I am so incredibly demoralised by TSM & IMT failing at worlds.

There is no reason for TSM to not have made it out of their group - they should have been 1st in their group. IMT should have made it out of their group in 2nd as well - they were against an under-performing Fnatic and a Wildcard team.

It's so hard to be an NA fan when NA flops at worlds -in groups- year after year.

THIS is why I hate NA.

Who the hell are you to say TSM SHOULD get first, IMT DESERVES second? It is arrogant and stupid, I am glad they both lost if the fans have this kind of entitled attitude.

I say that based of those teams' performances during the regular split. I say it because of the overall strength of NA this year - every team save for Liquid (and P1 toward the end of the 2nd split) were capable of taking games off even the top teams. Rift Rivals even showed NA's relative strength next to EU at the time.

How am I arrogant? EU looked like it was falling to pieces. LMS wasn't looking particularly strong. Hell, 2/3rds of the LCK seeds were and still are looking a bit shaky. LPL and NA seemed to be the only two stable regions. Based off this, I was expecting TSM to make Semi Finals, or get a bad draw and go down respectably & amicably against LZ or RNG.

Clearly NA didn't deserve to end up 1st/2nd in their groups because they played abysmally in the Group Stage. Thing is, though, I never said they deserved to. I said I expected them to. I made an informed prediction based off all the things I've made note of here.

That "performance during the regular split" is against other NA teams. Being a king of a mountain of poo doesn't make you a king of the world. And yeah, EU looked awful (they still do in fact, compared to past), even though Rift Rivals was a minor tournament that noone took that seriously (China won against Korea, I don't see anyone screaming that CN > KR). Remember MSI which was actually an important tournament, and how NA performed. It's always the same. NA is a bad region, and you can't use it as measurement for the team's strength. Always been that way.

But China IS stronger than Korea right now. SKT is falling apart. EDG is looking incredibly strong in Week 2. SSG look incredibly shaky. RNG are 1st in their group. WE put TSM to shame. I'm expecting a very close LZ vs. WE/RNG/EDG Final - hell, LZ might end up running the gauntlet against all the LPL teams depending on how the draw goes.

I pointed to TSM's performance IN COMBINATION with how NA looked compared to EU and who strong I deemed NA to be next to the other regions. I didn't just assume that TSM > Rest of NA > Rest of the World. It was more along the lines of NA = rest of the world > EU > Wildcard Regions

And like I said - look at MSI peformance. If you actually took that into consideration you'd never assume, that NA is anywhere close "rest of the world". Rift rivals isn't something you can do to measure NA's strength. This is just a delusional fanboy in you, that's all.

But next to RR, MSI is outdated information. This is just you picking an choosing information.

No, it's not. RR was a tournament that meant literally nothing. Longzhu, who is the strongest team in the world right now wasn't even there. Tons of the teams were doing trolly shit for most of the time too.

I don't get it. Why is everyone so surprised? NA has NEVER PERFORMED AT WORLDS! You guys are suddenly so stunned to see more of the same? NA will never hoist that trophy, or at least if they do it will be because KR esports has moved onto bigger and better games. Until then, hail your Korean overlords.

Mechanically I feel like Doublelift and bjerg are really good players, only the jungle sven I would consider underwhelming. The biggest weakness is they have like zero variability. They only ever play scaling comps, which only works when you can outplay your opponents early. So everyone playing against them just goes balls deep and picks super aggressive comps...... and TSM crumble...... again.

The coaching staff need to force aggressive play style during spring splits and replace sven at the very least.

feels bad

Coach + Sven should be sacked. Sven is constantly underperforming, is constantly the weak link in the team. TSM wins in spite of him. The drafts were awful. It's like he put no effort into researching the teams or understanding the meta.

I agree. sven really needs to be replaced. The coaching seems to be such a huge problem with TSM, I means its the same thing every year. TSM goes to worlds with 1 play style and gets shit on. Yet no one in the organizations says, "Hmm maybe we should try to stabilize our early game".
