting for commentary or hype, but it's not analysis or discussing the merit of play so in my opinion it doesn't belong under the title of analyst. However, the general lol community may have different expectations and class shouldn't be the deciding factor when marketing a product, so you can honestly call it whatever as long as it sells (which would be a good argument to support your position, although not one I much like because it would leave me w/ no true analyst perspective if hype talk is what sells).

I think Crumbz job is pretty much just to bash anyone who is the underdog. At least that's all I am seeing him get paid for.

C9 was the underdog coming into this and Crumbz supported them big time. Monte seems like more of the underdog hater to me cause he thinks every western team(or NA team at least) is trash.

Maybe I got them mixed up. One of the them pretty much bashes all the western teams and says how far superior the Asian teams are... and that's it. There's no real analysis going on besides, "they are better".

It's like wow, way to actually do some research and provide some feedback on lane match ups and team synergy rather than just hop on the bandwagon of everyone's perception.

I disagree entirely.

If you watched the NA/EU LCS, the LCK, and the LPL prior to the Juggernaut changes, you would consider all the NA and EU teams a complete joke. They were playing completely different games, and things would have been exactly like last year, with just Korea/China having an actual viable chance.

NA and EU have been complete jokes prior to the Juggernaut patch.

However, this patch has dramatically changed the game and many of the EU/NA teams have handled the change better.

But yeah, the mechanics and overall game management of the NA/EU teams was pretty awful. I strongly suspect that the Juggernaut changes were made after analysis of NA/EU teams and are in part a "handicap" for Korean/Chinese teams and were intentionally chosen.

While I am cheering for Cloud 9, if you watched every NA/EU and LCK game, you wouldn't consider NA/EU anything but trash in comparison. They were just that different.

I don't see how you can compare. Every team in LCK plays just like the other. Every region has their own playstyle. And I don't know how you can claim that EU was "Different" when Origin and Fanatic were dominating in the shortest matches of the season for all regions.

After the turnout, a lot of players at Worlds that were supposed to be in the top 5 Seeds were let downs. GodV is a joke, and that has nothing to do with Juggernauts.

IEM Katowice and MSI anyone? TSM won/Fnatic had a very strong showing?? Can't call them a joke or trash, look at worlds now. 2 of the "weaker" western teams are 3-0, china not doing well, korea still showing signs of weakness where they can easily be beaten....
