Pickem Needs Real Rewards... Otherwise GGWP

Worlds Pick'em | League of Legends World Championship 2015

This bracket pick idea is a good one by RIOT... but other then getting it perfect (which last year only 10 did) there isn't any "second place" or inbetween rewards. Basically .0001%~ of the population will get something... everyone else will get (effectively) nothing.

Yes there is 2 Summoner's icons... one for everyone and one for 32pts but we(me) don't need icons we need skins (DJ Sona Summoner ICON FTW).

In summary... we need more rewards for the Pickem event otherwise we aren't really getting anything: I have better chance of winning a state (not Mega Million/Powerball) lottery then a perfect bracket. Either lower-tier grade skins or straight up RP would be nice. The amount of points to unlock the rewards could still be hard to get alas nothing is harder then perfect of course.

EDIT: BTW if your asking "Why this matters?": A better question is why the majority of LoL playerbase, which generally doesn't follow Esports, should care about the Pickem event. In the interest of player engagement there needs to be a reason for people to care. Otherwise only hard core people will care and everyone else is /afk

MORE EDIT: I guess as long as you get more points then Phreak that is reward enough LoL. Alas for the "general player" here I suppose not so much...

I agree. I think the top bracket shouldn't even be championship riven but either a new unique skin just for this event (Champion Gragas etc), and have championship riven be like 1 match off. DJ Sona could be 2 matches off, and a mysteryskin would be 3 matches off.

the poro icons would be the same.

It's just a small little thing their doing, I doubt that many people even know about it.

I agree those rewards are pretty uninspiring especially if you get all or most of your picks right. They can do so much better which makes taking even 1 minute to pick your winners pretty laughable.

Edit: I don't think too many people JUST care about bragging rights...

Well, no. This basically required no investment from me to participate. They shouldn't just hand out free shit because I pressed a button. There's bragging rights and an Icon for those who get mostly right, and anyone who just presses go on the client gets an equally adorable (if less special) icon. If you get perfect in your free bracket, you get rewarded. If not, well you didn't invest anything into this.
