...now I do appolgize if this question is answered in the sea of LCS content... however I am wondering which patch version they are using (at any point in time) for a LCS match.
For example 5.2 just came out this week. Does that mean they are using 5.2 on Thursday's games? Or do they wait until it is "more stable" before use?....
We typically are a bit behind on patches. Right now, we're playing on patch 5.1. From section 8.4 of the LCS rulebook:
The 2015 Season will be played on the current patch available on the Live Service, once a sufficient testing period has occurred. Changes to the competitive patch will be at the discretion of the LCS.
As a guideline, the competitive patch will be updated a full calendar week after its release onto the live server. A patch will not be implemented if a week of games or a playoff round has started.
Well I just watched today's LCS action and noticed in the Elements vs Cop Wolves match that Ahri had Deathfire Grasp... So clearly they are not using live patches at moment....
