New lolesports site is poorly designed.

I am not going to say I am a know-it-all web developer. But I will say this, I read the "Q&A" and it claimed that you guys were trying to make it more accessibility which is something most government sites have to do that receive federal or state funding they are required to reach certain "accessibility" scores. After navigating the new website and 100% clueless as to where to go to watch the LCK streams it seems that you guys are over-the-top-zealous with the damn card-stock web design. Can we seriously move away from this "Card stock" design because its seriously ugly and its like trying to add a bunch of ugly trash to make it pretty. You have to much going on with the main page. You need to have a WAY better navigation between parts of the site I even got a 404 error when going to "Watch.lolesports.com". Just going to say for the millions you guys make you could of designed a better site.

No riot wont listen to anyone in boards. Go make yourself useful and support another game. This one is only going downhill from here.

Wow... that is bad!

I went there with 1 goal in mind, the same goal I've had whenever I go to lolesports - I want to get to the VODs page.

Click Videos: No dice, that's just the filler stuff, not the vods.

Scroll down... just teams, I want to see the entire leage. Scroll down....... Ad for Alienware... Scroll down............. Other filler stuff that should be in the Videos tab that I closed... Scroll down.................. The news feed for LoL Esports.

No Vods...

OH, It's in the hotbar?! And that's the only place it's at? Seems pretty odd to only put the ink for that in the hotbar, considering it's a primary reason to go to the page in the first place!

Click the Vods link. "Matches start on Jan 26, check back then for VODSs!"

OK, but what about watching Vods from 2018? There use to be a way to change the year...

No UI element, try changing the year in the URL... and it redirects me to the current year...

What's worse, when I resize the window the content gets cut off! Putting it in half screen mode (something that's extremely common for me and Windows has default hotkeys for) I can't see "League OPs", Echo Fox, TSM, The Penta, etc.

And when I'm on the Vod page clicking the League icon doesn't take me back to the LoLEsports page...

WHO DESIGNED THIS?! This has the glamor of a page made in 2019 with the usability of a page made over a decade ago!

The videos and VODs are the heart of that site for me! Seriously I don't understand why they're focusing the information so much that strays away from and mangles one of the bigger desires.

I'm with you with not being a know it all and I'm one to be really sharp on design. I want to desperately criticize the flow of the site but I've done that twice with past jobs and that got nowhere...and I was requested to input improvements!

I tried watching one match, for the ''rewards''. I just fucking gave up after the narrators kept on rambling for ages with what seemed to be very scripted and the match felt like it wasn't gonna start anytime soon. Seemed like I had to watch the whole thing. I didn't.

I logged in just to make this thread exactly. HOLY CRAP ITS SO BAD. I remember it was pretty easy on the other site to see the upcoming schedule and find LPL, LCK, and LEC links. What is going on here? What am I looking at?

I agree. That website is just as chaotic as season 8 was. I was scrolling down forever before I reached the bottom of the web page. The organization and information of the site should not be sacrificed for a more fancy look. It is a very poor, congested design. As for the content, I always liked to look at the player builds for the pro games, but I just could not find it this time. Please, get some professional website developers.

Thank you everyone I kinda posted this out of frustration and left it alone but seeing how others had the same problems as me. made me feel good inside lol. Sadly their link to the vod patch was "Watch.lolesports.com" and not "Watch.na.lolesports.com" so it was clearly a typo meaning they didn't do any testing on a private server before going live. I also think if they truly are listening to people about the site then this is what I suggest.

If you have to have the Card-Stock generic web-site (Card stock is so over-used its basically generic now) Maybe categorize the cardstock in a simple row at the top with maybe some random stuff on the main page like news/events. Then top section you can put "Teams" "VODS" "REGION" "EVENT" "NEWS" You don't have to overly-complicate a website.
