i mean, i've never watched a full pro game like LCS or Worlds and me as an avarage player im still confused about huge nerfs on champs that for me are not a big problem, like shen or reksai nerfs....
instead we get crazy damage champs... (yasuo zed riven and fizz im watching at you)

you can be the casual average player and not care about the pro scene that is fine. just as you can go play softball and not watch MLB. but to understand why things are the way they are knowing what is going on at the highest level will make sense to some of the things you do see. majority of the balance changes are due to competitive play. champs that gives us average joes issues are easy for pros who play 14 hrs a day 300 days a year. and they are pros there is alot of talent that goes into that. is it a actually sport? who knows?

a very large portion of players don't watch lcs, which is a shame since they haven't seen the "WHAT WAS THAAAAAAAAAAAAT" moment that turned faker into a legend. Anyways no, it's not bad.
Riot isn't going to sit you down in a chair and make you watch LCS.
understanding why certain champions are op instead of just the same 4 
champions that we all at some point complain about is really a big part about the LCS.
While some teams are garbage to us fans because of their record for example Echo Fox. The team consists of 5+ Challenger players that have all ready got passed B-S-G-P-D-M-C and are in the LCS because their all good at the game and they know how to win against the Solo Q "op" champions.
They also play as a team each game. Very interesting topic because if casual viewers of the LCS watched how the teams play and use it with 4 of their friends in games it will boost your wins and you solo Q players will know how and when to get objectives-Towers- fights etc etc.
The LCS is also 1 huge guide that says " THESE CHAMPIONS ARE ELO - USE THEM"
