Why is CLG the #1 seed?

TSM placed first in the Spring split and second in the Summer split. CLG placed first in the Summer Split but tied for fifth in the Spring split.

So why is CLG the #1 NA seed going into worlds?

They won the playoffs. The winner of the playoffs gets #1, it doesn't matter what you did in spring or summer.

The logic is that the best team from the most recent tourney should be the top team for the region. I would agree.

TSM won by points which correlates from what your talking about sitcom. (from how well they did in spring and summer playoffs) and thats why they are 2nd.

They won the playoffs over Tsm 3-0. If you win the summer split you get auto qualified as the first seed of your region regardless of how it went in the springsplit.
