If Fnatic wins the world championship this is going to be the first time in world's history an LCS team will win with the prescence of an Asian team. Fnatic will be the 2nd team (after SKT) will win worlds more than once. They won in season 1 world championship. This worlds tournament has been a rollercoaster. Of ups, downs, upsets, but let's end the ride with some history being made.

I just saw a fuken Xin Zhao in LCS tower dive Viktor at an early level...c'mon dude you're in the fucking LCS something that is like a ranked game except much more intesne. Why the fuck are you making plays like that? Plus yeah it was a C9 member against FNC...

I believe they're allowed to ff. I think it's happened before maybe twice tops. But on this level of play, ANYTHING can happen and it's the teams job to capitalize on whatever mistakes are being made. When they see an opening then it's most likely the chance where they can make a comeback. So really the 'never give up' mentality is very strong when it comes to eSports.

There's an argument to be made that he saw LB roaming up and decided to limit his death to just 1 person rather than 2, but the play was still bad so eh

Play starts at 29:30, you can see LB and Lee crossing C9's ward by the red buff but Xin still engages anyways, knowing that a countergank was incoming. He probably just didn't acknowledge it or didn't realize it, but either way he was going to die the moment his initial engage on Vik failed and he was left flashless. He probably realized that and decided to die to 1 person rather than dying to 2-3 and giving FNC more gold

Was it still an incredibly stupid play? Yep, but I'm inclined to believe that him tower diving was the best option after he still tried to engage.

Back then EU teams were by far the best teams in the world, even in season 2 Koreans weren't much better than EU so I don't get the disrespect. They won fair and square.

Season 1 did not have any representation from the dominate regions S2 to now. It doesn't count and never will.

That's because Korea didn't get much time to get a grasp into the game back in Season 2, They got the game in 2011, While NA had League since 2009 right from Open beta and EU got it since 2010.

While the organization that founded them was the same they were two seperate teams. I mean, there were 2 SS teams that were in worlds. SSB, and SSW. While the "samsung" teams won multiple world championship it wasn't with the exact same team. TBH I don't know how teams and shit work in Korea. We have 2 telecom teams. Like 5 Samsung teams within the LCK history.

SKT and KT rolster are different telecom companies backing different organizations.

SSW and SSB were 2 teams by the same organization, a ruling made them have to only run 1 team so they got rid of SSB and made SSW into SSG. SSW = SSG ; the same organization won twice

Rekkles benched himself less because he absolutely couldn’t play bruisers and mages, but also because Fnatic already had 2 top laners and if he subbed one of them down to adc, bwipo could do a better job than he could. This is probably the only reason bwipo started playing mage top laners, one of the big components in Fnatic success.

Here's hoping: Season 8 - FNC win Season 9 - A Taiwanese team rebrands itself as TPA and wins Season 10 - godlike rookie player gets signed by SKT and SKT wins Season 11- Gen G gets bought by Samsung again and win Season 12- godlike rookie player gets coached by Faker and learns how to play all sorts of roles for the team.
