Thoughts? They are making poor champion select decisions, which they didn't make back when coaching was not allowed in the "huddle" so to speak. Like, why would you pick Sion for a protect the kog-maw? Maokai would have worked 100000x better. Its almost like they are over-thinking their champion selects now, and other teams are beating them in champ select.
While other teams are performing better with coaching help, C9 seems to be having way worse champ selects.

If the coaches are overriding Lemon's champ select they need to be fired IMO that team has always had some of the most consistent champ selects for years. I am not a C9 "fanboy" but I take some offense to the idea of loosing one of NA's best teams due to some coach thinking they know better than the guys who have been out there doing it.

I mean they aren't playing that amazing either, but even the game before with Meteos picking Elise, etc. They could have picked anything but Sion.

Aozora1 votesI think Hai has tilted. He was outstanding at San Jose and that wasn't long ago at all, but these last two matches he played the role poorly. Playing passively as Fizz against Ahri and then today I think the protect the Kog'maw comp in general was just a bad idea. Hai remains to be my favorite mid-laner and the best shot-caller in NA, but he just seems to be under-performing atm. Hai has the potential to be one of the best mid laners.

Why would they even play reksai and sion if it was a protect the kog maw? Hell, they couldnt even protect the Orianna, much less the kog. They played the comp poorly but also Sion was just a big, useless tank doing nothing with hardly any peel, and the same goes for Reksai, doing nothing. Just like their team comp vs. TSM, they pick Elise over I think Jarvan? Or even any other kind of hard engage jungler, which is what their comp was with them trying to pop sivir ults and all in with a useless Elise.
Aozora2 votesYes exactly. C9 has been under-performing in the pick and ban phase. That first game, Hai played way too passive, Elise was picked when J4 was open (Lee Sin would of been better too), then the second game all of Cloud9 tilted.
Lemonnation's diary has honestly never failed them. They always had good picks and bans, now with this new coaching shit it seems that they aren't using it anymore.
RangerDanger50001 votesI believe its not coaching that has been going against them, but it appears (to me) that they are trying what they can and cannot do (they tried the fizz gnar comp at IEM and it failed there too). Personally I would prefer them to test stuff at the beginning (c9 isn't know to be amazing at the start of the season) then in the playoffs. Just my 2 cents
