Based on current rosters and what's left of the free agent pool (no selfie on C9C sadly >< ) I see C9 more than likely finishing 1st in the regular season and either G2 or Splyce finishing 1st in EU. As mentioned in previous posts on here, I see at least one of CLG/TSM having a "fall from grace" that'll push them out of the top 3 (especially with P1 becoming a ridiculously good import-built team) and although Fnatic has 3 worlds-quality parts (soaz/amazing/rekkles) Jesiz hasn't played competitively in well over a year while I've seen Caps play in challenger and am under the impression that barring a massive collapse from multiple teams he'll unequivocally be the second-worst midlaner statwise in EU (assuming origen doesn't somehow build a top-tier roster overnight).

NORTH AMERICA

Long story short

  1. COUNTER LOGIC GAMING
  2. PHOENIX 1
  3. DIGNITAS
  4. TEAM SOLOMID
  5. CLOUD 9
  6. CLOUD 9 CHALLENGER
  7. ECHO FOX
  8. TEAM LIQUID
  9. TEAM ENVYUS
  10. IMMORTALS

STORY .............................

The days of TSM being the most dominate team in NA is over; starting this next split! I'm banking they won't finish top 3 and be eliminated in the first round/or second round if they get a bye, either way they won't make it to the Spring Finals.

P1,Dignitas and Echo Fox are in deep Visa issues if it does come up where Ssumday-Chaser-Arrow-Looper etc etc might miss X amount of games so that remains to be seen, will it happen probably so I'm not holding my breath for NA to fix that anytime soon because they haven't in the past on multiple occasions. However if the teams do fix the visa situations I do see Dig and P1 being a very powerful team and "no" not just because of the Korean players. I liked Dignitas' team with Keane/Xpecial and Apollo but since Apollo and Lod switched I'm starting to dislike the team because of that alone however I still see this team finishing in top 5 even with visa issues.
P1 - Has a breakout star in Inori where he became a player for the team to grow around. As well as Adrian has to be the best supportive support in NA where he plays healing supports so that will help Inori and Arrow be that more aggressive knowing they have a 5 start heal/supportive support behind them.

IMMORTALS - With the former players leaving with the exception of Pobelter and the way the Immortals owners/coaches reacted is very impressive getting Dardoch and Flame etc; I just think they reached out and just started the reaching game. I'm going out on a limb but this team won't make the playoffs nor really have a season to hang the player's hats on as successful.

TEAM LIQUID - 50/50. This is the hardest team to predict for me. I'm going to say 8th for now but with 2-3 weeks left I might change my mind but for the most part there are other more talented teams out there and I'm going to say not a fan of TL's botlane at all!

TEAM SOLOMID and CLOUD 9 - These teams are going to take a nose dive..... I'll just leave it like that.

ECHO FOX- What has it been 5-6 years and Froggen still only farms and loses games..... but Looper is HERE to........ just be an average team.

ENVYUS - With the switch from LOD to Apollo I'm more confident with this team however it's still soft around the edges as I think Seraph sucks and always has and HaKuho is a forgettable support.

EUROPE

Long story short 1 UNICORNS OF LOVE 2 H2K 3 VITALITY 4 FNATIC 5 SPLYCE 6 G2 ESPORTS ...................................... 7 MISFITS 8 GIANTS 9 ORIGEN 10 ROCCAT

STORY .................. ORIGEN and ROCCAT neither has a roster so it's hard to predict where they could finish and with having 0 roster "moves" for them in the upcoming season it's slim pickings so I don't think either Origen or Roccat will finish in the top 6.
MISFITS could edge into the Playoffs as the 6th seed, decent roster. GIANTS were 50/50 last year and again with a non- complete roster you know either A. - The team is working on a huge player's contract to sign them or B. slim pickings with CS scene.

FNATIC- Nice roster, #1 ? - NO! At least for me. Wasn't too long ago that Zven and Mithy left OG because they felt their previous OG teammates were "slacking off" and while Soaz and Amazing really did carry that OG team without Zven and Mithy I have a hard time thinking they will be the #1 Seed going into the playoffs. While they win the Playoffs - maybe; as playoff exp is a key role to win a championship.

G2 ESPORTS - They were really good ( EU standards ) last year but it has been X amount of time since the players first played so I do see improvements this next split. However Perkz needs to mature because while he is a D*** good player it's his "mentality" to costs G2 games and it rubbed off on Zven and Mithy and they too became Perkz 2.0's.

If I had to pick a #1 seed going into the EU playoffs I would choose between these four teams(H2K-SPLYCE-VITALITY-UNICORNS OF LOVE)

VITALITY- Did someone say Alliance 2.0 ? This team says farm for 40 mins and while I don't think a 40min average team can be the #1 seed I will say top 4. H2K - Febiven will go OFF on this team so heads up to any fantasy players !, and so will this team. SPLYCE - We all go to school at a young age and in time we develop into brilliant young men and woman, same with Splyce. They had their growing pains as a team and honestly I was happy with their performance at Worlds this past year. THEY WILL ONLY GET BETTER, and helps that the players stuck together and not have the super-stardom cause rips and cause players to leave the team for bigger org and teams so that will only help this team. UNICORNS OF LOVE- I loved this team since they joined the LCS back in 2015, and while they haven't won a EU Finals they have at least been to a Finals before and yes it's true that they do finish lower and lower in the standings but I can't help but notice that UOL worked hard for a Worlds spot and with a underestimated Mid laner(Exileh) wouldn't surprise me if they are the #1 seed/team.

I wanna see Dignitas take off from where Apex left off last year. Only did a little worse than NV, and that team's on my radar as well.

Haven't put enough time into running down each team or the players of them. So I'll just give this a go even though I normally like looking at competition over who wins it all.

For North America, I'm setting my sights on Counter Logic Gaming winning for the split. It's a shame they won't be my primary team to watch this season (they were last year - time to move on). The upcoming season is shaping up to be a similar story as the last split: more players hungry for success with more stakes and reward in line. With that however, I do think that a team with enough seasoned cohesion will take claim of the title for the spring split at the very least. Of every team, CLG is the only team considerably not losing or changing anything in effects to teamwork and have the capability to improve in certain areas. Like em or not though, TSM always exists in the contest for winning a split even with a change that may impact the team's performance given the increasing competition. On top of that, dark horse performances have emerged quite often, and this split will be a heavy speculation as to who will look good enough to contest for that finalist spot if not winning.

As for Europe, my hands are absolutely in the air in regards to who will win and how will they do it. So I'm going to play it safe and throw my money on Splyce, once again going by the synergy conquers all purpose. UOL and G2 may still have their styles and evidence to perform better than the rest when they can put their effort at the maximum. I just believe that there could be an evident ceiling to G2's overall potential and that their mistakes in the previous split will not go as unpunished this time around. And for Unicorns, even though they are still unpredictable as to what team shows up for what game, that's still an attribute to factor in despite looking like a uniform team in their recent appearance. I honestly can't put a pinpoint on Splyce; they came into worlds only for experience. Does that experience translate? And that'll be the gamble I'll take on them.

I have TSM as #1 and P1 as #2
